Less than two months to go!!!

I am planning to do a countdown with the girls right after halloween...thinking about getting them a Christmas Countdown calendar with chocolates. Start them early on the sugar rush

Good morning everyone!
Just talked to the guy in Ireland who owns the house where we will be staying before the cruise and paid that off.... It is really getting close now that the FINAL PAYMENTS are paid!!!!!
I was hanging with the HOUSE premire last night so I missed the final men dancers... hoping someone steps up to the plate and sweeps me off my feet- at least mentally!
Not touching the "stiff Wayne Newton" lines this morning....
Robin and I have been so busy with kids and work we haven't had a planning happy hour this week and are feeling the pain... but the strep in the house is gone so things are looking up!
Off to pack lunches and get ready for the day...... check back later!!!!

Jaime, last year when we took Austin out, we sent a note way ahead of time so that they could send home his schoolwork during Thanksgiving break and we did it then.

That is a good idea. I was going to go with the "surprise attack" but Jacob talks about it all the time, so that probably won't work anyway

morning everyone,

well my watery eyes have finally cleared enough to read some posts and type a bit. No special plans around here today for me, just a quick trip to wal mart for a couple of things then back to relax.

After reading everyones posts I wonder if DCL is reading this thread too, you know they often read the dis boards. If they read ours they may ban all of us from the ship, sighting it is a family cruise

I am starting to get a cold...I guess it's my turn...everyone else in the house has had it!

Does anyone else get the flu shot? We didn't get it last year but we all get it every year ever since I caught it when flying 5 years ago. Just trying to decide if we should get it before we cruise...

Jaime, I'm getting a cold too. I live on Airborne when I start feeling it come on. I love that stuff ... do you have it in Canada? I never get a flu shot, but last year my doctor insisted that I get a pnemonia shot before the cruise, and honestly, I don't think I got sick all winter.

Michelle did you give Bradley's teacher a note last year when took him out for vacation? When should I let the school know she is going?

Jessalyn has already informed her teacher and she's demanding to come along with us!!!

Last year I filled out the form in October (I guess that's just right around the corner, so I better get on it.) and spoke with the teacher in person a couple weeks before we went. Of course, she was in kindergarten so it wasn't like she was missing all kinds of homework!

Good Morning all:

Sorry I have been absent. Soccer is keeping me jumping. But good news on the home front. The original contractor was asked to quit the job on the 21 after a 630 AM telephone call from me saying I was sick of living in the dinning room. Finally after 5 days of telephone calls the materials were delivered. Yahoo. I hired another handyman and gave him his keys last night. I hope to go home to a full wall. Now DH has decided he wants to tile and carpet the room. so it looks like sometime in November (before the cruise) I will live in my room. Actually don't think it will take that long. If I did it, ya maybe.

Anywho, been trying to keep up with all of your gabby people. Got the t-shirts yesterday and the people at Journeys at the mall thought they looked cool. And a teenager actually liked my mickey mouse purse. So it was a great day.
