I didn't know the bacon was different :confused3...I'm sure I had it on our vacations...The biggest food difference I noticed is that your ice tea does not have sugar in it...and dh has trouble finding vingar...but he has trouble with that in other parts of Canada too.

Never had tea with vinager... But I usually drink my hot tea black. I'll never be caught DEAD with a NSA iced tea. :rotfl:

I'm with Jeff on this one, Judy....raise a glass...we're all in it together--better, worse or anything in between. I didn't think a bunch of strangers who have never met could form a bond so quickly. 06 proved me wrong...07 will too.

ok...now that the blasted tv is mine again, time to go catch up on my Ken Burns-The War...awesome series.

Yeah, that was me who posted that! I can be serious....its true...no, SERIOUSLY...gimme a break. Just for that EVERY one of you gets a mutt hug on the 24th...some get extra special-type hugs (specially Trey...:rolleyes1 )woo woo.

As for other teachers and principals... I tell them this- a little over 5 years ago I planned a disney cruise with my husband and two kids. We had a fabulous time and the kids were in paradise. Four months later my husband was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and 10 days after that he died from a botched operation. What could your teacher POSSIBLY have said and done to replace that family time? Unfortunately it was true for me but feel free to adapt it, quote it, or whatever if a teacher or administrator ever gives you SH#T!
Enough of that... you can tell I have had a drink!:rolleyes1
Ok, enough rambling.... love ya all.....we will have a drink to the Disneyholic that was my fabulous husband when I see you for real!

 Judy thank you for sharing with us...any guilt I felt this morning about taking my dd out of school is now gone. We'll definitely have to have a drink.

:rotfl: No Josh...I've never had tea with vingar either. We drink ice tea with sugar...we put vingar on fries...I also prefer hot black tea but with lemon.

Good Morning all!

Kathy how are you feeling? Your picture does look yummy.

No plans for us this weekend...just going to do the normal running around bringing the girls to dance and swimming. We really need to clean out our garage and basement though...

Someone else just posted that they are a group 20 going on our cruise... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1594394 I gave them our link.

Good evening to all,
I am sitting here sipping my homemade margarita and dreaming of KonTiki fries on St. Marteen beaches....
I really have to weigh in on the "getting out of school for a family trip" discussion. First of all, as a teacher, if I have the kids 180 days and can't miss 5 or the kid will suffer, I should be fired! I have had kids go to Disney or like today, I had a student leave for Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Homework is usually tied to a ride- add the floors in Tower of Terror, divide by3, ect. What was your score on Buzz... you get the idea. I tell the parents I will meet with the student upon return to share whatever pearls of wisdom I feel they missed.

Bless your heart:grouphug:

Here's a question: Which Disney princess do you think had the best prince?

Ariel -- Prince Eric is by far the hottest cartoon prince EVER!!!!!:thumbsup2

However, Belle lucked out, too. (B & B is my favorite Disney movie -- and right up there on the all-time list). I think Beast almost looked better before he became human again. They could've upped his human-hotness-factor a bit. . .

WOOHOO!!! ONE HOUR OFFICE TONIGHT!!

Will Jim & Pam finally go out on their date?

Well, what did you think????

I think they had overreach to get a 60 minute episode. There weren't as many laugh out loud moments as there should have been.

Bill, Michael Scott showed exactly what you DON'T do before a race!!!:rotfl2:

Overall, good to see everyone is still out of control!:happytv:

if I had read that before I got to work; I would have added a little Bailey's to my coffee and toasted him this morning..........tonight, with Malibu!!!!!!!!!

some get extra special-type hugs

Watched Kid Nation, Private Practice and GA last night. Private Practice has a long way to go...............I don't like the actress that replaced the first Naomi:confused3 You mean to tell me with all the hot guys in California that surf, that was the best "receptionist" they could come up with? You know what would make that show great? JEFF GOLDBLUM:rotfl2:

Good for you Judy for telling it like it is. That is so true. Yes, school is important but so is the time you spend as a family. A lesson we should all learn. I look forward to meeting you.

Well... it had it's moments, probably not the best episode I've seen.
Glad it's back tho and looking forward to more!!

:grouphug: A family that plays together stays together. Judy, I had a similar situation but lost my son and mother within a month of each other...it's those memories that keep you going.

Kathy, Hope those nights keep getting better. That buffet looks deeelicious. And Kathy you are not the only "old" person on this cruise...though you are only as old as you feel. Well, most of the time! Personally, I always thought George Clooney was rather handsome.

This weekend is my granddaughter's first birthday. They are having a family get together for both sides on Sunday at 3. My father and friend are coming to spend the night Saturday to go to it. I imagine that they will be heading back to Florida for the winter after that. But, of course, we have soccer at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. It's suppose to dip to the 30s tonight so the grass will be nice and wet.

I went this morning and picked up the rest of the seabands and bonine. I couldn't find the SeaSafe. Any ideas? They didn't have the ginger pills so I'll guess I will have to stop at a nutrition store. I know there is one in the mall.

Have a great day everyone! Dawn
