11/26/2011 EARLY Bananahead reunions cruise

Greg, thats a great looking pool area. Some ships have really extravagant decor which I love to see picture of.
I wish they would let us tour some of the ships, just to see what they look like.

The Carnival Glory was a beautiful ship on the inside but nothing to do but gamble and trivia. Not even a good movie on the TV and the pools were half the size of disney. They reminded me of a pool you would see in a Spa area to just sit and relax in.

I wouldnt mind trying a Royal caribbean ship someday, but first we will probably try Holland America.Mostly for the many new ports all on one itenary.

Well the dogs have quit whinning finally and are resting. Everytime Greg is away for the weekend they whine and pace until night time.
Then they are up and barking at every little noise.

We have a club of 7 or 8 Rvs here tonight, plus a few more and both trash bins are filled to the top already. They dont pick up until Monday mid day.
I think it will be a problem by tomorrow:sad2:

Kathy

I beat Greg to the top:goodvibes

Greg you posted the last post and didnt even go for the top:confused3
You must be loosing it big time tonight:lmao:

Do you think the Ducks will swim or sink tomorrow?
Its going to be cold and rainy here all weekend.
YUCKY!!

Kathy

Good morning Nana's! wave2:

Yep, I was even looking for the top yesterday.

Today I'll be winterizing: blowing out the sprinkler lines, getting all the yard toys put in the sheds, shutting down the a/c, etc.

Winter is here!

Morning all,
Greg I sorta did the same thing.
I got out warm thermal blankets and underwear:lmao:
I also got out my 2 sets fo sweats which I seem to live in during the winter with my long johns on underneath.

My winter coat is hanging out now so its easy access and my gloves are handy. All I need to do now is to buy some new boots. I got cheap oneslast year and wore holes in the bottoms.:rolleyes1 This year I will spend a bit more and get better ones. I also have a device, not sure what you call it but you put it in the microwave and heat it up for 3 minutes then wrap it around your shoulders or put your cold hands in it or lay it on your lap and its nice and warm. It stays that way for abotu 30 minutes. It is a life savor in cold mornings and its bright purple!! Greg bought it last year for me.:goodvibes

We are 44 and very foggy this morning. Since Greg is gone this weekend i had to get out of a warm bed early to take the dogs out about 6 a.m.
Brrrrrrr!!!! Then they curled up and went back to sleep, while I am wide awake after that cold outting.

Not much else happening here so far today. Pretty quiet here. Nobody has ventured out that I have seen.

I'll check back later, around my lunch time.

Kathy

I got all my projects done today and now we're watching the Ducks play Washington.

Looks like they're whooping Washington's butt....its the 2nd quarter and the Ducks are ahead 28 to 0. :lmao:

Have a good night.

I saw a couple of my neighbors leave for the game. They had their green and gold shirts on and i saw gold pom poms in the trunk of the car as they were loading them up. It is cold and wet!! I hope they took warm coats.
QUACK QUACK!!GO DUCKS!!

I felt bad for Washington after the game....the ducks won....I think it was 52 to 6!

I guess I'm glad we didn't drive all the way over for that one....it wasn't that exciting. :confused3

morning all,

I gree Greg, when its such a landslide it looses some of the excitement for both teams. I like a good close game where it can go either way right up to the last few seconds of the game. Of course I want to win when its that close too.:goodvibes
YIKES!! I agreed with Greg. Now thats scary!!!

It was 39 this morning so I stayed under the covers until the dogs drove me nuts wanting to snuggle and warm up. By morning their blankets have come off. :lmao:
So I turned on the furnace and the small electric heater until it all warmed up, then I turned off the furnace. The little heater will work after the first chill is out of the air.
It poured rain all night. But just as I stepped out to take the pups out it stopped. YEAH!! Of course it was wet and cold but at least it didnt dump on me.
I think I will send it your way Greg. It should turn to snow for you:rotfl2: I know how much you miss all the clearing of the drive way 2 and 3 times a day:rolleyes1 After all it is October and you should be covered in white stuff by now.

I can hardly believe our park here is 3/4th full this morning. We wern't that full even in the peak summer travel season. Only 7 are here for a group the rest are just pulled in for the night. Makes me wonder where they all are going in October?

Well its time for some breakfast and I am watching some episodes of Hogans Heroes this morning. They are pretty funny, even though I have seen them all over and over again.

Have a great sunday everyone,

Kathy

Ok everyone i have a question.
I know it's hard to believe there is something i dont know but once in awhile I do find something I am not sure about. :rolleyes1

Most of you used the magnetic paper , standard sheet size for your door signs like i did. Have any of you cut that paper?

I was thinking of making 2 signs out of one page but I am not sure how hard it is to cut or if it cuts a nice smooth edge or not?

It is too spendy to just start cutting it up to experiemnt on.

Thanks,
Kathy

Good morning Kathy.

Yep, its a cold, overcast, rainy morning here also. So far the snow isn't staying here in the valley, but the mountains are covered in white.

I've turned off the a/c and turned on the furnace a few days ago.

Chayce is outside splitting some wood so I can start a fire in the fireplace this morning. :woohoo:

Isn't it great when kids get old enough to help do that kind of chores:thumbsup2
I assume you will soon chop a lot of it for winter so you dont have to chop it each morning:rolleyes1

Dawn,
those are so precious. She truly looks like a little princess.
From the size of the pink hem you added she has really grown a lot since you got her the dress and you were so clever to add the hem. People would never guess it wasnt the original dress. Great job:thumbsup2

Still pouring here.
I put a hamburger stew on to cook today. I figure thats good for 2 dinners that sound good on a cold evening. Greglikes hamburger stew alot better than regular stew meat. So he will be happy.

I have been watching Criss Angel . It is a repeat but he is a very good illusionist. I like his levitations. I have seen how some magicians do 2 kinds of levitation but that wouldnt work for the way he does his. So it still facinates me. I know its all tricks and illusions but you still have to be very good at what you do to pull it off. I really dont want to know how he does it, that would ruin it.

well time to go, the rain has briefly stopped so the dogs can go out for a quick break,

kathy

A lady on our RCCL cruise chat thread posted this picture of the adutls only pool on our ship....the Jewel of the Seas.

Now that is what I call a pool! :woohoo:

OMG Dawn, she is soooo cute.......I love the last picture of her in front of the castle.....how adoreable.

Kathy....what I used was photo paper then went to a craft store Michaels and bought in a roll magnets and just brought that along with scissors and cut and added the magnets when I got on the ship. It worked out well for me.

Not much goin on around here....just to my dads this morning and now finishing up laundry.

Have a good evening all

denise:banana:

Greg you must have been mesmerized by Elizabeths photos because you got the top and you didnt even brag about it:confused3

Whats the world coming to:scared1:

Wendy, Denise thanks for answering my question.
Good night all,

Good night all,

Kathy

Yeah, I didn't go t sleep until after 3am this morning and tonight isn't looking any better?

Janel, Nicole & Brayden are all sick....probably swine flu. I've been playing nurse/maid for the past few days.

They don't seem to be getting really sick, just regular flu symptoms along with muscle and joint pain.

Have a good night.

:scared1: UGH! Speedy recovery and super pixie dust to the caretaker!

Morning all,
Sorry to hear everyone is sick Greg. Maybe everyone will get it now and be done with it. Hopefully they will build up a resistance to it after this.
Did anyone get a flu shot? I have been debating getting one. I always worry it will make me sick. Some it does.

Cold here again. suppose to be 65 to 70 everyday but lows in the 30's. I think this will be our last warm week. Winter is here.
