Howdy all,

For those of you that don't know me...my name is Okie-DH is Rick-aka J&C's dad-DS 16 Josh-aka joelidol and DD Chelsea is 15.....tomorrow This will be our 3rd consecutive year on the Disney Cruise at this same time-we love it-hope this cruise will be a little less rocky though---I did enjoy the sight of the wave pools

DD's 15th birthday party was today. Just DH's family came as my mom is just not up to leaving the house-now she has severe peripheral neuropathy which is a complication from the long term use of the antibiotic she needs to take for the bowel infections she has been fighting for months-thus all the falls . And my dad has a dreaded cold

Just found out that the hotel we booked through travelocity-and paid through them-just charged my credit card -so I have been billed twice-- I can't seem to win!

Put our Christmas tree up tonight and all the decorations-looks great.

DH has a job interview tomorrow-sure hope it works out for the best for him.

Got to go now..it is late...I have to work on a Christmas wreath at work-we have a contest at the hospital and somehow my coworkers voted me in to help them

Glad to see you decided to post. You can't let the men at your house get the upper hand ya know!!! Maybe DD will post this time too. That would even the odds.
Sorry to hear they billed you twice. That shouldnt be too hard to get corrected, I hope!!! Sometimes the easier things are the biggest pains!!!


Well so far it is a quiet Monday morning. I feel like my cold might be getting a little better today, I hope!!
Going to try and get my stocking stuffers this morning so I will be done shopping, then I can do some baking which is my favorite thing to do.

are you making any special cakes for Christmas or New Years??? If so please post the pictures, I would love to see them.
For Christine and the others who dont know Bill, he is an awesome cake decorator!! ( Boy that hurts to say)
I would put his cakes up against any of the decorared ones on the ship or in the local bakery. Of course I dont know what they taste like?? Hum, maybe that is his weak spot, the flavor??

(I'll speak for DH, like I always do! )Oh, so wrong! Remember, that one he made for Thanksgiving had a pumpkin mousse in between the layers (YUM!). We've been talking about the Xmas cakes ... can't wait to see how they turn out! Will post pics!

Kathy... I have two weaknesses....one is being petrified of the public. I'm not a good public person (family is different and you folks are all family now).

The other is Woo... just don't know where I'd be without her. She made the mousse' btw.....I just threw the thing together.

We have a similar arrangement here, Greg earns the money and I spend the money He'd be lost without me!!

Tomarrow will be our 33rd anniversary, which of course I had to remind him of tonight!!! Today is his mom's birthday, so you'd think since he always remembers her birthday he would remember we got married the day after her birthday

Of course he always reminds me that the human body often blocks out painful or tramatic events in our lives. That is his excuse for forgetting our anniverary!!
His other excuse is he proposed on April fools day so his proposal didnt count.
He is good at finding excuses. He is a real character

well I just finished sending Linda some recipes for our nana head cookbook she is putting together. I still have a few more I want to send tomarrow. then she can pick out the ones she wants to copy. I am only sending our family favorites.
Are you guys sending her any recipes too?? I know she hopes several people will contribute, so spread the word!!

Morning all,
for those of you who are "old nana heads" be sure and PM Linda and give her a few of your favorite holiday receipes for our cookbook.

It is around 70 degrees today, but suppose to be rainy by Friday.
I am going to spend the rest of the week cleaning house and baking a few cookies. All the gifts are bought and wrapped. Thank goodness.
