I was thinking that for just the hand full of us that post on this thread.....we do pretty good! :lmao:

Not much going on today. Winter is here and I'm starting the sequence of shutting down the canal systems until irrigation season starts back up next year.

I guess our school district needs a new high school, so we're suppose to vote in a couple of weeks. If it passes Chayce's class will be the first class in the new building in two years.

Later.....

afternoon....

I tried posting yesterday but it just wasnt working:confused3

Kathy hope the meds work for your mom...that is so sad and so hard for you.

About the neck thing....I dont know, never used one however, I have seen a lot of people use them and they have always had the pillow/cushiony ones....

other than rain here....nothing going on

oh the house showing seemed to have gone well they were there for almost 20 minutes....which I was thinking was a really good thing..but when talking to my realtor the next day...this is the feed back.....the house showed very well, its on their list, but not on the top of their list....:confused3 so I guess that would be a no!!!.....I guess they are transfer people and they have looked in the other surrounding area and just havent decided where they want to move yet.

have a good one all

Hi Denise and Greg nice to see you guys today:goodvibes

Our fog is gone and its a nice sunny day. 60 out right now but should hit 65 by late afternoon.

Where we lived a few years ago they said we needed a new high school too. They presented their budget and it was approved. I dont know if they added more to it later or if the person who put together the bid was a complete idiot but it was half done and they were broke.

It is a small town, lots of farm people and they were so mad they wouldnt vote in the extra money to finish it up. They let freshmen go there in one tiny area that was finished. I think it was 3 or 4 years before people voted to allow them the budget to finish it up. They are still working on it.

They kept telling people that they needed extra fancy computer and science labs for the kids. It is directly behind where my mom lived and you can see the top of the 3rd story. It is really fancy looking with lots of fancy windows. They could have cut some of the design to help save $$
Anyway I am still waiting for it to be finished. I expect them to say they need even more money which I dont think they will get. I think its been 6 or 7 years now since it was started.

I hope yours is budgeted better than ours was. Ours is a big joke around the town.:lmao:

We had a similar thing happen here a few years ago when we built two new middle schools. The contractor did a crappy job and went bankrupt. The school district had to sue them to get part of their money back and then the voters had to supply the rest of the money to fix it.

Since then we've learned our lesson and the district hires an independent construction manager to over sea every single phase of construction and report to the school board on the progress.

The new elementary school they just finished this year is very high quality and was done under budget. They saved enough money that they were able to add on additional class rooms. :thumbsup2

Good morning Nana's!

Going to be a busy day today. I need to get our sprinkler system winterized and get all the vegetables out of the garden.

We've been trying to decide which excursion to do on our Mediterranean cruise next year. Planning our excursions in Egypt has really been exciting for us. :woohoo:

The kids want to do the tour that takes us to Giza on a camel caravan to see the pyramids and then by bus to the Egyptian museum in downtown Cairo so we can go through the "mummy room".

The ship stays in port at Alexandria two days, so we'll probably stay the night in Cairo....that way we have more time to do everything.

Morning nanaheads,
Greg it sounds like your really going to be working all day today.
I think a Camel caravan would be awesome!!
Greg rode on a camel with the kids when they were younger some where. I think on the coast. I have photos , the kids loved it!!!
You'll have to take lots of photos on that trip.

Today I am going to try and finish up my FE gifts. I am almost done and should finish up today.
Then to think about door signs.

Later all,

Kathy

Ok its lunch time and nobody has showed up here? Hope your all having fun somewhere doing something.
I know Greg is working.
You must have really been focused this morning about work because you got the top and didnt even comment about it:scared1:
Thats twice this month you've done that. Your really starting to worry me:rolleyes1

Have a good afternoon all,

I will be back later. Its time for lunch now.

Kathy

Only 34 days till we leave for San Juan :woohoo::woohoo: And the one thing I am most thankful about is NOT having to pack FE gifts! I get the suitcases ALL TO MYSELF! ;)

So now the truth comes out huh??
We're not worth a few inches of space in your suitcase:confused3

We leave in 22 days for WDW and then a 7 day cruise and my suitcase will be filled with FE gifts that I made all by myself for me new friends.:snooty:

Have an awesome cruise. Take photos of your room and the ship for us to see ok? I love seeing the decor of other crusie lines.:goodvibes

I'd love to go back in time and redo our vacation in Aruba. :woohoo:

I was really tempted to book a cruise to Aruba in March instead of our Panama canal cruise, but I know it won't feel as new and exciting the second time around....especially since we we're just there in June.

Hope you guys have fun....and take lot of pictures for us! :thumbsup2

Well I tried boiling one for an hour for banana soup but it was kinda chewy, so I fried the next one like a fritter after dipping it in batter but again the flavor just wasnt strong enough for my taste.:rolleyes1

Hey Greg did you see those webbed footed Ducks waddled all over Washington today.:banana::banana:
