Wow!!!!!!!! That must really take some endurance. If I tried to do a 20k race, the only shirt I would get is the blue one that ties up in the back that you get at the ER!! LOL

It was a rough one! Lots of mud, but it's sure better than the 6 inches of fresh snow we had last month!

It also reinforced my thoughts about NOT wanting to do a marathon in the near future!!

Looks like a great day in store today--lots of sun!

Lauri, so good to hear from you. I have often thought about you. Sure wish you could join us again for a cruise.


we just got back from buying lots of colorful shrubs to plant out front. Greg is ripping out the old ugly stuff that was there when we bought the house.
Tomarrow we have lots of red mulch and small stone bricks being delivered to put around the beds. I t should look really nice when it is all done.
I am going to get some little statues or plastic animals to put out around the area too. Maybe soem little gnomes?? I will see what I can find.

I watched the Magic pull out last night, she was 30 minutes late, but looked so nice to see. Tonight I will watch the Wonder pull out. Gotta get my cruise fix.

Glad you said that, Kathy.... as Woo and I were watching the magic pull out, I was telling her "Thats GOTTA be Kathy, messin with the zoom on the ron jon cam. I kept jockying for control and the times inbetween got longer and longer.... I DID get the first 30 seconds of it coming out of the channel.

Anyways....if your watching tonight....just remember whose on the other end of the web cam....lol....

Cheri....hope you did well on your 20k. I did one of those last week in the snow....yeah, some would call it a "commute" and that using a car is cheating...but I like to listen to the radio on the way in. (sucks, cause I still came in 3rd.

Mutt, it pulled out so late that my time was used up on the Glory

It wasnt me. you know what an I am.
Minnie was on the other computer and I think she was monkeying around with the controls again. I will keep a better eye on her tonight as the Wonder pulls out.
Crazy dog thinks she owns everything and does as she pleases most of the time. Of course since she has been ill we have been more leanent with her.

I will tell her to behave tonight or she will loose her computer priviledges for a week

It's a nice sunny day out today.
Kinda chilly this morning though.

Well today the rest of my flower bed supplies will arrive.
But Minnie is still not doing too good, so gotta call the vet today. She seemed to be getting better, but she still isnt well and now over the weekend she has been drinking and eating way too much, which also isnt normal.


In case anybody who has pets missed it, on the news they said there was a big pet food recall for both dogs and cats. Many different foods, I need to google search to find the list of foods to make sure Minnie isnt eating that too. You may want to see if your pets foods are on the list too.

well on to get things happening around here this morning.
Gotta go out back and check the still. I wouldnt want it blowing up while we are at the Vets today.

Kathy: sorry Minnie isn't well...I just had to take our cat-Jetta to the vet today-she sits in her litter pan for 20 mins trying to pee and can't-they have kept her right now--she is way too MEAN for them to do anything to her unless they put her to sleep......the estimate they gave me...$473..

Cheri: wow you are my idol I wouldn't even be able to walk 1 K let alone 20K!! Still waiting for the Hershey info from my HR.

Luckily it seems she is just having a bad reaction to her shot. But the worst is over and she should start improving soon.
So good news foe her today.

all our flower bed stuff arrived today, so plenty of work to keep us busy for a few evenings here.

The name of the company is Menu Foods, but they make dog and cat food in cans and pouches under brands like Eukanuba, IAMS and many store brands like Wal-Mart. Update on Jetta ...they found that not only does she have a urinary tract infection but she had 4 rotten molars with gum inflammation....when the vet put her to sleep, she tried to clean the teeth and they fell out...all 4 of them!! Good news...no kidney stones!! Better news...ONLY...$382 not as originally quoted..... ...gotta love your pets and keep it well no matter what the cost!!

Good morning everyone,

Brandie, if you have a cam corder you should record her singing. Then when she is 16 and has a boy friend over, bring out the movie and show them I'll bet she would love to be able to look back when she was young and see herself. My kids loved it, although that was before cam corders. I have a few old reel movies of them that I need to have put on a CD.

Suppose to be nice today, close to 70 and 80's by the weekend.

Minnie is a little perkier today. Vet told us to give her cheerios to help her to feel full until she is over this because she wants to eat and drink constantly.
She really loves them. Of course she knows they are people food which makes it all the better. They wont pack the pounds on her like her dog food would. She is as big as she can get without being too heavy. 64 1/2 pounds.

Last night we were both up a lot last night, but today will be better.
