11/2/08 4-night wonder--anyone else?

The cruise is listed under the meets without a thread so hopefully I am ok for posting first! (why are we first, is this the most horrible time ever to cruise??)

We are doing land/sea at the Poly for the land--I am so excited, I have wanted to stay there forever!

Anyway, would love to meet some more land/sea-ers!!!

We will be cruising 11/2/08. We are surprising our dd (age 7). This will be our first time cruising in Nov. other times have been in Sept and Oct. I think it will be a good time to cruise there will be no hurricanes to worry about.

We are first time cruisers from Ottawa Canada doing a land and sea vacation with 6 nights at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Our little boy will be five at the time of the trip. We are so excited. We can't wait to see Castaway Cay up close and personal

I am so happy we got some postings going on! I was beginning to think it was a "bad" date for some reason!

We have two daughters who will be 4.5 and 6.5 at the time of sailing! Are you thinking your kids will be in the kids clubs? I know my older one will love it but the variable is the younger one. The don't like to be separated so hopefully it will all work out!

So what are you guys focusing on with your planning? Are you doing anything onboard (spa/paolo?)

Do you know where your cabins are? I think ours is 6042, cat 6.

I am pretty obsessed too since this our first "big" family trip. Our little guy will definitely be in the kid's club. He is pretty independant and wants his own time. Once he sees all his "potential new friends" he won't want to spend another moment with us! So far I think we plan to do Blackbeard's Cay Stingray Adventure at Nassau and the day snorkeling/beach adventure at Castaway Cay. Other than that we will just be soaking it all in. We'll need a rest after 6 nights at Disney!!

We are staying on deck 5 close to the kid's club. I read it was a good location. We are first time cruisers so only took a category 11 room. Helped keep the cost down a little!

We would love to book brunch and dinner at Palos as well as a couples massage. DD has stated that if we ever go on another disney cruise she is not going to the clubs. Apparently, the last time some kids picked on her, she is very sensitive. We will be staying on board in Nassua since this is our 4th cruise and love how the ship is very quiet. We like to think of it as an extra sea day. We do not know our cabin number yet as we booked a 12 gty. We are hoping we get upgraded if not it will be ok just knowing we are on the ship again.

Pair up your little one with my little bruiser and no worries about getting picked on!! That is too bad that something like that would happen and tarnish her opinion of the club. We'll see how my CS feels about it all when he spends his first hour or so there. This is meant to be a family vacation anyway. If he doesn't like it it doesn't matter. We just want to spend some time together and away from work!

Have you done the Blackbeard's stingray tour? If so, how was it? Any pictures that you could forward my way?

Seems like no one else is going to be on the Wonder at this time!!! I wish! Do you know if they will still have a Halloween theme at this time?

It will be interesting to see how my girls like the clubs. My older daughter is very social and gets along with most anyone. She will totally want to do the clubs. My youngest is totally all over the map. If they stay together, I think it will work but they fall into different activity age categories so I don't know how that fly.

Personally, I don't mind if we are all together the whole trip--DH and I can swap spa time

Are you guys planning on MNSSHP at the parks, if not how are you handling Trick or Treating?

We are definititely doing the MNSSHP. I read somewhere that the tickets were available. So I called Disney.....they won't be available until about May. Really looking forwrd to that. Going to be a wonderful trip.
