Yes, I'll be bringing more turkey parts!! Wendy, you in for the crawfish?? Bring some live ones this year!

Seriously, I brought a cookbook (because we talked a lot about food & recipes last year!!!) and some apple-shaped gingerbread ornaments from the big apple orchard in Poplar Grove. The one that brings the suburbanites and urbanites out to the country!!!

I received a little Florida sandglobe and a cute little Santa ornament.

As you can see, many of us went with something from our area and/or a Christmas ornament related to our area.

Kathy -- Jan is from Michigan!! I know you are memory-challenged!!!

I don't know if my IQ goes up, but whenever I drink tequila, I'm convinced I can speak fluid Spanish

Tonya-I'm well know for my need for therapy appointments (I just make them I don't actually go...) but do I need to start making some for my DS too? Poor little guy is going to start having rejection issues

Glad to hear we will be having some "unofficial" meets, not sure exactly how that differs from the "official" meets, but as long as we're having cocktails....I don't really care.

Kathy/Dawn-Thanks for the heads up on the handicap area. My mom doesn't have a disability card although I keep telling her she needs to look into it. Every year we go, she's a little bit slower (poor mommy). My DH and I would be more than happy to push her, so I'm definitely going to discuss it with her.

Kathy-I can't believe I forgot to tell you this.......last night my mom calls (she lives down the street) and she says, "hey I'm coming by in a minute, meet me outside I have something for you", so sure enough in a minute or two she pulls up and I run out to the car and guess what's in the passenger seat? Hey hey hey. Don't pick on my poor pitt panthers. I'm more of a basketball fan but i just wish one year the football team could surprise us. When I was in college (in the dark ages) Pitt was one of the top teams in the country all four years and had just won an NC. Times have changed GREATLY.

Hope everyone is having a great day. I just finished up my dinner with the client here in the Chicago burbs and am now going to go to the bar for a cocktail then off to sleep since I have an early flight tomorrow.

Can't wait to see the house. We are having the entire interior painted - finally using some color in our formerly beige house. So far it's looking great.

Can't think of what we'll bring for the regional gift this year. Last year's Terrible Towel was kind of an afterthought when we couldn't come up with anything more creative. Gonna have to scour the malls when I get back.

Birthday weekend officially kicks off tomorrow with Elizabeth's sleepover. Then Mina's birthday on Saturday and Elizabeth's birthday celebration (at home) on Sunday...and her official birthday on Monday. Does that mean she jumps right from 8 to 11? So it's going to be busy busy busy.
