Its only because Lily is sharing a room with my mom that we will (hopefully) get to sleep that late...that, and the time change. But knowing Lily, she'll be banging on our door shouting, "Time to wake up!!".

Our flight leaves at 3:25 - we're going to attempt to go to Gator Land beforehand...

You are SO lucky!!! Built-in babysitter.

I brought my mom and DH's grandma on our last cruise thinking that, but it turned out that they were both actually MORE work. It was kinda like I had 3 kids to worry about instead of the one I had at the time. (My mom's an older grandma).

I'm really glad, though, that we brought DH's grandma. She was 85 at the time and it looks like that will have been her last vacation.

We currently have the late dinner seating...are we going to miss all the fun evening events? Should we switch to early seating?

Jen, we have late and are wait-listed for early. I will live with either way I guess. I have a feeling we'll be playing everything "by ear" with our little ones and may even end up at the buffet a couple of nights if we think the little ones won't cooperate. Frankly, after a few days of those extra long meals I have enough and just want to eat quickly and be done with it.

I know - we are just thrilled. This is my mom's first cruise, and she is so excited to be sharing a room with Lily - I think they are going to have a blast. Next year my husband's family is planning to do a big cruise, so hopefully we'll get to spend time with all the grandma's & great-grandma's - it will be so nice to have time with everyone w/o the added pressure of holiday preparations.

Geeze Ron, trying to eat lunch at my desk. Thanks for helping out with the diet. (j/k)

LOL.....I don't see the 70's night.....Ready Tanya?

Tanya, you guys have direct flights this year....LOL Looks like Willie Andrew and I are meeting up at WDW Thursday and Friday, Andrew is camping and Willie is at BC Villas.......

We have direct flights from dallas. We are getting in later on Friday. Then meeting up with a few old friends and getting ready to board the next day.

Nah -- stick with late. There are plenty of us who have that. Many of the "adult" activities begin around 10:00 or later.

Me...I prefer the "flow" of the day/evening with early seating better even though we are late-eaters at home...it just worked better with the kids when we did early (August cruise) than late (Nov. cruise).

Where R U staying Tanya? Trey ready for the "Jovies?"......

Jen, don't worry about the late seating. Its great, there is little time between the end of dinner and the beginning of the festivities. Our little one is usually gone by the time desert hits the table. Thank god for the kids activities. He usually is back to the room after us.

Trey is usually up for anything after a few guiness's. Cheri & Woo you promised to help me this year with the tab. Is that offer still good?

Ron: We are staying at the Radisson (hopefully) we haven't made ressies yet. You will have to say hi to Willie and Andrew for me.

Jen, the advantage of late seating is to go and get your pictures with the characters after the early seating has been seated. We went around 630 in July and were able to walk right up for family portraits. I will have to scan them in and post them. They turned out great. (I was a little sunburnt). Also, you don't have to rush around when you get back to the ship after being out in town. You can take your time. Just remember to order a snack when you get back to your cabin if your hungry.

I just can't wait.

Will do, We are probably staying at the swan or dolphin, Kim is talking about Thanksgiving dinner w/her parents, if so there are still late flights on friday, that makes us the raddison.....but I am leaning towards Thursday at WDW. Tenative flight at 7 a.m. from Indy.

I would agree with this! I always prefer late seating when cruising without kids! Sometimes it's a bummer to have to leave an afternoon activity early to get yourself all cleaned up for dinner. Only reason I'm waitlisted for early is because of the kids.

It's funny because we thought this would be a big problem for us on our first cruise (we not only had early seating but the first rotation at 5:30 p.m.) Never had a problem getting back - it was a western and our GC stop we had to be back onboard at 4; and the Cozumel stop we went to a beach early in the day so we ran out of steam by about 1 or 2..so it wasn't an issue. Now on the next cruise (the eastern) we had late seating but didn't even consider changing it becasue we thought we'd like it better based on our at-home lifestyle. I think what we found was that we were more likely to do the stuff in Studio Sea with the kids when we had early seating and with late...it just didn't fit in. We really enjoyed that time so that was why we booked early for this trip.

I plan on going to see if it can be changed to early boarding day and if it is great! If not... that's ok too. I don't know how much we'd be able to participate in studio sea because of Jackson. Most of the time he just wants to run around....

On our next cruise which we are going to book onboard (:rotfl: if I keep saying it, it will happen right)... Jackson will be over 3 and it will be a different story!
