Good mornin' Nanas!

A nice mild day so far!

I wrapped some Christmas presents yesterday! (I think they are hidden well enough so young eyes won't find them!)

Bill is staying home sick today -- nothing major, just a cough & headache.

Mina -- good to hear from you!!! I can't believe you only posted once last year??? Let's be sure you get into double digits before the cruise, huh?

Gotta go do something productive. . .

Did you get a chance to watch the finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm last night? We always watch it to "cleanse our palate" after Tell me You Love Me.

I wonder if we'll cancel HBO now that Curb is done for the season?

I left for - could it be one hour to get DD ready for school- and had three pages to catch up on - yikes.

Rick - Love your answer to the QOD. I have often had a fantasy of living in a small college town in the midwest (Iowa always comes to mind) and working as the PR guy at the college. Sort of like "Coach" but I'm the PR guy and I'm in Iowa instead of Minnesota. And the town is just as you describe it above.

You know, when I lived in Nebraska (up by Norfolk, Johnny Carson's hometown), people did wave and say "hi" whether they knew you or not. On my commute to work, I think every vehicle I met waved. Coming from the Chicago region, that friendliness was sure a breath of fresh air!!!!

I'm sure Melanie can attest to the friendliness of Iowa folk. . .

Well, I took Christian to school but came back with him! That makes both boys getting sick from Friday night. NO MORE! Skylar went to school said he felt better. But he was on the couch most of the afternoon feeling bad.

I'll be back a little later. Time to Lysol so I don't get it!

The Kingston Lawyer and The country Police

A lawyer runs a stop sign in Portland and gets pulled over by the Police.

He thinks that he is smarter than the police because he is a lawyer from Kingston and is certain that he has a better education than any Jamaican Police. He decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the Police expense.

The Police says," Yuh License an yuh registration, please."
"What for?" says the lawyer.
The Police says, "Yuh didn't come to a complete stop at de stop sign."
Then the lawyer says, "I slowed down, and no one was coming."
"Yuh neva did come to a complete stop, Says the Police. License an registration, please."
The lawyer says, "What's the difference?"
"De difference is dat yuh hav fe come to ah complete stop - dat's de law. License an registration, please!" the Police says.
Lawyer says,"If you can show me the legal difference between slow down and stop, I'll give you my license and registration; and you give me the ticket. If not, you let me go and don't give me the ticket." That sounds fair.
Get yuh rass outa de vehicle, sar, the Police says.
At this point, the Police drape up de man, pull out his batton and starts beating the ever-loving hell out of the lawyer and says,
"Yuh waan me fe stop, ar just slow down?"
