NO! NO! NO! We DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use the "S"-word on this board. It just isn't done!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Last year, the Midwest was hit with a blizzard when we were at Castaway Cay! It was funny until we got home and had to spend about 20 minutes clearing off the truck before leaving the airport.

For future reference, you need to use "S***" so we northerners don't have heart palpitations!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We came home from our January RCL cruise after an ice storm had hit Kansas city. Our truck was covered with an INCH thick of ice that we had to chip through at night in the freezing cold just so that we could start it and get it thawing....

That's the last I'm gonna say on the subject.

The ONLY good thing about last year was that Jessalyn only missed 4 days of school for the cruise instead of 5 due to the S*** day.

Seriously, I feel just a teeny bit bad for you and all the work involved with living in the S*** areas.

It snowed so heavy in Colorado last year (where my entire family has now moved to ... and where I LOVE to visit in the Winter!!), that while my parents were out visiting us and soaking up the heat ... :hippie:

... a tree fell thru their roof!! :scared1:

Personally, I live in the now infamous "Foothill Ranch / Rancho Santa Margarita" area. We are all just happy that our homes didn't burn down last month. We had flames literally in our backyard. The smoke is still in the air and it is so hot and dry ... UGH

Greener grass and all ...

:tinker: Karen

Here... let's all try and get it back in gear...

Well I was all excited I just got my VS package and guess what they forgot to ship me...my bathing suit. They sent me a workout jacket instead:eek: what am I going to do with that on the cruise.

Maybe they thought that should be your outfit for Orient Beach!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yeah... that's not real likely to happen where we live....

I got my somewhat conservative swimwear from Land's end. But it fits good and will be comfortable while I'm running after small children. It's kind of hard to "tug" while you're carrying a toddler:lmao:

I ordered a couple more suits last week because I decided I didn't have enough. Probably won't even wear them all.:rotfl:

Thanks Melanie!

My heart rate is returning to normal; my breathing steady. . .:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

They are really giving you a hard time today! I don't mind the "s***" so much - yet. It was only on the grass and trees and very pretty. Fear what is to come though - we do not like driving in it!

We love SoCal! You are in Orange County? Jeff's sister used to live there. We loved it! Did not want her to move - great place for vacations and visits! And yes, the fires were very scary.

The grass is always greener - we want to be there; you want to be here...

We all want to be on the Disney Cruise!!!! :banana:

Ohmigosh!! The Grass is Greener and all :sad2:

I would love to wake up to SNOW (that's the white stuff right?) :confused3

It was so hot in SoCal that I ran the airconditioner ALL DAY yesterday!! :headache:

UGH!! I have only heard of something as beautiful as freezing cold snow. :santa:

The main thing I am NOT happy with about the cruise is the possibility of more 80degrees days. I'll be the crazy lady hoping fo at least a little rain to lessen the humidity. :umbrella:

:tinker: Karen

Karen - you can have it. I made the mistake of moving back home (Pittsburgh) from So Cal after grad school. Love my hometown, but the older I get the less I like the weather.

Actually if the s*** would just stay on the grass and trees and stay off the roads, it wouldn't be so bad. If it could always hover around 32 degrees, that would be tolerable as well.

It's when we hit the weeks on end with temps topping out in the single digits that I hate.

We actually haven't had any of the white stuff here yet.:rolleyes1

It's been above average. Just a couple chilly mornings.

I'll be walking at noon today.

I'm canvassing the office for gaudy tiaras ...

Jeff -- I just had four pages in a row where I was top of the page!:cool1: :cool1:

Oh how the simplest things make us happy!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Glad you came out of it okay. Now that I hear that, you are absolutely forgiven for dreaming of S***. But I can tell you if you live through just winter here, you'd be dreaming of a green Christmas again! :rotfl:
