Just one correction to the website. The cruise dates say 11/22-11/28, are they kicking us off one day early:rotfl2: No big deal, just thought I would let you know.

14 families for the FEs! It takes us a month to pick out one gift for a birthday party. I like the one day per family idea it will let us be a bit more creative.

I am not so keen on a cruise meet in the terminal. Its kinda our time to reflect on leaving the real world behind and looking forward to the week ahead. Once we are onboard, all bets are off. If we do it onboard, then whetever and wherever you want is fine by us. But if everybody else wants too meet in the terminal, well . . . .

It's fixed, you might have to hit refresh to see the change. I also added SuzyMouse's info. :)

How about a deadline to sign up for the FEs and then everyone will have an assigned day? That way the little ones will get gifts every day.

My name is Steph. We will be on this cruise also. Can't wait. Count our family in - this sounds like a lot of fun:banana: Don't know our room number yet, but will let everybody know when I know. It will be myself, DH, DD13 and DS11. Looking forward to getting to know all of you:cheer2:

Thanks Staci! Looking forward to seeing you guys too! And CONGRATS on ?? due 3/8/09:laundy: . Kimmi's birthday is 3/3.

Hi, Steph! Glad to see you here on our cruise meet. Do you think we can wait until November? I'm ready to go NOW!:cool1:

I forgot to mention that I like the idea of only delivering FE gifts on one day of the cruise. I was also worrying that I might get so focused and stressed about the FE's that I might not enjoy the cruise as much. I want it to be fun and stress free.:goodvibes I read someone else's post on another thread about how each family had assigned days. I like that idea much better than just having to wander around the ship daily trying to deliver. We're in for whatever everyone else wants to do though. We'll go with the flow.

Bob and I would really rather meet on the ship than in the termnal. I think that would be too hard with people arriving at all different times,

We are interested in t shirts.

Lora

Lora--I forgot to answer you yesterday about food at the meet. I can e-mail and ask if they can provide some "party" food. Maybe a cheese/meat/cracker tray and a fruit tray?

I had tentatively scheduled the meet from 2:30-3:30, that way I thought those that board early would have plenty of time to eat and swim before the meet, then they could stop by the meet before heading to the staterooms to get ready for the lifeboat drill. Would 3:00 be better? Do we want two options on Saturday and then a mini-meet Sunday before the early seating/show like in the Promenade lounge? Or an event on Monday while we're at sea?

Hey Susan ~ It's a shame we never talk to each other:rotfl: November can't come soon enough for me! TTYL

I really like the idea of meeting on Sunday or Monday while we're at sea. I have no idea what time Disney transportation will get us to the terminal on Saturday and it's so rushed getting settled, eating and getting ready for the drill. It seems like we would really have more time to relax and get to know each other on either Sun or Mon.

Is anyone else staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge on Friday night?

Got my cholesterol report back from the doc today. As if I did not need a second reason other than this cruise to loose some pounds. If I can lay off the beer for a bit . . . . . :rotfl:

Why is it that everything that tastes good is bad for us? Beer, chocolate, caffeine, sugar - all bad. Brussel sprouts, parsnips, turnips - all disgusting little things but they're good for us. It hardly seems fair.

Getting closer..... so last night we PAID IN FULL!!!! :cool1: We're ready to sail! :sail: Just waiting for the 90 day mark ......

I would also rather have the DIS meet during a day at sea. To be quite honest, we've never made it to previous DIS meets because they have been on the first day. We get excited, the kids play in the pool, we go to the room to unpack and get settled in, and the next thing we know it's time for the sail away party. I think we might have a better turn out if it wasn't on the first day. But, that's just my opinion. I would, for once, like to actually make it to the DIS meet.:grouphug:

IKWYM As much as I would love to meet everyone on the first day of the cruise, there doesn't seem to be enough time. Add lunch, trying to change dinner times, and the safety drill to the things you mentioned and it gets a little busy.
