Well darn...yes we were there 8/17 - 9/2.

Don't even say that Samantha would have loved to have seen you guys and so would we have. Where did you stay? We had a suite at the All-Star Music

Evening all:

Greg: thanks for the birthday wish....you are correct my actual birthday is tomorrow. Just starting the celebration a few days early!!

Well my son ended up with food poison...he went out friday nite for sushi and has been sick all weekend...ended up in the emergency room sunday nite...but is actually do better today, but we cancelled our bbq.....didnt want to feed him to much.

I had a great birthday dinner....went to this NewOrleans/Cajun resturant and had the best food there....

Just hung out today, cut the lawn trimmed some branches on a tree in the yard and did laundry....just have to iron my scrubs for work tomorrow and I'm ready for the work week I said I was ready.....not happy.

Dawn, looking forward to seeing pictures of your trip.

Howdy gang, we are int he 40's this morning BRRRRR!!! Had to turn on the furnace this morning.

Looks like Joanna should have been posting sooner and then Dawn would of known she was there too. See Joanna you shouldnt have stayed away from the bananaheads all this time

Ok anybody going to be at WDW Nov 2 through the 7th?
We will be there during that time. We will be at the All Star Movie resort.

Now if we miss anybody it wont be my fault
It just means nobody wanted to see us

Wish I could have slept in this morning. I was exhausted. Dogs are still sleeping in. Trying to sleep 3 nights in a recliner with a 66 pound dog in your lap isnt the best way to try and sleep No I am NOT going to explain that, just take my word for it that it was just one of those weekend when very little went right.

I hope next weekend goes better.

Lots to do today, laundry, vacuuming, going to cook something good in the slow cooker for dinner. Greg has had sandwiches for ever for dinner. I have some round eye steak with onions and red potatoes to put in the pot. They shoud be very tasty tonight.

We've got the cold weather too. Last night was the first night since June that we didn't leave our doors and windows open all night.

Sorry to hear your weekend wasn't the greatest....how is your mom doing?

Acutaually, I was telling my friend that you live there and how you posted pic's of Mardi-Gras and it was February and you had shorts on......so yes, you were thought of..... he said that he wants to go there sometime and try all the authentic cooking

Seems we all didn't plan our exposés to Orlando very well this year.....everyone is just missing each other!

Christine, sorry we are just one day apart. Ours was a late planning change for everything. Maybe another time.

we are doing WDW before the cruise.
We are catching a red eye Nov 1st and arriving early monday morning the 2nd and and staying until around noon on the 7th and then taking the cruise line bus to the port. Then an 11:30 a.m. flight back to PDX. We will drive as far as my MIL's place, spend the night because it will be late. Then get the pups from the sitter early and head that long 2 hour drive home.

Mom is worse each visit. Saturday was such a tramatic experience for me that i didn't go back sunday or monday like i had planned. They stopped me at the door to warn me she was having a bad day. But i chose to try and distract her from the bad to the possitive, I have done that many times before.
Not this time
Part of the time i dont think she knew who I was either, at least i hope that was part of the problem.

My brother has a cold so he cant go see her just yet, I want to see what kind of visit the has before i go back. Hopefully she will have gotton through this phase and onto something else not so bad. But there is no way to tell until it happens what the next mental situation will be for her.

It seemed many of the residents there were acting up too. Maybe there was a full moon

one resident kept pulling my jacket and I would get it back and she would do it over and over again. You cant tell them no, they dont understand, so it is tough.
Another lady ran over my toes in her wheel chair. Then a woman who never talks clear came up to us, spoke very clear saying I'm dying, I want to go home, I'm all alone.
Of all times for her to talk clear. UGH!! Luckily mom is deaf in her left ear so she didnt understand her. But I did and it was hard enough without everyone else having a bad day.
Knowing mom she probably got them all going


Boy am I ready for a vacation!!!! I am even getting more gray hairs

That shouldnt happen to such a young person
I cut off about 6 inches last week, it was down to my waist.

I hope your visit next time is better.

Hopefully Orlando will be cooler in November then it was in August! We about died from the heat and humidity! The weather in Jamaica was perfect though! I thought we'd get rained on everyday, but it was beautiful! Brayden and the other kids are still talking about our experiences in Jamaica.

We're thinking about booking a 12 day Mediterranean cruise just before Christmas next year with a two day stop in Alexandria Egypt to check out the Great Pyramids and the Egyptian museum......wanna come?

Kathy next time wait and cut off 10" than you can donate it. I've done it twice and it's a wonderful feeling. I'll do it again next year.

Again with bad timing. I think we are all going on Med cruises next year but at different times to differnt places.
