Denise - Sorry to be confusing about the dolphins. I have read that in some ports the dolphin places have contracts with DCL and they will not allow you to book directly with them if you are on a DCL cruise. People have found ways to get around it (you know how resourceful DISers can be!). I just didn't know if that was the case with your group. Hope I make more sense now (but then again, when do I ever REALLY make any sense?).

I Didn't have a prob booking the Dolphins. But some evil DCL rep is prob reading this and deleting my OBC

But if you think about any cruise, you can just walk off the ship and do anything you want ,so in my view they have no right to say anything.
But it's prob in some itty,bitty part of the contract.

That'd distract me!!!! Is it the Beatles version? I want that sooooooooooooo badly!!!! But first I gotta get a game system. And the only one I want is the Wii. Because I can't handle the controllers for the other ones -- too many buttons. What happened to a joystick and a single button?!? I tried to play a war game with my son one time and he said "Mom, just walk with me". I looked at the controller with two joysticks, several buttons on the front and additional buttons up on the top of the thing, and then looked at him and plaintively said "How?????"

I asked this once before I think - did any of you pay the fuel surcharge when you booked? I had hoped that I would be seeing an OBC but I am not thinking so as the price of a barrel is over $70.00 and today is "the big day". Dang!

We got lucky and did not pay the fuel surcharge. There's a thread over on the main cruise board that is following the oil prices and it doesn't look good.

We booked in May 2008 and we didn't have a fuel charge.

Good for both of you. And it amazes me that some paid and some didn't - and I certainly don't want you to have to pay - I just don't want to have to either. $95.00 per cruise coming out of my DOTD fund. Momma isn't happy!

I paid the fuel charge and have little hope of getting it back.

As for sending myself 2 packages... (where's the THUNK icon?) Why didn't I think of sending one to each stateroom. DUH!!! Thanks for the replies.

My FEs arrived from my mom today in the mail - they're AWESOME!!! She made them with purple Tinkerbell fabric - if I can figure out how to post a picture I will. The kids were super excited....

We are staying at POFQ after the cruise, too...but, only for one day. It is just to hard to say "good bye" right away. We are staying there before the cruise, too. Maybe, we will see you there!!!

Good Morning everybody!

I slept long and hard last night - SO happy. Today will b e busy - laundry, making a birthday cake for our dinner party tomorrow night (carrot) and taking a friend for an endoscopy (better her than me!!!)

Making a couple evening bags for the trip - I couldn't find any I liked well enough to pay what they were asking for. Last night, I read the directions. Hmm. I think it's been WAY too long since I sewed anything - can't remember what some of them mean. Anyone sew?

Us too , we're staying at POFQ until the following Saturday (after Thanksgiving). I usually decorate our windows at the resorts, but I've been thinking cruise cruise cruise, so I've got nothing planned yet for POFQ. I've got to think about it more.

Okay, I'm quoting myself here - I went in and added a column to the far right with Post Cruise Plans - I guess I do have the "power" .

If you are sticking around, fill us in on your plans!! We'll keep the party going for as long as we can before it's back to reality

We're headed to KSC for the day after we disembark and then we're spending the night at the Fairfield by the airport. We're flying to NC on Sunday to spend Thanksgiving with DH's family.

Heading to KSC and then on to NC sounds wonderful. Since we have such extravegant "pre-cruise" plans, we are heading back to Michigan. Unless the plane changes AGAIN, we fly out at noon on the 21st. WAAAAAAAAAAAA!
