I have tracked AKV Christmas Tree #2 since I shipped it 2 days ago and although I shipped it FEDEX GROUND, it was delivered today!!

So we are all set and I hope everyone enjoys the tree as much as we enjoyed preparing it

I dont have any photos as i was under the gun to get it shipped in time for our first family, but for those families on the AKV #2 tree list, please pm me if you need details.

I also want to say a big THANK YOU to wdwstar for organizing this again. I just had 1 tree to put together so I cant imagine tracking all the trees and providing all the great support. 5 Years is a long time so congratulations wdwstar, a true Disney Princess

Thanks for Donating this tree. I am very excited about it. This is our first DVC stay and tree swap. I am keeping it a surprise for my husband. Looks like you will be recieving it back from me when you arrive. Maybe we will see you there. We will be ther until the 26th.

According to FedEx, BCV Tree#2 arrived Yesterday I cant wait to get it on Wednesday

I sent down 3 trees for fellow DISers to enjoy this year, even though we had no plans to go down in December... I have the trees, why not send them you know??

Then I saw a picture of the castle all done up, and some good friends of mine we taking a secret trip down next month add in $49 fares on SWA and availiblity at OKW 14 days out...

WE ARE HEADING TO WDW IN TWO WEEKS!!!

Funny part... one of my trees availble durning the time we are down there!!!

I thought about PMing the people who have it, and seeing if they could add my name to it, but with such a short trip planned (getting in late Friday night, leaving early Monday. US/IOA and MVMCP) we wont be around enough to enjoy it.

So YAY!!! I miss out on my tree, but I get to see the castle lights!

There should be an evelope included with each tree for everyone to include money to send the tree back to the owner. Just because your last, doesnt mean your paying the total bill to return it.

Hopefully the donations are enough that the tree owner is able to cover their expenses too.

Ok I shouldn't say this.. but the first time we went down at Christmas and had the tree, we never set it up. There 7 nights and just the thought to putting it up, taking it down, leaving it a bell services just didnt seem worth it (mind you at the time my kids were 5,3 and 1 ) This coming trip we are there such a short time with so much planned it really would not be worth it... BUT in two years when we go back for a whole week at Christmas FOR SURE!!! Kids will be way more independant, so mama's life will be a bit less hectic on trips.

I too booked SW for our end of jan. trip for $49 each way, i had booked it for $76 and when SW lowered the rate last week, i rebooked my flights and now we have a credit with SW for Easter! Now, im hoping for reasonable rates for Easter

Just wanted to pop in and say what a GREAT idea....sounds like you all are a great bunch of people...this is what DVC and Disney is all about!!

Wish I had found this thread...ummmm....3 months ago! We are heading down on the 26th for our first Christmas DVC stay.....maybe we will be back again next year for a Christmas stay, and I can join and help out!

Just home from our trip (a day late due to the storms in Chicago) and we were lucky enough to have OKW tree #2. Thanks Donna! It was beautiful, wonderful and a great addition to our villa.

Will post pics tomorrow.

Just found this thread as well. We'll be spending our first Christmas in WDW at the AKVL. Sorry we missed the final date to get on the list, but maybe another time.
