Going out today to get DS some more shorts. I hope I can find them! Winter coats and wool are all over the department stores up here. I also need to buy him a nice pair of khakis. I told him I was buying them his size and he had a breakdown. He likes them 3 sizes too big so they hang down over his butt. I'm just about done with that look, can't wait until he grows out of it! He likes his t-shirts to go down to his knees so you can't even see his shorts most of the time. What a fashion statement!

Here too! It's crazy because we're still getting 90° days, but the stores are full of winter clothes. I really should've gone shopping over the summer, but I was hoping to lose some weight and didn't know if the clothes would still fit.


I don't have any big plans today. Probably do a load of laundry, pick-up the house and run to the grocery store. I was thinking about going to the beach, but it's very overcast today.

Woo Hoo! I don't remember who mentioned getting their WDW room using a room only discount, but it prompted me to book Disney's Wilderness Lodge instead of Coronado Springs. It only cost me $36 to move, and I'm so excited! Thanks to whoever posted about this earlier! Was it you Sandy? If so, I owe you a drink on the Magic!

Those of you staying at AKL, how much are you paying for the night before we depart? I've always wanted to stay there but what I'm finding on the website is still out of my price range. Did you find a good deal or are you just splurging?

It's absolutely ridiculous! I should be strung up and beat for paying this. We're booked into a savanna room at AKL for Friday night, 2 adults and a 15 year old. Total with AAA discount is 349.31! This is probably the only time we'll ever stay there. We could never afford it for a week. We had originally booked Caribbean Beach but DS really wanted to do this - he loves animals. When we go to WDW we usually stay at a moderate but last 2 trips stayed at a value. Personally my favorite of every where we have stayed is All Star Music. I love Donald Duck and get such a kick out of the pool there.

We decided to do it because we could get a flight out of Pgh at 6:30am and arrive at 9:00am. That will give us the day to go to Downtown Disney, explore AKL and still go to MVMCP at MK in the evening. I worked a second job writing behavioral plans for dual diagnosed MH/MR teenagers to pay for the trip! But it was all worth it!

I got Wilderness for $213, which I thought was pretty good. You might go on and check because they'll adjust your price if it's available. I was previously using the AAA discount but found the room only discount to be much better. Good luck!

I just went to WDW website and a savannah room for the 21st, 2 adults and 1 child is 388.00. How do you get the room only discount? I didn't see it advertised. And I do want to save a buck if I can!!! Your Wilderness rate is great!

Great! I'm so glad you found it! I was so excited yesterday when I realized that I could stay at WL for only $36 more than what I had already paid. Plus, the resort we were staying at didn't have any room only specials left anyhow. So, it worked out great. I didn't realize that I could stay at AKL for less that WL, but I think we'll stick with what we've already booked. I've heard great things about WL too--especially when it's decorated for Christmas. I hope the next 6 1/2 weeks flies by!

The bracelets are lime green, have Mickey Mouse head on them and Disney font.

They come in 3 sizes:
Adult which is about 9 inches
Youth which is about 8 inches
Toddler which is a little smaller than 7 inches

They will be 80 cents each plus if you want me to mail them to you in advance then send me and extra $1 for postage (guessing that will be enough).
