Oh -- a couple other notes:

From what I hear, those N'Awlins pictures may not be fit for the DIS!

Also -- the PGFour may actually be Four this year -- we've checked into pricing to bring DSS Cal along with us this year. I won't even depress myself by thinking of how much it would've been if we'd booked him up front. Of course, this is all in the planning stages since it ultimately depends on his school/sports schedule. It would sure be great to have him come along!! We'll see what happens!

Hey Holly-
I just realized that I posted with you when you were doing your Carnival comparison report. I remembered you saying that you weren't impressed with kid's areas compared to Disney.

I remember you met a guy on that cruise. How did that go?

That's where I recognize your screen name from! It was driving me nuts, trying to figure out where I've seen you!

Yup, the kids' area was basically a small room with toddler toys in it and there was NO kids pool, other than a foot deep one maybe the size of 2 bathtubs put together. Definitely can't actually swim in it. But the teens had a great club. I've never seen The Stack on DCL, so I'm not sure how they compare, but I did see a couple 13-ish aged girls in the elevator telling their mom there's no way they want to stay on the ship at the next port because there's nothing to do onboard.

The guy I met was Mike. VERY cute, 10 years younger than me. But I never heard from him. Probably because I wouldn't "get physical" with him onboard! He tried a couple times until I finally got it through his head that it wasn't going to happen!

We live outside of Council Bluffs, but right now I'm sitting in Omaha. I work in Omaha every day.
I've traveled Iowa a lot, I think I know all the exits too. What's worse is traveling across Nebraska! We are going to do that at the end of July as we are taking a camping trip to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons! Wish me luck.

Yup, I'm sure glad I didn't! But I wouldn't anyway because I know many people have just that specific purpose on cruises.

Have a blast in Yellowstone/Grand Tetons! I lived there for a few months back in 1991. I worked (and lived at) Signal Mountain Lodge in Moran, which is just South of Yellowstone's South gate and North of Jackson. I think about my time there almost every day still and eventually want to retire there. In fact, my plan was to move there after law school, but now that I have a son, I'd never take him away from his dad. He deserves to live in the same city as both parents while he's a kid. But someday I'll be moving there!

By the way, very cool about your family being from Michigan. Small world!

I am another new addition to this group as well. They seem like nice enough folks, very close from cruising together so often. They sure do travel quite a bit (I am just jealous, I have to wait) and I noticed there seems to be something fishy about this recent N'Awlins trip?? Whats wrong with those pictures anyway, or don't we want to know? Truly, a great group and I cannot wait to meet everyone. I will be interesting actually knowing some people on the ship

The pictures are fine, it;s the ones they arnt posting that may be interesting Once you get to know Shell and Bill better you will understand. They are a riot!! In the good sense and so are Wendy and Mike, so when they all get together is can be big time trouble

Have a great trip! I know what you mean about driving across Nebraska! I think the drive just from Omaha to Lincoln takes forever, let alone the drive across the entire state!!

I went to college in Fremont, NE (Midland College) and lived in Omaha for a year; I also taught for a year up in Norfolk -- Johnny Carson's home town!! Lots of my college friends still live in Omaha so I make it there every couple of years. I really like the zoo!

Holly, that would be a shark attack drink that Shell and I became quite fond of, not to mention our boytoy bartender JP (not PJ Shell)
They fill the body part of the shark with grenadine and pour it in your drink over a plastic alligator so your drink looks all bloody. Trust me after one of these its VERY entertaining to see.

Loved all the photos !!

Some how after seeing how the guys got their beads, I think I will skip New Orleans for a few years.

Love the idea of the shark drinks, we need those on our beaches because we are always having some one getting bitten by a shark here. I think they would be a big hit here.

Glad you all had a great time and even managed to find your way back home.

We just went to the Omaha zoo on Sunday. We have annual passes. The boys loved it.

Hey, thanks for the tip on Southwest airlines, I got online and got a great deal on our tickets for the cruise. Under $500 for all of us, non-stop, round trip. I'm happy with that! I've been waiting for our dates to open up!!!
