Hi all,
well I just send a letter to Carnival about all the bad things we enountered.
Not out opinons but the rudness and theft of candy and disorganization of them. It was almost as long as my cruise report:rotfl2:
I did tell them the good things too about 3/4 of the way through the letter. That was a very short paragraph.

well time to repax I am tired of typing for now,

Kathy

QUOTE :"Where do you guys recommed we try lunch on Saturday after the cruise? We are planning on spending most of the day in Epcot"

Our favorite table restaurant in EPCOT is Teppan Ero (new name for Teppanaki) in Japan. In August, we'll eat there twice...once each week!

It is beautiful in Michigan today. About 75 degrees, nice breeze and blue skies, but we never did get really any rain. It rained about 5 minutes tops. Holly, it looked like you guys got a pretty fair amount.

Dawn
Hi Dawn! :goodvibes Rain was predicted for us (storms even) today, yesterday, and the day before, but no rain ever came. Tuesday evening there was a bit of thunder as a storm passed a bit North of us, but not a drop of rain here. I'm thrilled because it means I haven't had to mow in a while! :woohoo: No rain, no grow! :yay: But we had the same beautiful weather today, yesterday and Tuesday. It's nice to give the a/c a break at home, have all the windows open, and fall asleep to fresh air blowing through the windows. :cloud9:

We had 5 rain drops yesterday:confused3 Hey in the desert that's a full on rain storm. Actually it only counts if it rains at the airport. I think it has been about 3 months since we have seen any real rain. That's why I have rocks instead of grass in my yard:) It did cool down a little, it's been around 111 the past week much better than 121. Our lows haven't been below 90 for the past 2 weeks.

Thanks for your suggestions, I have been looking at menus and I think we are going to eat at Le Collier (sp?) in Epcot. My DH and I are very picky eaters and that seemed to be the best menu for us.

Have a good night everyone.

PS: Our place still isn't open:mad:

By the way Dawn, Tyler and I have been in Kzoo so much this summer, and will continue to be, so we should have our own little mini-meet sometime! :goodvibes

Well.....there's one advantage to living in the desert -- no mowing! Lucky you!

By the way, I love your weight loss ticker too! Good job! Keep up the hard work! I should get a ticker too......15 pounds down (since February), 55 to go. It's the first time I've been able to lose weight after having my son. Horrible what pregnancy does to metabolism, isn't it? :scared1:

Hi - just wondering if anyone has already booked their flights to arrive the night before - and where they're staying,.. ?

If you stay at the Hyatt at the airport, do you get to roam around Orlando a bit, i.e. is there a shuttle into 'town'...?? I'm so blurrrrrrr

Aloha Again people.

Just back from our first visit to the Hula Grill :beach: and a grilled ahi sandwich accompanied by a Mai Tai (sorry Christine). :drinking1 It WAS the best Mai Tai I ever had.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Surfing lessons for Lizzie and I tomorrow.

:cool1:

Sue - we stayed at the Hyatt last year and didn't really check to see if there was any kind of shuttle. We actually just roamed around the airport - ate dinner, went to the gameroom, shopped a bit. Let me know if you find anything out about a shuttle to say, Downtown Disney. That'd be fun!

morning everyone,
well most of my day will be spent playing Monopoly with my grandson. That games takes forever , but we are setting a time limit on it and if nobody has won by then we will just cash out our stuff and who ever has the most $$$ will be the winner.

Of course it will be HOT agan today.

Wendy have a great trip!!!
Someday we will be going to Hershey too if all works out.

well off to finish breakfast before Andy gets up and we start playing.

Kathy

At least Vegas is suppose to be hot, Michigan is finally getting a reprieve. We haven't had rain all summer and its been in the 90s every day also! We usually only get two or three 90 degree days all summer! Try to stay cool! ;)

Holly, YES stop over and bring the suit. We would love it! PM me when you can, we're home everyday.

Kathy or anyone, after your report of the Carnival cruise it had me thinking...here's a question for you. Most of the other cruise ships have lots of stairs. For those that don't know I use a wheelchair to get around. I don't last very long without it. The CMs say the Magic is very handicap assessible. What does that mean to you? Easy to get around the boat? I usually bring my electric one with me otherwise I have to rely on someone to push me especially through carpet. It doesn't fold. Thanks for any advice.

Have a great day everyone. We are off to the orthodontis for both boys!
Dawn

Dawn,
I have 3 friends who cruise Disney in wheel chairs and one has a special made larger chair and they all say it is easy to navigate.
Just remember if you want to go up ondeck 10 use the aft elevators because they will let you out at Palos and the door there has a small ramp to go onto the deck.

All of them book the handicap rooms and they have said the bathrooms and layout of furnture is great for them.

The carpet is not a deep one anywhere on the ship so it is very easy to get through.

deck 4 has a power door on both sides of the ship to allow easy access. i believe they are forward by the WD theater.

Dining rooms are no problem. If they want to transfer to a chair the waiter will remove the wheel chair until you need it again or they will remove a chair for you where ever you want to sit at your table.

At the back of both theaters are wheel chair seats for you and your family to use and you can arrive 30 minutes early and a CM will assist you if needed.

Getting on and off the ship was no problem for them either, but they are limited to excursions. most will not accommodate wheel chairs.

If you want PM me and I will give you a e-mail address of one friend who just got back off the Wonder and she can answer your quesions from her own experiences. I am sure she would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Her chair is extra large and doesnt fold up either. It is tall with headrest and foot rests.

hope this will help you some,

Kathy

I've been trying to decide what to do with that too. I'd like to hit Downtown Disney the night before the cruise. But.. not sure if it would just be better to head straight to the port when we get there.

We leave for home right afterwards so there will be no time then.

Thanks for the invite Dawn! I'll definitely hold you to it! Tyler gets along with older kids, so he'll love meeting your boys. :goodvibes I'll be sure to PM you next time we're headed to Kzoo. Might be a few weeks though because final exams are coming up quickly for me. I tend to "conveniently" forget about that!

Melanie, Sue & Jeff ... I'll bet if you call the Hyatt they'll direct you to some sort of information about shuttles to MK.

Wow....a light day of posts! Kathy, everyone seems to realize that all of your rage is pointed towards Carnival and not us! Slackers! Slackers!
They're gonna think you went soft, geez!

Hope everyones having a good Friday...its been a long week for me and I'm looking forward to a nice weekend!
