Good morning to everyone,

Sharon, good to see you back posting again.

Today they say we have bad storms coming this afternoon, with a high possibilities of tornadoes again New Orleans is having the same storm right now and they had a few homes destroyed early morning, dotn know about injuries yet. I hope we dont get hit hard again. People are still recovering from 10 days ago!!
Guess Minnie and I will have an early morning walk today or we wont get to go.

When you folks have your birthday celebrations, be careful of Mutt!!
He is sneaky with his camera hopefully one of you will get a good picture of him If you do, you have to post it and share.

Gonna cook a pot roast today, so we'd better not loose power later!

I just saw the weather forecast and we are under a winter storm warning through tomorrow afternoon....4-8" of snow throughout the day today and another 4-8 inches overnight. The wind is quite strong so it is snowing sideways!

I havnt seen real snow for 7 years now. I miss it. I know that is hard to believe when you have so much!! We have snow here in Florida every year at MGM studios, just dont try to catch a snow flake on your tongue unless you like a soapy flavor

Kathy, the tornados hit here about 4am and they have about 20000 homes without power right now, we haven't heard too much about injuries yet. The storms hit about 30 minutes from me on the Westbank of the city. My nieces school is closed because it crossed the street near her schol and they lost power. I'll keep ya'l updated

Please do! I'm trying not to call my friends down there and just wait until they get online at work. Kinda hard to wait! Kev always laughs at me for getting worried... Is that typical New Orleans' sense of humor???

I'm tellin' ya, they've had floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, an earthquake (right? or am I remembering that wrong?)... Geez!

We are all trapped in the house today as the snow falls and falls and falls. We are SO not used to this and it's fun for a while (about five minutes) and then STOP ITTTTTTT.

Wendy I am glad you posted, I was thinking about you when I watched the 5 a.m. news. I just saw a few pictures on the noon news. too. Looked exactly like what I see a couple miles from home. Horriable and just unbelievable that mother nature has such power.

Hopefully nobody was killed there.

We are just now getting the clouds moving in and the winds are starting to pick up. Weatherman say we still have 2 or more hours before we get hit with what ever comes our way. This time I think the worst will be coming through North of us. But you know how unpredictable tornadoes can be, you just never know when they will pop up.

Last year Greg walked out of a meeting at work and saw one form to one end of the parking lot. But it disappeared quickly. Another time on the job site he walked outside to see a small tornado pick up a big trash receptacle (dumpster)full of lumber and building scraps and move it about 50 feet.

Bill: Can't wait to celebrate your birthday on the 15th. Or, am I tooooo old???!!!! Really, I can stay awake past 10 pm that weekend. Anyone else want to venture to Michigan that weekend? Weatherwise, it can be as hot as 85 and cool as 40.

Wendy! Glad to hear you guys are okay. I had posted on the other board, you know the cruise you WILL be on , and Kathy told me that you had posted over here. A little worried about you guys since I wasn't quite sure of where you live.

Hi Guys, well the power has been on and off most of the day, so its been a little hard to post. As of right now they only no of one death due to the storm, a tornado picked up a FEMA trailer and threw it about 100 feet, with a elderly lady in it. We din't have any tornados near us, but my sister and her husband were woken up at 330 by the house shaking, by the tie they got my niec up it had stopped, by my BIL said he heard that train sound they mae pretty close to thier house. My niece is just happy she will be off the next few days, since the worst part of the storm hit on the street her high school s on. Plus they are all off all next week for Mardi Gras.

Brandie, I don't remember an earthquake except for the time LSU beat Notre Dame in the last 3 secs of the game and the stdium rocked so hard from all the sreaming that it registered on the Richter scale as an earthquake.

Well, I'm glad you and yours are ok. I'm talking to my friend in NOLA right now and he says it will take a heck of a lot more to worry him enough to move here to Denver. *argh* Well, at least I was wrong about the earthquake! *teehee*
