Ok, I got a question for everybody participating in the fish extenders. I've never done this before so, my question is how many items do you put in? Is it one item per family or are you putting in a few small items. Just curious.

Speaking of funny names, when we get to talk F2F, ask Judy or me what our TA’s name is. I can make fun ‘cause you should hear MY last name.

Thank you for the info about the observation tower. I bet the view is fantastic.

Suzy Mouse- Congrats on you SK. My parents lived in Avalon NJ for years. I still miss it.

Judy- I hope Tim remembered. If not, he better remember your renewal anniversary as he’ll have the ship (and me) to jog his memory.

Hey guys, it’s going to be kind of crowded in the WD suite, so I’ll be over in the RD suite enjoying the upgrade I know will come any time now. The cruise line is just waiting so I’ll be really surprised. Feel free to drop by any time.

Linda

Thanks for your cheering everyone. I found a picture on the Gov's site...here's the link...I'm the blur in the bottom left.

Judy: My father forgot my parent's anniversary 1 time. They were laying in bed at night on their anniversary. As soon as 12:01 am rolled around she turned over and whaled him! I don't think he ever forgot again!

That is perfect!!!! Your mother is a genius and I love her!
I would use that tactic however,he did remember. Only after DD told him this afternoon. I was watching the game and he said he had to go buy cat litter. I didn't think anything of it. I pay no attention to the cats (truth be known I don't really like them) and have no idea about their litter or lack thereof. He went shopping and bought me beautiful white gold and diamond hoop earrings. Oh, and a Pepperidge Farm cake. He got a yellow cake so I'm sure he knew it was going to be just for him. Otherwise it would be chocolate! But the thought was there and he even sang "Happy Anniversary to Us" as he ate his cake.

You Turkeys can fight over the Walt and Roy suites. I will be in a cat 2 one bedroom suite. I am not greedy!:lmao: :rotfl2:

DH just walked past and made a comment about me being on the computer again.I told him I was going to tell everyone on this thread that if they want to recognize me I will be the one traveling with Billy Bob Thornton. He threatened me if I did! Plutoluvsfifi Linda can back me up on this but Tim looks like Billy Bob. I unfortunately do not look like Angelina Jolie! He has been stopped by so many people who think that's who he is. One check out clerk in a grocery store actually left her line when she saw him and went to another clerk and told her Billy Bob was in the store!!!!:lmao: A guy in a Walmart parking lot walked past him, came back walked past 2 more times and finally said "Dude, I thought you were Billy Bob Thornton!" We go to a restaurant near use frequently and they would refer to us as "Billy Bob's table".Oh boy, he's gonna kill me for telling you all! When he was younger and in college he had long hair and people thought he was David Cassidy. :lmao: :rotfl2:  You can all call him Bad Santa or Mr. Woodcock!

Suzanne - I saw you! You are really blurred. You'll have to post a clear photo for all of us to see. The Gov. looks good after his horrific accident. Don't think I could run like that if I had been that injured.

Ok I'm glad Billy Bob remembered.:rotfl2: Your earrings sound lovely. Bring them on the cruise so we can all see them.

From everything I have read I think you can do what ever you want.
Do you have any ideas?

Stacie--Please put us on for Sunday.

I have something for everyone that is participating, including the smallest kids. Everyone is getting different varieties of the same thing.

Judy--How's the mermaid coming along? Since we're only a couple of doors away, I'll have to check out your cat 2. We have cat 11's.

Glad you got a gift.

Lora

So, if we're personalizing something for our FE gifts, should we just put "Billy Bob" on his?:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Hi all, I've been catching up on the thread I was down with the crud over Labor Day weekend and took most of this week to recover. So far no one else in the family is showing any signs, so hopefully I didn't pass it on.

This week is homecoming week at the kids' school so we all get to go to school/work in our pajamas tomorrow! Now that's my kind of work wardrobe!!

Have a great week,
Lorie

Good Morning!
Just sent DS off for his first day at school. :teacher: It was tough getting him up this morning and when I asked if he was excited :yay: about going back (stupid question) he just gave me one of those looks and said "no, I want to sleep". I, of course was understanding and supportive and told him "Life's tough and we all have to do things we don't want to do. I told you to go to bed earlier, why don't you ever listen to me?" I'm creating wonderful memories for him. Then I asked him if he had a notebook and pen. His response "No. It's the first day, why would I need them?" You know, you do what you can and let natural consequences take over.
Have a great day everyone and I'll check in throughout the day.

Judy--This sounds like my DS. I offered to go and buy him school supplies. His response was he only needed one notebook and a pen. I asked him about folders and he told me he didn't need any that's what textbooks were for. I'm sure the teachers appreciate bent up homework.

Susan--:grouphug: for you and Brandon today. My parents 75 day mark was this morning, I tried reserving the dune buggys for Dad, DH, DS, and DD in Cozumel but there is only room for two people, not four. I think I'll try to book them independently, it's the same cost and same length of time. The only difference is they are two-seaters instead of four-seaters.

Stacie,

Thanks for the hug! I felt like the mother of a kindergarten student this morning. Brandon seemed fine, but I was almost in tears! I'm anxious to pick him up after school today to see how it went.

I'm sorry you couldn't get the dune buggy excursion reserved. Steph had trouble also but was finally able to get it. Did you reserve it for the rest of you already? It looks REALLY cool! I didn't realize you got to see some of the ruins and go to the top of a lighthouse. We're pretty excited about it. I hope you can get it booked directly through the company. Otherwise, keep checking. I was able to find a spot for Steph just the other day when there weren't spots open before, so you never know.

Susan

I didn't find the jet skiing excursion under CC shore excursions. Maybe they're all gone?:confused3

Andy and I can't go on the dune buggys so we were going to do something with my mom. Right now there is only one spot on the Disney excursion. I even called DCL to verify because it would let me book one person but not 2, 3, or 4. The other company is not the one Disney uses, although it sounds like a very similar tour. It is 5 hours and includes lunch and a snorkeling stop. It requires a non-refundable deposit though so I'm not going to book it quite yet.

Susan -
Be sure to let us know how Brandon's day went. Once he gets settled I'm sure he will love it. Kids are so much more flexible than we are. :thumbsup2

Stacie -
Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only parent out there that finds this behavior odd! Ian didn't want one school supply either. Nor did he want to go clothes shopping! "Just pick me up a couple of t-shirts. I'd like them to have pictures of guitars on them." Ok.

I just checked and they are still listed. It's under Personal Watercraft Eco Tour (Double and Single)

VA Gal - Are you a DVC member? If so, you have to talk to my DH. I have been trying to get him to join and he fights me tooth and nail. If we go to WDW every year we would save and he just will not do it. I also see you are staying at AKV before the cruise. We are staying at AKL on Fri 11/21 and attending Mickeys XMas party.

It is called the personal watercraft eco-tour. You can pick double (two riders) or single. It was showing as available when I was logged in just a little bit ago.

Ok, here is a crazy idea. I was looking around for FE gifts and found several companies that print custom lanyards. They are really cool but a little out of my budget to give as fish extender gifts. The price quote I received is for $4.00 each. That is for the lanyard and a pouch large enough to hold a KTTW card. Here is what they would look like:

Is anyone interested in purchasing these?

I'm a DVC member and I'm always willing to talk to people to get them to join. (And not just for the bonus money DVC gives for referrals.) DVC is the best thing we've ever bought.

TwoByFour - I was just pricing out the same thing having the same idea for extender gifts but yes, a little pricey. This will be the first year we get our Castaway Cay lanyards so we might pass but then again, if everyone is going to do them, I might have to be a follower and get them too!
