Yes! You can get Rock Band for the Wii too, even the Beatles version.

Then that's definitely the game system we're going to have to get! I know the boys want an XBox and I'm probably at the point where I'd be okay with them having an XboxLive account (have to keep reminding myself that EM#1 is about to be 16 years old and I have to let him grow up... that's very, very hard for a control-freak Hypermommy to do). But if they want that they'll have to save up some money to get it 'cause Momma's getting one she can actually use.

Denise - Sorry to be confusing about the dolphins. I have read that in some ports the dolphin places have contracts with DCL and they will not allow you to book directly with them if you are on a DCL cruise. People have found ways to get around it (you know how resourceful DISers can be!). I just didn't know if that was the case with your group. Hope I make more sense now (but then again, when do I ever REALLY make any sense?:rolleyes1).

Oh, I get it now. Never even knew that. And you make more sense than I do.

We're getting close people, real close!

Too close! Still soooooo much to do.

Denise, are you liking your new job as well as you thought you would? How much longer will you have to live in two towns?

Loving the job and the people are excellent!!!!! Still have several more weeks of living in 2 towns. Told the guys they have to come down to Otown next week because I'm sick of the drive and it's their turn. Have to find out if EM#2 can get out of working the football game with the Scout troop though. If it puts them shorthanded then I guess I'll schlep it on up here for another week.

Cool thing is I found a store that has a big YuGiOh sign out front. EM#2 is still really into this card game. In fact, we had his birthday party yesterday (a week late because there was swine flu in the neighborhood... none of my guys got it fortunately) and that's what all the boys were doing whenever I'd look out there is playing YuGiOh battles!

Also found a great (free!) place to take EM#1. I'm gonna make him put his hands in his pockets so he doesn't scratch any paint and take him over to the Ferrari dealership. He's quite excited about it.

But we're thinking Thanksgiving weekend is the weekend we're going to move. I'm counting down the weeks. November's going to be a busy, busy month.

Hey HM, how about a good old Atari 2600 game of pong:woohoo:

Or maybe Space Invaders??:thumbsup2

Amen!!!!!!!

Actually I was talking to my nephew several years ago. He's gonna be 21 next month so that gives you an idea of the age. Anyway, we were talking about video games and I asked if he knew what Pong was. He said "It's that old people's game, isn't it?" The boy's just lucky he's still alive to make it to 21. If my sister had had another son I might have killed him but as he's the only one on that side of the family, I had to let him live.

I have been on threads where this is a game - to get the top of a page or to get to a specific post number.

How about longest and/or most boring post? I win!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

It's a balmy 57 here, hit around 40 last night.

Shut up! :rotfl2:

I was just sitting outside with KC last night thinking about how hot and muggy it still is. Send some of that cold air this way so people will want to buy some firewood!!!! Got to get this junk sold before November!

Todays my B'day, OMG depressing:headache:, getting TOO close to the magic 50 mark.
People don't say I look it ,but I sure feel it:sad2:

What you have to remember is that getting older beats the alternative. :scared1:

Hello All!
My laptop died and I am now up and running with a pretty new one! My husband was able to pull off all my important files so I will be working on the Mini-Nav this week.

Congrats on the new computer!!!!! I'm thinking about getting one so I can leave this laptop here so KC can get on more often. The boys are on the other computers most of the time.... supposedly doing schoolwork but definitely not getting it done! :rotfl2:

I'm thinking of running over to Walmart and getting one but I have to look over what they have. I'd love to be able to get one of those little netbooks and they're only about $300 over there. I'm thinking about it because I could probably load whatever programs I need on an EDD and get by with that. But I just don't know.... anyone have one of those? If you do, PM me.... I'd love to see how you like it. They're so small that I could just fit it right in my purse and take it with me but I just don't know if I could get used to the smaller size keyboard and screen and all.

Okay... off to gather up the numbers that I should have gathered yesterday. Just too much facebooking (bejeweled blitz). But I did get most off the clothes from the closet packed. Left out what we might need for the cruise and what KC might need for colder weather but got a big box packed.

Happy Birthday, XXCell and Frances!

We had a birthday here yesterday too - my husband's ski buddy. I made a yummy carrot cake and we grilled out and then had a bonfire in the little fire pit, until it was deep dar, and so chilly even the blankets weren't sufficient.

I won't be sorry not to have to make a map = one thing I can cross off my list without having to do anything about it. Thank you, Cynthia!

:bday::bday:party::bday::bday:

Hope you both had a grand day. We went to Alma to watch Drew ummm, warm up. They tied (0-0). We did take him to dinner so got to spend some time with him. The weather was perfect only the car was hot when the game was over. We took Drew back to the locker room so he put the window down! We drove home with that window down - or should I say windows because it made a horrible vibrating sound without 2 windows down. Hopefully Ben can get the thing up today and we will be good. I will be sure to have a jacket in the car - I was chilly as it was MY window that was the 2nd one.

Have a grand day everyone! We are heading back to Alma - to probably just watch Drew warm up again but we shall see.

Noontime check in - pool and gym done. Oh, and I pressed the pattern nad fabric for the evening bags I'm making. next up lunch and NAP.

