We have a 6:00pm flight back home so the rental car makes sense for us.

We will visit Downtown Disney and shop some more..

Hello all, I have not checked in in a while. Hard to believe its only 8 months away!

Michael, we did the same thing last time around and it was a great way to end the trip. I thought I couldn't eat again for a few days after the cruise, but I had no trouble finishing off a sandwich at the Earl of Sandwiches.

Okay...I broke down and got our airline tickets! I was trying to wait for Southwest or Jetblue to post rates, but after watching the rates rise I panicked!
This is our first flight from Boston (lived in MD our last cruise) and we have never flown durning the holiday season....OUCH! A huge difference!
Hopefully once I get over the sticker shock...I can relax knowing we have our flights!!:scared1:
It is 27 degrees here this morning and a chance of snow.....Castaway Cay, take me away!!:cloud9:

Page 3 again?!!? Bumping us up...

Need to call DCL this evening and pay off room #1 and pay a chunk on room #2. (Note - room #1 has REAS package on it). ::yes::

:hourglass Counting down the days until I hear that sweet horn...:hourglass

Have any of you guys heard any updates on Costa Maya? Just wondering how the progress is going. Also some of you mentioned going on your own for an excursion to the Native Choice. Have any of you made any reservations and which ones? Looking at that with the family, especially the 3 and 8yo's. We would love to have some company.

Any of you guys affected by ATA shutting down? At first I thought it was AirTran, but luckily it's not.

I couldn't seem to find previous threads about Costa Maya. The search got stuck on loading..... and I got tired of waiting. I seem to remember reading (somewhere) that they expect to be up and running by Sep or Oct 2008. I believe some people from this thread have said that they already booked tours, but I wonder if those reservations still stand. This is a tour we would like to take also, but I'm waiting to see. Our choice would probably be the Chacchoben Mayan Ruin Tour. The Native Choice web site doesn't appear to have any new information on it regarding the restoration progress.

Ok, I'm here. I have finsihed serving my 6-week sentance as Girl Scout Cookie cupboard. I can get on with life.

We finally made reservations for before the cruise. We need three hotel rooms, staying on Disney property is insanely expensive when you need three rooms for four nights. We found a 3 bedroom/3 bath house in a great gated community for less than half of staying on property. Even with a rental car before and after the cruise, we're still ahead financially. We've never stayed off-site and swore we'd never stay off-site but we are going to try it.

Anyone else going to do WDW before or after the cruise? There is a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on November 20 and 21 and another one on November 30.

Now if I could only get my airfare booked. We are holding out for Allegiant to come out with their rates, they are still only booking through 8/31/08. I keep seeing the airline prices going nothing but up but I really want to take a direct flight.

I e-mailed the Native Chocie recently but haven't heard back. Hopefully they'll be back up and running soon.

Andy (who will be 17-months this week) finally took his first steps last night, if he's anything like his older brother he will be running by the end of the week.

We booked the ruins tour with David and Ivan through Native Choice. As far as I know, everything is still on. We are looking so forward to this cruise! We just got back from Hawaii, and we did a cruise to the different islands while we were there. Although Hawaii is absolutely beautiful, we didn't enjoy the cruise so much. It was nothing like Disney, so we are really looking forward to cruising with the mouse again!:thumbsup2

BTW--I can't believe baby Andy is walking already! Tell everyone hi for us Stacie!:goodvibes

I'm stuck in the same situation you're in - except I'm waiting on Southwest to open up their bookings. They are still only booking through 22 Aug, but their website says that on 17 Apr they will start booking through 30 Oct. UGH! Still not out far enough.

You just finished with GS Cookies, wow. Our cookie sale here in NJ has been over since February.

Susan--How 'bout those Jayhawks? I bet your son is just a little bit excited.

I was wondering how Hawaii was. You survived zip-lining :)

Andy is growing up WAY too quick. We haven't been in a hurry for him to walk but now that he took those first steps reality is crashing in, he is going to be a toddler not a baby. :sad1:

I just went online and checked our flights. We paid $282 pp in January, it is now $647 pp. OH MY GOSH!!!!!! They also changed our flight time home, it is now scheduled for 12:15pm, it was originally scheduled for 12:50pm, we will be making a made dash off the ship.
