Judy-

You mean that you don't know how to do the "bump"? Maybe we need some dance lessons on the cruise.:rotfl2:

Believe me-there have been plenty of days the past 3 weeks that a medicinal dose of happy drinks were warrented. I know the hospital has beer. I've used it when I worked medical floors to keep alcoholics from having withdrawal. I begged Kenzie's doctor to write it as an order for "Mom to have a drink to chill her out", but he never did--WHAT ABOUT PATIENTS MOTHERS RIGHTS!!!NO, NO, NO just kidding. I don't like beer and any more than 1 drink and Bob would have to pull me out from under the table. I'm such a cheap date.:lmao:

I just did a search for fish extender on ebay. They range from 0.99 cents - 30 dollars. Is this just for the kids or for adults as well? Oh yeah, did I mention 118 days to go . . . .

Ken,

I would think just one per room since there is only 1 fish outside each room. Then we can just put stuff in for everyone in that room.

Lora

Where is everyone? OR am I the only one who Dis'es 20-30 times a day. Bob says that I need to go to Dis'er anonymous.

"Hi my name is Lora and I am a Dis-aholic"

Thanks for the "bump" info. That's been buggin' me!

Someone stole the DCL antenna bopper off of my husbands car yesterday. He was very upset and afraid to tell me! Luckily I had several extra boppers (none were cruise line however) and he chose an Animal Kingdom one. He's hoping he can get a replacement this trip. He has had that one for almost 3 years and the only time he takes it off is to put his Mickey Steelers helmet one on. He said he's not going to chance that one ever again and will hang it from the mirror this season.

I'm off to find appropriate fabric for our FE. Have a good day everyone!

Judy

A Mickey Steelers helmet, can't get much better than that! Mickey and Steelers what a great combination. Where did you get them?

We went to our local Disney Outlet today and bought some items for the grab bag and for FE gifts. It was so much fun looking for things.

The website has been updated. :)

We were talking about the cruise today. We were trying to figure out when we'll go on the next one. We want DS1 to be old enough to do the kid's club and the new little one to be able to do some things, but we don't want to have to wait forever either. I think it will be harder to cruise with two little ones than one little one, especially since DS will be old enough to do some things and the little one won't.

We're glad that the Magic will be out of dry dock, it was looking really worn when we were on in December. I also hope they bring the Toy Story show on board.

Ken - 118 days! Whoo Hoo! I can smell the salt air!

I was explaining FE to my DH today. As soon as I mentioned we hang bags on the fish outside the cabin he started to laugh. He loved that fish last cruise. Our DD bought him a keychain of the fish and it is one of his prized possessions. He said he can never figure out if it is smiling, mad or indifferent because of the expression on its face.

I too hope they bring Toy Story aboard the Magic. It's one of my favorite Disney movies (second only to the Jungle Book). It looks really great.
I can't wait for our grandson to be old enough to go to Disney with us. No one will ride Dumbo or the Tea Cups with me. I figure he'll be a great excuse! And I can get autographs and go to character greets without people looking at me funny. And spend time in Camp Minnie Mickey and ride the Barnstormer - the possibilities are endless. And I've always wanted to see Bear in the Big Blue House......
Teresa - I've been looking for a Mickey Steelers bopper for you ever since you said you were fans. I got ours at WalMart (of all places) several years ago. I've seen them since and I'm hoping I'll find one when the season gets in full swing. I'll have my sister look in Erie as well. Sometimes she can find things I can't.
Lora - I've also got my eyes peeled for unusual Penguins stuff. If there's anything specific you want, let me know.
I must ask - where's the Disney Outlet store? We had one for about 6 months at a local outlet but it was just temporary. I bought red Crocs for 10.00 and ceramic plates for 5.00. They closed down over the 4th. Now we only have a regular Disney store in our mall.

Judy, thanks for looking for the Mickey Steelers, I've never seen them around here. But where we leave is actually Eagles country, so it's most Eagles stuff. Our closest Disney Outlet is in Jackson, NJ near Six Flags Great Adventure. If there is something you want just let me know and I can go and look and see if they have it. I was also just reading some of your previous posts and saw that you have a golden retriever, so do we.