Not long winded - interesting, Denise. Good job on the stats, too!

Good morning all!

And Happy Belated Birthday xxcell! I hope you enjoyed your day and your dinner!

Not much going on here, did order a new swimsuit for the cruise...UGH we will see how it fits. Also borrowed some shoes from a friend for Formal Night..I was going to buy some but hers are perfect!. Really starting to get into cruise thinking mode...

Still waiting for my airline tickets to show up on the Disney site...I think they said check at 45 days prior to cruise...Anyone else book air through Disney?

Oh well, I am off to the grocery store, so maybe I will post later we need to get to 4000!

Relaxing with a cup of coffee before I go upstairs to work out with my Wii - strength and conditioning with EA Sports Active and latin/salsa dancing with Samba de Amigo.

It's sunny and in the high 70s today. I'm already starting to think in terms of our annual visit to the pumpkin patch during a sunny weekend in October.

Enjoy the day everyone!

Hi Everyone,
Working hard on organizing today. Got my packing list done and starting to move more things to the guest room for "cruise staging". I have a rolling garment rack and ready to start hanging. My friend who cruises frequently said she uses one. Never tried it before so we shall see.

I feel like I'm missing something, not sure what but I better get focused before it too late!:surfweb:

Thank you all for the Happy Birthday wishes!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Had a good night, but I fell asleep during the movie, I am an early riser, so me and my DD watched Bedtime Stories till we fell asleep. I woke up to HS Musical 3 :scared1: and switched on the military channel.

So I get my B'day cake tonight, Irish Belle was a doll about it.

Now I just need to eat fast and watch the Giants beat the Cowboys in that mousetrousesty new stadium you built down there.:rotfl:, but at least your owner paid for it, unlike our stadiums up here in the NE.;);)

Well, Thanks again and we are getting closer to finishing our FE's gifts.

Talk to you all soon

Cut out both evening bags (need more interfacing) and took a two hour nap. I love Sunday!

I am a little frustrated....Was checking our cruise for next year (we booked onboard last year for just DH and I) well since we decided to take this cruise we were going to add the kids to the one next year..So I was checking tonight and there are no cat 11 or 12 left ...and the cat 10 is gty. I was actually going to book this summer but then since we went on this I used that money for this cruise, and I was going to book them when we were onboard this one for the discount and OBC. Now I do not know what to do. I will not be able to afford them in a much higher cat and even though they will be..19, 17 and 15. I would like them to be close to us as far as rooms go. Last time we had a Cat 6 with the 11 across the hall and it worked wonderful. I did not think this cruise Oct 23 2010 would be so popular with all the new cruises coming out:confused3...Any advice?

Thank you all for the Happy Birthday wishes!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Hey, I'm a Cowboy fan!! lol My hubby is watching the game. His team is Tenn. Cowboys are losing right now. :sad1:

Now that it's getting close, my kids would love to get to know other kids their age through email before the cruise.

If you have a daughter who will be in the 11-13 group in Ocean Quest, and she would like to get to know my daughter through email, please PM me and we can exchange email addresses.

If you have a son who will be in the 8-10 age group in the Oceaneer's Lab, and he would like to get to know my son through email, please PM me and we can exchange email addresses.

My daughter did this with a couple little girls on our last cruise, and it made it really fun for them to meet up at the port and know someone already in the kids clubs. My son was a bit young to chat on email last time, but he'd love to participate this time.

Not long winded - interesting, Denise. Good job on the stats, too!

That's very sweet of you.

Just the morning check-in. I made it back to Orlando just fine last night and decided before coming back to my hotel that I'd head over to WDW for a little research for my website. I toured the Wilderness Lodge for a couple of hours and took a ton of pictures. I focused on the fireplace, the geyser and the Carolwood Pacific room at the Villas. Then I headed on home and vegged for the rest of the night.

Okay, time for a bit of bejeweled and then off to work. Y'all have a great day!

Happy Monday everyone! Raining but not as cool this morning (just think - it could have been snow). It has been so dry - no rain all month so we need it. And, since I have to work, I don't really care either.

...Any advice?

If it was me, I'd leave 'em home like you originally planned!

Good Morning, Y'all! A nippy 45 degrees this am when I went out to the gym. Still only 46. I think I'll leave the yard work for later, after it gets up to 60.

We decided to cancel our transatlantic and try to get on the Panama Canal instead. Today's the day, we find out if we got in.

Have a great day, everybody!

Good morning!

If anyone is interested, this blog features professional cakes that aren't, ummm, quite right.

http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/

Saturday was all pirate cakes with problems. On Sundays, she features beautifully done cakes - again, a pirate theme this week.

Just thought y'all might enjoy!

Good Morning Everyone. Pixie Dust to everyone!:cheer2:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Last day of summer. Hot and sunny today. Tomorrow rain and cold/cool front late afternoon.

So, I finally got serious last week about losing some weight. Mondays mornings I am weighing in. I lost 3 pounds last week!!! My goal is 2 pounds a week. I hope I can keep it up. I hope to lose 15 to 20 pounds by November 13. Gosh, that sure sounds like alot.

I don't feel like homeschooling today. :surfweb:

Have a Great DAY!

Frances
