Here's where we ate last week and my thoughts:
Prime Time 50's -Food was average, overpriced and the wait staff was nothing special. No antics at our table. Just took our order and gave us our check. Probably would not return any time soon not because of the wait staff but the food was nothing special. I had the chicken pot pie. Others had fried chicken and chicken caeser salad.
Sci Fi Drive In - I know the food here gets a bad rap but we were pleasantly surprised. The burger was delicious and 3 in our party had the shrimp and pasta dish which everyone loved. Will return.
Narcoosee's - First time I deviated from my standard surf and turf and first time I was disappointed. Lesson learned. Had the grilled scallops and wild mushroom and farro rissoto with basil emulsion. Scallops were burned and dry - they did redo and pan seared them but the results were still dry. The rissoto was barley and dry and the basil emulsion didn't blend in in any way. Will stick with my surf and turf or lobster. Wait staff was excellent.
Cape May Clambake - Excellent. Love those clams and crab legs. Balance of the buffet was also very good although I would love to know who just takes the fresh mozzarella from the cucumber and tomato salad. Happens to me every time. Our waiter was excellent. Not fond of the desserts but by that time I was stuffed. Not a chocolate fan.
Chefs de France - Lunch. Gotta love the French Onion Soup and Lobster Bisque. Had the mac and cheese - could taste the nutmeg - was okay. Should have stayed with my Alsacian Tart - to die for. Profiteroles were very good.
Captain Jacks - First time I ate there in my 25+ visits and what a pleasant surprise. Had a lunch special open faced chicken parm sandwich and fresh chips - Was excellent. Will return again.
