Bill-That cake is great!!!:thumbsup2 Wish you lived closer so I could hire you to make a cake for us. You have a great talent. It makes me want to take a cake decorating class.

Lorna:)

Classes, Lorna? You dont need no steenkin classes. I had roughly 3 hours training...they showed me how to make a rose. Actually I think Wilton may have a cookie monster cake pan but it was just me and me little serrated knife and a picture to go on---lol.

Glad everyone likes it....more feedback please....positive AND NEGATIVE. I can get all the good comments from my mommy, she hangs my cakes on her refrigerator.

Have a good day everyone~

Lorna ... I don't have the Little People set, but I do have the original Sesame Street album that was cut in ... what ... 1970? ... with the original cast! I think I may still have the Susan Sings album too which was from about 1972 or 73 or thereabouts.

That is the coolest cake I've ever seen! And Tyler went absolutely nuts over it! He just stared with his mouth hanging open, saying, "Uh.....uh.....oh....um..." Left him speechless! So glad we got to see those pics!

OH MY GOSH! We looked at the pics again and I asked Tyler, "Hey, there are bites taken out of that tray he's on...I wonder who did that?" He said, "Well Mom, I think Cookie Monster probably did that because he's on a cookie, so he would take bites out of a giant cookie." Smart a _ _! Don't you hate it when a 4 1/2 yr old is smarter than you? :rotfl: OR maybe I'm the only one who experiences that. Honest, I'm not blonde! (No intent to offend anybody who may be....inside joke.)

Mr. Monkey man,

A W E S O M E J O B !!! :thumbsup2

as usual.;)

Loved the monkeys too.

Where are the pictures of the baby shower cake and I believe there was one more you did a few weeks back?? Did you take a picture of them?? I hope so.

Your correct that Wilton does have a cookie monster pan. I used it back in 1980 for a cake walk at my daughters school. It is cute, but nothing compared to your cake. The 3D is much nicer.:yay:

WOW BILL: AWESOME CAKE!!!!!!! I'm very impressed.... It also sounds very yummy!!!!!
So when are ya gonna send some my way??????

Later

The baby shower cake:

IMG_0157.jpg

Top tier is white with strawberry filling, bottom tier is chocolate with french vanilla mousse filling. Baby bottle is made of sugar paste, and the diaper pins are chocolate.

The Spaghetti Cake:
spaghetticake.jpg

It was also white/strawberry and chocolate/french vanilla. The meatballs (there were 2) and garlic bread are rice crispie treats (garlic toast is covered in fondant, meatballs are covered in chocolate), and the "sauce" is melted chocolate.

Wow!!!!!! Those are some great cakes. Looks better than the ones on the Food Network challanges!!!!!!

I agree with that. I was just sitting here watching Ace of cakes and thinking Bill could of done that and better!!!

Bill, you got your own fan club.:woohoo:
Of course fan clubs want samples ya know!!

Great job, Keep going the way you are and you'll make enough $$ to pay for a cruise in 09 too!! Then what ever is left over you can help the rest of us crusie in 09 too. P L E A S E !!!!
(remember MOM gets help first before friends)

Bill, one question about the spaghetti cake, how did you do the noodles.???
Did you just squeeze frosting through a small plain tip??

One way I did it years ago was to take a potato ricer and fill with extra stiff icing and press it through. I had to do it a few times but it made great looking noodles and didnt take a lot of time.
Using rice krispies for the meat balls and garlic bread was an awesome idea!!
I wasnt that creative, just used chocolate truffles for the meatballs. I will have to remember the rice krispie trick. You could really do a lot with them.
I am learning a lot of great tips from you, keep posting your cakes and tips i really enjoy them.

Kathy

Truly amazing cakes! If I lived closer, I'd hire you for every single cake occasion from now on! :thumbsup2

OK......STOOOOOOP! I thank you all for your comments. It means a great deal, especially coming from my new family. But you still have to stop. The ego thing has gotten out of hand and I'm having a hard time going through doorways! My wifes going to enter my head in the Macys parade. Seriously...thank you all very much....we'll see how it goes.

Kathy....I just used a plain #2 tip to make the noodles. I was going to try to run the buttercream through a playdough machine but the piping was just as easy and looked very nice. When I make my first million, you and Greg are going to have a real problem. The problem would be whether you want to stay in the Walt suite or the Roy suite (pack for a 14 nighter....we're going to do it right....I wonder how much it would take to get the real Cpt. Jack to go with us? hmmm).

Anyways...ty all again....pluto:

Sorry Bill but I didn't get to put my 2 cents in....WOW you have some serious talent and nerves of steel I would suspect :rotfl2: I would end up throwing things in the kitchen before I could get anything to look that great....DH has a saying "look out kids, you mom is baking cakes again..." This has to do with the one and only time I tried to make my kid's birthday cake with one of those molds :scared1: ended up at the ACME buying one a half an hour before the party started:lmao: Bill you are "DA BOMB" :worship:
