Gotcha Kathy, I'll tell him to post.

I'll see if I remember anything from the cruise, but other than the excursions, my cruise was pretty much a bust. My cousin kept following me around, but didn't want to do anything on his own.

The first excursion we went on was the Rhino Rider in Saint Martin, or Sint Maarten. Cool! These riders will leave the waters too! My dad had back pains the next day. Speaking of which :offtopic: can you believe we had to tender?!? What is that!?! I've never heard of it. With all of the money Saint Thomas gets, you'd assume they'd increase the aount of ports they had to accomodate all.

Any ways, I knew the Rhino Rider left the waters because the engine revved once the propeller left the water. WE saw some sea urchines when we went snorkeling on the SAME EXCURSION. So cool. :cool1:

We got back on the Doubloon Sail and Snorkel this year. If you like to snorkel, be on a scooner, and love to have a good time and try a new concoction involving orange juice and rum (I obviously didn't have any) than this trip is for you. You even get to buy t-shirts, which I'll have to show you later.

We lost our camera on the way back home. All 300+ pictures gone! IT's still in Florida somewhere. Avis may be checking how our cruise went (we believe they stole it from us because we might have left it in the van we took) don't get me wrong and believe they are bad. We're not too sure yet. I think I'm delving in too deep anyways. I have to get off before I Become crazy    .
Too late     .

This is for all the nana heads:........

I am sooooo jealous......I dont think Wally and I will be joining you this time.

But anyone game for November 2008....then we can do anothr reunion.

I don't remember, but I'll bet Kathy can tell you! Has anyone set the initial quota for       ?

Oh Denise -- I see you now have a new avatar! :thumbsup2 Better do some work so we can afford to come with you guys in 2008! (Of course, all my coal shoveling helps, too!)

.

We got to see one up close & personal! When we were at Sapphire Beach on St. Thomas, DH comes walking up with something he was holding by one of it's "spikes". He drops it on my lounge chair and says, "Look what I found."

I looked at it -- it was still moving!!!!! It looked like black spikes that had attached itself to an empty seashell. (I guess I always thought they were more round.) We took some pictures & video, showed to the other people in our vicinity and then DH took it back over by the coral reef.

Pretty wild stuff!!! Maybe I'll be able to post a picture.

Iv....ty for the welcome.... and don't let these people tell you that I'm bad....NOT TRUE. I'm a very well behaved kind of mutt (I'm Bill, btw if no one has said that yet).

As for the banana thing....the dis boards DO limit how many you can put on one post....not that I've ever uh....tried to excessively post dancing bananas. :rolleyes1

I keep forgetting that this image is no longer a surprise thing....

Except when it comes to a certain crew member with a British accent! :lmao:

GOOD MORNING,
Ok, I believe 20 was the most bananas posted at one time on the last cruise.

We had a total at the time of the cruise of 12,688 bananas posted.

On this cruise so far we have 194 posted. I bet we can beat the old record easily.
Plus our goal was 6000 posts by cruise time and we made that pulse some.
So I say we try for 7,000 posts and 14,000 bananas??

What do you guys think?? can we do it??

Good morning!!!

Here's some more for the count!

Cheri

PS - lvstitch: my DH    Vegas! We were hoping to get out there for a short get away, but now that we've booked this cruise, it may have to wait a bit longer! He goes out there every February with co-workers so at least he'll get his "fix"!!

Kathy --

Did I read it correctly a few pages ago -- we have TWO people named "Cheri" spelled C-H-E-R-I on this thread?? What are the odds!!!!!?????

It's gonna take me a bit to get up & running to know real names & DIS names! :sad2:

"PG Cheri" :thumbsup2

Hi Kathy
   Still no camera and still waiting for the car rental to call and say they found it.
just sending you a post letting you know I found this thread...... well not really
my DS showed me where everyone went.

Oh yea ..... here are some bananas
catch you later, Rick

Yep Jeff,
we have two Cheri's and both were on the 11/25 cruise originally, but one had to change a couple months back and they happened to pick this cruise too. She hasnt posted in awhile, but hopefully those who havnt been posting will have time to start again.

Rick,
Glad you found us, now you can post for the next year instead of the last few days before the cruise like last time. We always need more guys on these threads.
usually it's the ladies who do most of the posting.

Sure hope someone will be honest about your camera, or at least mail the memory card to the taxi service and say it belonged to a camera they took.
I know I felt horrible the first day when I lost our camera and we only had pictures of disers on it in the terminal. Luckily Bob found it and gave it to me a couple hours after boarding. He is my HERO!!!!

well gotta take Minnie for a walk.

Hi Christine, hey have you got everyone straight so far, we really got a lot of new people all atonce, plus a couple more families are thinking about booking this cruise, so hopefully there will be more in a few weeks.

kathy

When I get some time I'll post about our great trip on the MAGIC

Did hear some passengers complaining about different things this cruise and if I remembered I heard people complaining last year.
My family never had any problems on both trips, only complain I had was THE WEEK WENT TO FAST !

I'd like to thank everyone for making this cruise even better, I hope that our next cruise doesn't go so fast.... can anyone slow down the ship ?

Oh by the way we are on for 11/24/2007  :yay:  :yay:

Catch you later, Rick

Kathy :
As for the camera and memory card goes, they can keep the camera all I want back is the memory card.....
I'd even pay a reward for the return of the card !
But if I don't get it back we'll have to take more pictures on the next cruise
on 11/24/2007 ! ! !
nana nana nana

got to go out in the wood shop to do more work !
catch you later, Rick

:cool1: We re-booked while onboard the Wonder last week for the Magic 11/24/07 cruise. How kid-friendly are the excursions to St. Maarten and St. Thomas? Any suggestions? This past cruise was our first cruise and we just fell in love with cruising. We can't wait to go back to Castaway Cay. We spent most of our time at Serenity Bay. The open-air cabana massage was the best! You people are bananas!

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: Jennifer and family,
Well I dont have little kids anymore, however we did have grandkids who were close to 2 and 5 and they went to the Butterfly farm at st. Maartin and loved it. The youngest got a little scared because there were butterflies landing on him, but once he found out they wouldnt hurt him it was ok.

St. Thomas we kept the kids and took them on an island tour, which was boring for them, but fun for us. Not much accept beaches there for little ones. I know my other grandkids took the lift (tram) up the side of the mountain for the view and there was a bird show there to see.

I have never been there yet, but Coral World might work for young kids. It is like an underwater observatory where you can go and see the fish in their natural habitat without getting wet yourself. maybe someone else here has done it and could give you details about it.

Glad to have you with our group. Part of us just got off the Magic and are calling this our reunion cruise.

Looking forward to getting to know you and your family over the next 11 1/2 months,

Kathy

Hey Kathy - what kind of camera do you have? You have some beautiful shots. Steve is going to buy me a small camera and I was wondering what kind you had.

We still haven't booked as of yet. We are still on 11/07 or 11/08 discussion. :confused3 Got to talk Steve into this. Money always seems to be an issue with men. I don't understand it.
Pat       (6)
