DisneyPoor-
I responded to you via PM (its long sorry). I would make ther reservations and then cancel if you get there and do not want to do it. But you never know if the weather is going to be swimming weather in November so I would make those ressies as a back up plan. It will take you more than an hour to get there if your plane lands at 11:00am at OIA. You too will be passing by my place as you go to WL so we shall wave at the DME bus. :rotfl2:

:cheer2: Welcome Aboard!!! It is always good to save $$$ and jump onto a sailing that is not as crowded. We just booked last week, but this is our 3rd Thanksgiving sailing. Last year we did Halloween, but we decided we wanted to go back to the Turkey fun.

If you want to do the FE let me know. Iwas told it was too late to get on the official list, but there are 5 cabins that cannot get on the list that still want to "paly." I was in the process of converting the official list over for them since we are still brinigng ours. So let me know and I will add your room info to the "unofficial list" I am making for those folks. Some of them had already bought stuff so they are planning to go around anyway. (Not trying to offend anyone by making another list.....I am just putting it into a different format organized by deck to make their deliveries easier and to add the staterooms that are not on the official list)

Also I know of another DISfamily that is hoping to get on this sailing and I know they will do the FE as they have stuff left over from that last sailing and their son loves to make deliveries too. If there is a FL resident rate because they have sailed twice this year, but they have been on every Turkeyday sailing since 2004. They did not book this one because at the time they were booking it as the two mexico's itinerary. So if they release a rate in the next few days they will join.

Our group has two 4 year old girls so we have some "friends" for your son in the club. :lovestruc

I can add an unofficial list to the website. The reason we closed it was that some were making personalized gifts and buying specific gifts. I'm sure that several will have extras. Just let me know cabin numbers and number of people (adults and children) and I'll make an unofficial list too. :)

The Steelers are winning 17-14, now!!!:cool1:

Lora - Tell DH We're gittin' em!!! And the Penguins are in Sweden. "It's a great day for Hockey". "Buy Sam a beer and get his dog one too."

It's 20-14 now! I can't believe how good we look! And without my "Fast Willie" too! But Davenport is back and that's a good thing.:woohoo: :woohoo: :cheer2: (Still miss Cowher.)

Tomorrow when we all wake up it will be another day closer.............46 days !!:dance3:

My DD loves the teen program and is very social. She had already met some of the Christmas cruising teens via text message, but now has to start all over again with the Thanksgiving group. But hey, it saved us BIG $$

Maybe I can talk her into emailing with your DD. I will talk with her about it. She actually hasn't spent much time on the computer since we moved a couple months ago. She is a senior now and quite busy.

Stillers won!!

It's going to be 70 degrees here today - Thanks Ken for sending us the Disney Magic!:wizard:

Linda and I are meeting this afternoon at the "What Will You Celebrate?" road tour. I'll let you know where I'll be staying when I win the trip to WDW. Most likely in the castle.princess:
They're making short little videos and posting them on the WDW website. I'll try to get in one and tell them I am celebrating all of my new DIS friends! Watch for me. I'm the one with the new too short haircut that stands straight up. I look like a pot scrubber.:scared1:

Have a great day everyone! :flower3: I'll check back in from work throughout the day.:surfweb:

Ken -
Is your new clock the propeller like the ones in the staterooms?

DUH . . . Now why couldn't I figure that one out.

Speaking of Ebay, I just scored a Castaway Club Clock for $20. Its the one they give a way as a prize at the Castaway Club party onboard.

This is our first cruise as CC members. What do they do for us? Lovely parting gifts? Free drinks? A party just for us? party: :dancer: :rockband:

They have a private party for CC members. The Captain and crew are all there. He usually gives a little speach and some insight as to whats up and coming at DCL. The play a scavanger hunt type game where they have you go around and talk with different crew members to answer questions. I remember a bunch of deserts spread out but I cant remember if they had free drinks. If so it was free drink (no s).

No, its more like a pewter plaque with a clock in the middle of it. I paid $20, it probably worh about $5.

I did get a propeller clock on our last cruise, and the captain signed it. It looks great on my wall at home.

It used to be an evening reception with free alcohol drinks. Now it is during the day and they have rice krispie treats regular and covered with chocolate. maybe a few other items, butno free Alcohol beverages like the evening one. They have the game and meet and greet with the officers. Personally I liked the old one better.

There is also a gift for you in your stateroom. I have a picture of it someplace

The last time we sailed, we were cc members (for the first time). No one told us about any reception and there was no gift in our stateroom-bummer.:confused3 THIS time I'll know what to expect.