I just did an ebay search for mickey steelers topper and found 2. Get it before it's gone

Lora

Ok I want to make a countdown ticker, I went onto the countdown website and created it. How do I get it to post on here?

As you can see I finally figured it out. I was just putting it in under the wrong format.

Teresa - Lex is our Golden. His registered name is "Lexington in Jackson's Valley". He's named after Lexington, Va. and Stonewall Jackson. I'm also a big Civil War freak! DS and I gave him a bath this afternoon and I'm waiting for him to dry so I can give him his Frontline. Fleas are bad around here this year and I don't want to risk it. He's 9 on 8/4 and he's gray around the muzzle. He's just so special. The breed is wonderful. We also have a 3 cats - Murray, George Gordan Meade and Walter Disney!
No problem with the Steeler Mickey. My DH and I were actually at a Pgh Sports store this afternoon. They will be getting more stuff in over the next month.

Ken - Just realized you have new photos! They're great! I need to figure out how to put some on mine.
I tried to put a banner on mine too and never could figure it out. I think it's time to call my DS. I'll tell ya, if you want something techno done, call a 15 year old! :badpc:

Hi Judy,

I stitched together a bunch of photos in Photoshop Elements, posted them to www.photobucket.com, and linked to them in my signiture. If your DS is busy with other things, let me know and I can help out.

Ken

Hi everyone

I have a favor to ask of all of you. I am making our gifts to put in the FE's. It would really help me out a lot if I knew who would be playing along and how many rooms you have that are participating. What I am making will be one per room, but I don't want to make 50 if I only need 25, and I certainly want to have enough.

So if you even think that you will, please let me know, as I need to go shopping and ebay so that I have enough stuff.

Thanks everyone

Lora and Bob

Good morning everyone. It's going to be a beautiful day today in the Burgh and we're another day closer! Not that I'm trying to wish my life away but I can't wait!

Ken - Thank you so much for your offer. I asked DS Ian on Sunday and he said he would help me. We're going to try it tonight. If he can't figure it out,you may hear from me! :surfweb:

Lora - We will have 1 room and there's only 3 of us. You have really piqued my interest. What in the world are you up to? I've been having a good time shopping for things as well. Even got DH Tim interested. We did something similar with friends before our last cruise and had a blast.

Went shopping yesterday and bought some new clothes for the trip. It's exciting for me because they're 3 sizes smaller than what I'd been wearing! I guess it's been worth denying myself those Hershey bars and french fries! I'm still looking for a simple black dress for formal night. I've been trying to figure out what to do for Pirate night. I may go to the fabric store and look at patterns for inspiration. Disney Store doesn't have any costumes available yet (in store or on-line). I'm sure I'll find something.

Teresa - How about that Casey Hampton? Have you seen pictures? He's huge! Mike Tomlin is furious - you can see it on his face. And Polamalu didn't get any uglier during the off season. I love his smile! :thumbsup2 His wife is one lucky woman!

Have a great day everone...... :smickey:

I had PMed everyone that had posted on our thread a couple months ago, I'm working on compiling another one so that we can figure out how many for the grab bag, fish extenders, etc.

It is HOT HOT HOT here, another round of storms tonight. DS gets back from CO tomorrow, he's been gone for the last week with church. We're just impatiently waiting.

We are definately in for the grab bag and for the fish extender. Never done the FE before, it will be fun!!!

Judy, yes I did see pictures of Casey Hampton, wow I didn't think he could get bigger. Hopefully, he can get himself in shape and get ready for the line.
I love Troy too, he is such a nice person/player. Since training camp started I've been trying to follow stories on the webpages.

Hope I don't sound like a party pooper and please don't take this the wrong way, but the fish extender thing sounds like a lot of work while on vacation. Am I missing something?:confused3

Ken--The fish extender thing is a lot of fun. The kids loved checking the bag to see what was in it. It wasn't a whole lot of work, we made up the goody bags and labeled them with stateroom numbers before we left home. All we had to do was deliver them and after eating, I needed any excuse to walk that I could find. I don't think anyone is expecting something from each family everyday, that would be way too much work while on vacation.

I just PM'ed everyone that has posted on our thread (53 families!!!) If you've posted and didn't get a PM let me know, I'll add you to my list.
