Well, off to work for me today. I'm glad to hear that Florida schools have started back. We are booked for Sept. 5th-9th :woohoo: This is my absolute favorite time of the year to go. We always went during the first week of school until Jacob got into the second grade. Last year we didn't because he had started a new school, but this year I said "Let's do it"

How do teachers feel about that? I'm sure SOMEONE on the board has an opinion:rolleyes1

Anyhoo, one year we took a picture (I'll look for it) from the Tommorowland Transit Authority down onto the walkway and it was EMPTY!!!!!!! It was so great. Can't wait. This year we're going to go to one night of The Night of Joy if we can still get tickets.

Have a great day everyone............

Kim ... THANK YOU THANK YOU for you Full Frontal Nanity! :lmao: That truly made me laugh big time! Bill has a recipe, too, and he was supposed to post it last night, but I see that if Mommy isn't standing over him making him do something, it just doesn't get done, does it? :rolleyes1 Anyhoo, I'll make sure he posts it today as a rival to yours!

Ugh, you guys talk about school ... you know that's really the end of summer. Course it also means we're that much closer to the cruise! :woohoo:

Lots of work to catch up on (not in the mood to do it, mind you, but at least I recognize that it's all here).

We got Jackson's passport yesterday!! :cool1: (I didn't see the mail until today.)

We applied the first week in July. So it was only about 6 weeks!!!

I'm shocked! I expected a much longer wait from everything I had been reading.

What a relief! One less thing to worry about!

Wow...I hope our luck is the same as yours....we ordered all of ours July 9th..I wonder if It makes any difference because he is a little boy??

Raining here in PA...a cool 61.

Ordered Joshua's senior pictures....ready for this...$357.75:scared1: ....ok, ok, he is SO handsome that I ordered a ton of pictures (yes proud mommy)--chose 3 poses out of the 14 poses they took:rolleyes1

School doesn't start here until Sept. 4th :teacher:

gone shopping for food....have a good one.

Okie- My DH is a professional photographer. Don't worry this is normal to spend that much. Some people around here spend much much more. ($1200) Now if they'd only start spending that much with US!!!:thumbsup2 We could afford lots more cruises!

Josh-

Don't forget on Friday we'll be down to 3 months. It's your responsibility to post the celebratory post!! Don't let us down!

(Didn't that last month go by fast!!!):yay:

Who's everyone using for transportation to/from the airport? I'm trying to book our stuff and was online last night trying to decide what to do.

Only 3 months!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I have cheerleading then straight to open house!!:goodvibes

I LOVE the fence! Its just like being at Margaritaville- only better:lmao:

I didn't know everyone would take my mom seriously and start making their on drinks:rotfl2: :rotfl2: great job!!

I hope the shuttle makes it down OK...Good Luck:thumbsup2

I'm lucky if I get to have a drink once and a while much less CREATE one.:rotfl2:

I had a margarita last friday night and it about put me under the table.
Not really.... The bar by where I work makes 'em extra strong.

hey fellow bananaheads
Now it's time to concentrate on the cruise. woo hoo. We had our best ever DisneyWorld vacation. We had an overall fantastic time, did more than we planned on but had fun doing it. The kids were a dream. Seeing Pat, Steve, Stephen, Esther, Stacey, Cullen and Laura was a definite highlight on a great day at the MK. I followed TourGuide Mike's advice on touring for this week and he was right on about which park to be in when every time. I'll definitely use it again. Watched the premier of HSM II on the beach at the Yacht/Beach Club and roasted marshmellows there another night. We actually had not one, but TWO "magical experiences" as part of the year of a million dreams. They were both small gestures but were incredibly meaningful and fun and reminded me so much of why we love Disney. I'll post more details later as we are on the way to the airport. Our only negative was a rough beginning with the Yacht Club not knowing which of their rooms still stank of smoke and which didn't but after moving up the management ladder and changing rooms, they finally figured it out. I think I'm sending my first-ever note to guest relations about that one.

We had a rough trip (kids not behaving, very crowded and not great service all around) in May so we were a little nervous this time around. but overall we had so much magic happen and the CMs were incredibly pleasant and attentive and fun. Just a great great trip.

Now it's on the cruising!!!!

Jeff so glad to hear you had a great time this time:thumbsup2 I was hoping you would.

here is my photo of the day. For those who are new this is from last years cruise . This door sign just appeared magically on all our doors. I think it had mutt teeth marks on the edges and some drooling on the corner.
Can you guess who made them??

sorry it's blurry but you still get the idea.

Jeff-
You're my hero. You are the kid traveling guru!
When I grow up I'm going to travel with kids as frequently as you do!:thumbsup2

Glad you had a good time!
Melanie

I take any and all challenges VERY seriously, especially those involving alcohol.

Jeff-Glad you had a good time. Looking forward to our quickie trip myself. Gonna check Ron Jon while we're there and the Disney Outlet. DS loves to trade pins and I like to get them when they're $2.99:thumbsup2

Kathy-Those door signs are cool. I've been thinking about ours but so far I'm clueless.

Well, the Nanas now have official drinks...they look great! TEN THOUSAND BANANAS TO YOU!!!

Now, we need an offical dance...this can be demonstrated only on the ship and should have an appropriate name like "The Naked Nana" or "Walk the Plank." With Kim's super, fantastic, unbelievable bartending ability and Woo and Bill's painting, I know that this group will shine on the dance floor, Deck 9or wherever we feel like bustin' a move.

I love to dance down the hallways, myself.  My DH MERELY tolerates me...he's so happy that Judy fulfills all Dis planning duties. He just sits back and laughs...very quietly.

Back to work (middle school)...I would smear bananas over any principal/teacher who frowned on a Disney pullout. I tell my parents that, while an unexcused adventure, if they have good kids who don't miss regularly, I hope they have a wonderful time with Mickey!:cool1:

Judy will pipe in later about her students' Dis "assignments.":teacher:

That reminds me Kathy, Who took those away? We lost ours near the end of the cruise? Or did Bill (sorry, I gave it away) relinquish them?

Sarah, is Endevour due to land today? I missed 3 EVA's, the launch, and the ISS! WHY??????
Okay, I'll still be on for a little while longer, but I'm off to do other things.

- Josh

:dancer: :dancer: I'm so in for the dancing idea!:dancer: :dancer:
I love to dance!!

Does anyone have any cool ideas for drinks for kids?:rolleyes1

I dont think the shuttle is coming down today but they are going to try to bring it down soon because of the hurricane!

It wasn't me, Josh....those were sort of party favors for everyone. I still have the design---remind me closer to the time and I'll print you up a new one....not a problem.