Susan, the boat is of the great things about WL. The walk to and from the bock is nice especialy at night (that is if you're not too tired to enjoy it) the pool is nice but plain. There is a geyser that goes off near the pool every hour just like old fateful. The fireplace in the lobby is made with stones from the floor of the Grand Canyon. The totempoles are real. Can you tell that we kind of like the place? When you take the boat, have a crewmember point out the water bridge. You look out and see a highway going underneath the lake it's WILD. What a nice start to your vacation.

Linda

There should definately be a gift in your room and then a few days later your stateroom host will give you a card to verify you got the gift. Did you make sure your CC # is connected to your reservation just for good measure.

You think being on the boat is wild you should be on the road as a boat sails overhead.....that is the wierdest thing.

Busy Disney day. Went for a walk at lunch and saw all these Mickey balloons downtown. I walked to Market Square and there were Disney vans and cars, music, balloons, TV and radio stations. I got a "Donald Duck blue" Mickey balloon and went back to work knowing I was meeting Linda at Southside Works to see it all again, get another balloon and see Mickey and Goofy. Linda and I met at 5pm and there were no balloons, no Mickey, no Goofy, no interview. They denied me the opportunity to tell the world I was celebrating all of you! So I'm tellin' yinz all now I CELEBRATE YOU!!!
I was very disappointed with Disney today.

Went to Michael's and got the last supplies for the FE stuff and came home. I was home for about 10 minutes when my phone rang and it was a guy from Disney Vacation Club! I didn't win anything but he wants to sell me AKL or the new Contemporary. I want to buy too! AKL is on sale. Can you beat that?!?

Ken - When we sailed on the Wonder, Linda and her DH bought us all a propeller clock. I never thought about having the captain sign it;that's a great idea. And your Castaway Club clock may be worth more than you think. Some Disney stuff goes for a fortune. And it's worth more than 20 bucks to you, I'm sure!

I also called my TA and she canceled my ressie at AKL and rebooked us at the cheaper rate. Saved $80!

It's been a busy day!

Hi I packed the bracelets up tonight and will drop them at the post office tomorrow. If you get them and I messed up then just let me know and I can fix it.

Still lots more for anyone interested.

Judy, where are you? I missed your morning greeting.:)

Good Morning! I know I'm late today. I couldn't decide what to wear this morning then started putzin around in the closet trying to think about how I was going to put summer clothes away and get winter ones out and still keep everything available for the trip! Next thing I know it's time to leave fro the bus! I think I'll be doing the switch over this weekend. I may just pack what I can of the cruise stuff into the suitcases.
I'm heading to Best Buy this evening to get my copy of "Sleeping Beauty." It's our DD's favorite movie so I'll pick up one for her too. She still loves and admires Maleficent. :maleficen Sometimes I do worry.............

Teresa,
I just read on the local tv station website that Big Ben gave the Jacksonville P.D. $ for a police dog. It said that he donates money for a dog to every P.D. in every city that the Steelers play away games in. I know that he's a big dog lover and has a Bernese Mountain dog that he got when he went to Switzerland. When I win the lottery I will have a Bernese and a Newfoundland and 5 more Goldens. And a very big yard!

Hello all :wave2:

It's a rainy Tuesday here. The big news is gas dropped below $3.00 over the weekend.

What does everyone think of the summer 2010 cruises? It would be awesome but not sure that airfare would be affordable, at least not for 6 of us. I don't know if you'd have enough time in the ports either. It's kind of exciting about the Wonder doing 5-day cruises with Key West, Nassau, and CC. We loved Key West last time.

I'm really hoping that when the new ships come out that DCL goes to Alaska. That is one of our dream vacations.

I would love to cruise to St Petersburg, Russia! Airfare has to come down. It's killing us now just trying to fly to Florida.
I'm hoping one of the new ships goes to Hawaii. Maybe a Hawaii/Alaska 2 weeker?

One word.... FROST!! Yup, we had it this morning. Poor DS was freezing as he left for school.

Stacie, where do you live? Gas here is still around $3.60... hope it continues to drop.

We're heading up to camp to close up for the season, this week end. We have a 31 ft travel trailer that we leave on site. I imagine it will be extremely cold up there.

Cindy, I put your money in the mail today. You should have it by the end of the week.

I'm off to order my MVMCP tickets now. Maybe that will warm me up.

Shell- Brrrrr. It's going to 75 this weekend tho. Ask Ken to send you some warm weather too!
Gas is 3.44 here. I thought I was getting a bargain yesterday!
We got our MVMCP tickets a while ago. They're really cool - graphics are beautiful!

I'll be happy to do a small exchange of my heat and humidity for your cold and frost. I don't want too cold, or I wouldn't live in Florida. But I'd really like to be able to open my windows and turn off the a/c. But temps are still in the high 80's/low 90's. There is no such thing as packing away our summer clothes. We just have a small supply of winter clothes (jeans and long sleeve shirts) that come out for maybe 3 months.
