Kathy, So sorry to hear about your mom

Greg, Looks like everyone is having a great time!

Not much going on around here. Took the boys to get their hair cut last night. Doing alot of sewing. Friends over.

Starting this weekend, I'm going to get out the WDW list and organize. Got stuff thrown in a corner--but it's time to put it all together.

Greg , those were great videos. I am surprized the pool was so empty on the first video. I love the pools where they have swim up bars and food places. Its so cool not to have to get out of the water to eat.

Morning all,

Greg , those were great videos. I am surprized the pool was so empty on the first video. I love the pools where they have swim up bars and food places. Its so cool not to have to get out of the water to eat.

Hi Kathy, how is your mom doing today?

I think there is only about 12 other families here at our resort.....feels like we have the entire place to ourselves!!

The pool is really fun with the swim up bar and waterslides. The beach here is awesome, but its been closed since yesterday because the surf is a little to high, but the water is really warm!

We're going to Ocho Rios tomorrow to climb the Dunn's River Falls and then Janel, Chayce and I are going scuba diving Saturday....should be fun!

But it isnt looking good. Now her kidneys are shutting down. Not sure she will ever get out of the hospital again, if she does she will probably go to a hospice facility.
Waiting for news to see if she is conscious or not or if she even has her mind still. She was out of it last night. Probably wont know us now even if she lives for awhile.

Not a good time for me.

Back when I can.

Hope your not roasting still. We are down to 80 for a few days then a couple in the upper 70's which will be so nice

Hi Kathy, how is your mom doing today?

Sounds like your having fun Greg. Is this Chayce's first time scuba diving?

They got mom stabilized and had to give her 2 units of blood. Beside her congestive heart failure she has a leaky valve and one that is working backwards part of the time. If she was younger and healthier they can fix those things but not in her case. The surgery would be fatal for her.
Her heart is working at 1/3 is capacity.
Just the stress of the hospital was really hard on her even with meds to help.
The Lasiks to remove the fluids from her lungs also makes the heart work harder so NO more big doses of that. Just small ones. It will be a touch balancing act.

So this afternoon they are sending her back to the facility where she lives and then we will see about hospice if we want. My brother is going to be with
her later to see how much her mind has gone down. We dont even know if she will know us now.
I dont mind that as long as we can make her comfortable as possible. thats all that matters for now. If it looks like she will know me I will go in this weekend to see her.

Greg the videos look great......I noticed that the kids didnt look that happy tho......I guess they miss their older sister (that'd be me)....

Actually they look like they are having a great time......its not fair that you are sharing these really nice videos while the rest of us have to work....bad boy!!!

heading in tomorrow morning to see my mom on sunday. My oldest DD is coming to visit us at moms place it is close to her place so that will be nice.


I had to turn on a heater this morning to warm us up. Last week at this time it was triple digits here, this week exact opposite. they are saying 70 today but thats really hard to believe when you look out at the weather right now.

Everyone must have had a busy Saturday!

Boy is it hot here! Had to turn the air on last night--only the second time this summer! The humidity and heat index are bad. Waking up to 75 degrees this morning, but I guess with the humidity it feels like 82!

Kathy, how's mom doing?

Denise, your time to see Izzy is getting close!

Stephanie had a successful surprise birthday party yesterday for my son-in-law Sam. We actually pulled it off!

Hello all,

Wasn't able to get online yesterday, the internet at the resort went down and they just got it back online a few minutes ago.

Yes, Holly does smile on rare occasions.

The kids are having a blast. They all love the swim up pool bar where they can order smoothies and cheese burgers etc. whenever they want. I think Brayden ordered 5 cheese burgers and 8 smoothies yesterday, which is amazing for him because he hardly eats anything!

Holly, Brayden and Nicole all love there Nanny (Pearline) and she really does a great job keeping them entertained which is wonderful for Janel and I!

The weather has been excellent! I was worried that it would rain most of the time, but it has only rained once since we got here and it only lasted 4-5 minutes!

It been nothing but sun and fun since we got here!!

The kids have all made really good friends here at the resort from families from all over the world.

Nicole has a new friend Maria who is also 8 years old and is here with her family from Spain and Nicole is really enjoying learning how to speak spanish.

Brayden made a new friend who is from Kingston here in Jamiaca and we can't keep them appart!

Holly has made friends with two twin girls from Florida and they play really cute together.

Chayce has made several friends as well, but none as fun to watch as this 14 years old girl from New York who follows him everywhere!!...I think he's starting to get annoid with her though?!

All in all this has been a wonderful vacation for us. This resort really caters to kids and a lot of families from around the world come here because of how "kids friendly" this resort is.

Weather is hot here also, but I'm not complaining since we havent had these hot temps yet this year.

Yeah back to work tomorrow.....going to be a very rough week..we are down two people and what a huge difference that makes.....

We had no electricity this morning. Some rain passed through about 4 o'clock but nothing really of any significance.

Howdy all,
Dawn i am here. I was exhausted last night so I didnt post when i got home.

Felt like I was riding a roller coaster this weekend.
Good and bad all weekend long but over all it went well. But it is emotionally exhausting. Mom is growing weaker but holding her own better than expected.


Greg, so glad your having such a great time.
Next year you need to bring your adopted triplets, Dawn, Denise and Kathy with you. We will even stay in a separate room, just so you can have privacy. You wont even know we are there, until you get the bill

Hi Denise,

hope this week goes a little smoother for you. I noticed the facility where my mom is was down 3 people sunday and they were calling in more people.

Those poor people really had their hands full when i was there. One guy in his wheel chair was yelling and cussing up a storm which was upsetting the other residents, at least those who can hear.

My mom couldnt hear him but he about ran her down in his wheel chair. He was going all directions without looking around. The head nurse got him out of the crowds as quickly as possible.

He is usually in the other ward where the worse cases are but he had managed to get over to my moms side where the higher levels residents are,boy was he causing trouble. I felt sorry for him and the nurses there.

We were a cool 52 this morning,no rain and headed for low 80's all week

I still have last nights dishes to wash, so best get to it. Then to walk the girls and hopefully a nap. Ha Ha!!

See Greg....you should have adopted me last year when I asked now look what happended.....went from single to triplets in less than 24 hours..... But I have to agree with Kathy......just book us a seperate room....we will behave.....you can trust us!!!!!:

Well so far not to bad for a monday...but the day isnt over yet!
