I think it is $1.00 for the washer and dryer and that they sell laundry detergent and dryer sheets for $1.00 in vending machines in the laundry room. Bring quarters - but I think they also have a change machine.

My answer to the QOD - The sailaway party (when you realize the fun is just beginning and the long wait for the cruise is over), the Christmas tree lighting, the shows in the theater, time together and hopefully some relaxing and memorable times!

Hi All ... first, we thank you for your kind wishes and pixie dust.

I'm sure there's been a few e-mails and PMs going around, but just to let you know, this morning I spoke with our vet and we are going to have to let Guido go this weekend. He has been having many troubles, and last week he had 5 seizures, including at least one Grand Maul this past Saturday. Today I made the appointment and burial arrangements, and he will be buried in the same cemetary with our Sammy, who we lost 2 years ago.

It's so weird ... his is the longest relationship I've ever had ... 16.5 years. He was born during the first Bush administration, lived thru Clinton and the second Bush administration! My gosh ... I was 25 when we met, had a mullet and no gray hair !

Sooooooooooooo .... all in all, we're doing OK really. We know it's time to quit being selfish and let him go. It will be a very tough Saturday for us.

dog put to sleep about 17 years ago and it was very

Shell and Bill-Cheri is right, words just aren't enough. That situation is exactly why I never owned a pet. Now that we have Nevada, I simply cannot imagine it. My heart truly goes out to you. I'm glad you were able to love him so long. I hope I'm still in your life 16 years from now. Just think, in 16 years we'll all still be here posting. Only we'll be able to get to Fla. in half the time, they'll have perfected sailing and there won't be any more seasickness, a cure for the common cold will have been discovered so no one will be sick, liquor will be so potent by then we'll only need one bottle for the group and MAYBE just MAYBE Okie will have her vision fully restored!!!!!!

So today I took Jacob to the neurologist. He has ordered an EEG and a MRI. They're going to sedate him for the MRI. Thankfully, I was able to schedule these for Christmas break. Hopefully, these tests won't show anything. The doctor said he may then do a sleep study on him. We'll see...............

Unfortunately, I won't be on much tomorrow either. I'm going to Richmond with Jacob's school. Well, Jacob will be there too Yay me, 10 hours with a 100 4th graders. Might be time to fall off that wagon

OK, just a few of us are up late. This is my time to catch up on work, e-mails, etc. I just finished signing up on-line for benefits - before I missed the corporate deadline at the end of this week - being preoccupied by cruise planning!

Perhaps I will be the first to answer the QOD - My favorite place to eat is Palo. The dinner maybe is best, though the brunch is really good too! I like all of the restaurants - nice to have the variety and the food is good everywhere. The kids like the soft serve ice cream on deck 9 and the chocolate chip cookies that seem to appear everywhere.

I love Palo's Brunch and soft serve ice cream and afternoon chicken fingers poolside ... YUM.

My all time favorite was the all-day deckside buffet crossing the Panama Canal. I ate at least 5 steaks that afternoon, and enough fresh corn-on-the-cob to sink a ship (okay bad mind picture!).

Just thinking of Palo's makes me smile.

It's 2:30 AM, took some codiene cough syrup and I am awake watching Wedding shows on TV, so thought I'd check for the QOD. Good one!
My favorite place to get something to eat is my verandah. At 7:00 each morning, Robin and I meet for coffee and croissant and plan the day, talk, etc. It is such a great ritual! Simple, special, it is really when I love the ship.

Off to try and sleep...
