well the smoke has left temporarily left for the morning and the sun is out really nice. Going to be another hot one today with some nastly thunderstorms predicted for late afternoon The lightning will probably start more brush fires which we dont need

Got a new printer today and Greg got a laptop for work too. So it was an expensive weekend for us, especially when we add in the curtains we bought yesterday.

Well I only have 2 quick errands this morning, then I am in for the day.
Suppose to have a break in the heat today. Only 77, but tomarrow is back to the upper 80's again.

Any Spiderman fans here?? Peter went to see the movie and said it was the best one yet. I noticed it set all kinds of records for money this weekend.
We will probably see it in a couple of weeks.

well I am off to the Post office.

Boy what a dead day for this thread
I hope everyone was out having fun so they have a good excuse for not posting!!

I had a great excuse for not posting yesterday> I cleaned out the garage. It took me 9 - that's right NINE hours. When we added onto our house last summer, the builder used the garage as his storage area and they had to do a bit of work in there too to access some vents. They left such a mess of drywall dust and who knows what else, that when I cleared things off of shelves, I had to clean everything, then reorganize it on the driveway, clean the garage and replace everything. Sore doesn't even describe how I felt last night. Better today though.

Busy week at work. I'm working on an exhibit of Dale Chihuly's work being placed in a garden setting (Phipps Conservatory here in Pittsburgh) that is just absolutely incredible. Big press event on Wed and lots of follow up over the course of the next few weeks.

Just checking in to say hello to everyone! Kathy, my husband and I went to see SpiderMan 3 in IMAX and it was FANTASTIC! What cool special effects.

We need to do some getting ready for our cruise! We haven't booked airfare yet, but I think we will fly in on Friday and use the Town Car service to drive us to Port Canaveral. I think we are going to try to stay in Cocoa Beach. Listening to what you all said about flying home the day back from cruising, I think we are probably going to fly back on a 1:15 flight. Hopefully all this will be finalized by this week!

Jeff, Alyssa got Elizabeth's email and will definitely be writing back. Like you said, I am trying to pace her since we still have six months plus until the cruise!

Dreary day here in Minnesota. Hope you all are seeing the sun in your corner of the woods.

curtains were before, laptop was after.
But I had my own money for the scrapbooking supplies. I spent $235.00!!
But I got 2 totes and punches,scissors, photo corner cutters,paper,several stencils, stickers and pens. The biggest expense was the totes, but I had stuff in bags all over the house I had to do something or at least that was my excuse

Everywhere i go now I automatically look to see if they have anything I can use for scrapbooking?? When I read a magazine I am looking at layouts of the pictures instead of just enjoying the photos.

It's all Linda's fault, she got me thinking about this a few months ago when she posted a couple of her pages.

Guess after 9 hours of cleaning I will forgive you for not posting, but let's not make a habit of doing those kind of projects.

I think seeing Spiderman on an IMAX screen would be great!!
There are several movies I would love to see on IMAX.

We are sooooo windy today! I about blew away just going out ot the mail box today. But at least I am not roasting!!

Now we have a nasty brush fire in our county, luckily it is on the border and far away from our house. You still get a whif of smoke now and then. They are evacuating hundreds of families as I write. I hope they can save the homes, but they dont seem to hopeful.

well off to do the dishes. Had a nice meat loaf dinner with mashed taters and gravy, peas and the last of the cherry pie for dessert.

well we are smokey again from local brush fires. It really smells bad outside.
I plan on being home all day today accept for taking Minnie ofr her walk this morning.
My daughter send me a jigsaw puzzle of Captain Jack Sarrow. It is a photo mosiac one, kind of like what Bob is doing with out photos.
I have done Disney characters that are made this way, they are really neat.

Morning all....seeing as how WE ARE sailing I'd better get posting.....BEAUTIFUL 80's here in Northwest Indiana today! Almost have ALL the "honey dooos" done and ready for the summer......the boat is in the water, pier is in, golf cart is clean and charged and the vette is out of storage!

Hi everyone,
well we are still filled with smoke outside.
Nasty stuff, even the dog is sneezing and has a runny nose,

Greg just called and someone rear ended him, so he will be about an hour late tonight. Nobody hurt, just a teen driving and not paying attention that cars were stopped at a red light.
Luckily Greg only has some fender damage. The other guy has insurance,so that is good. I think Greg has only had this car about 6 weeks?? At least now he doesn't have to dread that first scratch on a new car

I am glad we arnt heading out at the port today. They have huge waves there due to a freak storm out to sea and it is really rough. News said, just a little ways from shore was 25 foot waves and very strong wind!!
I love being bounced around, but i know it does make others sick, so I always hope for smooth sailing.
well off to make crispy baked chicken strips with spicy baked curly fries and a vegetable for dinner.

Hope people start posting tonight, it is way too quiet around here today.
