I read the article about what happened with this guy and then some of the comments. They are truly hilarious, so I'm going Off Topic to brighten your day.

What happened : Man and Woman arguing on stateroom balcony. He threatened to jump, and she said, 'Go ahead,' and he did," passenger Marie McDonald tells Orlando's Local 6 News. "Then we heard the man screaming, 'Help! Help!"

Reader comments:

On the bright side, he was able to avoid Customs

This was part of Disney's "No passenger left behind" act!

He wanted the E-ticket ride

Did one of Disney's newly owned Marvel Comics heroes rescue the passenger?

This gives a whole new meaning to Disney's "Fast Pass"........

I have run up some horrible stateroom charges, but never high enough to skip out this way.

He saw one of the live shows and couldn't take it!

Actually, I can't blame the guy who jumped. I just don't understand why he waited so long. I think I'd have tried to make it to Mickey's Dinner Buffet too!

Disney then charged the passengers watching $19.95 as an entertainment fee.

I just heard the passenger's name was Mickey Mouse

Clearly the result of Disney's acquisition of Marvel. Now Disney the Disney Cruise Ship Wonder has become Wondership, Defender of the Seas!

I can think of easier ways to sail aboard a Disney ship.

Some people will do anything to get off a Carnival ship and on to Mickey's boat... can't say I blame him. :rolleyes1

Hmm, gonna have to post watches for those dasterdly Carnival intruders. No way are they getting in on our DOUBLE DIP DELIGHT!!!pirate:pirate:

Hi everyone. I'm back! Haven't posted lately, but have been keeping up. Starting to feel like bad mom because I am totally at a loss on the whole fish extender thing. First of all, I would have to acquire one (notice I did NOT say make one:lmao:). Then I would have to figure out what gifts to give. Then I would have to figure out how to get them to the ship. I can barely figure out how to get the 3 of us there with all of our own stuff. I would like to send a box to the ship, but all of my good ideas involve food and you can't send food to the ship. Then I would have to convince DH that there really is a good reason we are bringing an extra suitcase full of party favors across the entire country. I know DS would LOVE it immensely. How are you all handling the logistics of this?

P.S. - Glindamood: Please don't hate me because my dog looks like a skunk!

Gradysmommy on ebay is back, she is upposed to be the best fe maker. There are a few others on ebay too.
Hope this helps.:)

We are feeling a bit like slackers ourselves, but life is so busy nowadays, you gotta do what you can and not worry.

Just think,a few short weeks, a little more but, and we will all be Double Dipping:banana::banana:

What a cutie. That is definite puppy looking to me. And - it is the SMELL that I seem to be having issues with. Stinky.

Gifts - we are two 50-somethings that LOVE finding things in our FE, we will never grow up. I am mailing mine so not food related. You could mail clothing items and fill your suitcases with goodies - just another option.

Nine weeks from today I will be checking, double checking and then triple checking my list making sure that I have not forgotten anything. Nine weeks from tomorrow - MCO here we come!

After all our fair food talk a couple weeks ago, I thought I'd share this year's fried creations for the State Fair of Texas!

http://cbs11tv.com/food/Unique.Fried.Foods.2.1157330.html

I'm a little scared by the fact that I think I may have to try the fried butter!

That looks great!!!!!!!! I wonder if it tastes something like a biscuit? Looks yummy to me!!!

Denise's Daffy Disney Double-Dippers Do the Dolphins???

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Oh, that's excellent!!!!! I'll leave out the "Denise's" and maybe call it sometehing like Delirious Disney Double Dippers Do the Dolphins (I changed "daffy" because isn't Daffy Duck a Loony Tunes character.... the stupid people of the world might get confused -- like the cruise ship jumper below). I have a feeling I know what I'm going to be working on this weekend!!!

Sounds like everyone's good with the idea of getting together. Okay... let's do this. I have chat functionality on my website so we can use that. But then the question is when do we get together. Let's do this... everyone that wants to travel together, PM me with 3 or 4 days and times that are good for you over next week and through next weekend (the weekend of the 11th... my baby's birthday, by the way!). I'll figure out which time is good for the most number of people and will PM you back with the date and time and URL for where the chat is going to be. And if you can't make the date/time chosen you can give proxy for any decisions made to someone else that can attend. You can let that person know any constraints on your activities or anything like that and they can look out for your interests too during our chat. Does that sound like it'll work, y'all?

Long weekend for us too. We're off camping again...

Have a great time camping! You know there'll be 84,000 messages when you get back. :rotfl2:

These were hilarious!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!

First thing I thought of when I heard about him threatening to jump and her saying go ahead is that I can just hear me saying something like this. If someone's going to get so far gone (either in the argument or in the alcohol which likely fueled it) that they threaten to jump off a ship in the middle of the ocean, I'm going to figure that's natural selection and encourage that idiot to take themselves out of the gene pool pronto!

(y'all do remember that I'm not a nice person, right?)

Hi everyone. I'm back!
......
How are you all handling the logistics of this?

Great to see ya again! Don't feel like a bad mom. You're taking your kid on a Disney cruise!!!!!!!! Do you know how many cruises I went on when I was a kid? Um, yeah... zip! My first cruise was for my 41st birthday. So remember that you're giving your kid the ultimate fun to start with!!! :cool1:

Now, as for the FE, remember that they can be little trinkets. And it doesn't have to be a lot. My joy at finding something in my FE never came from the size of the item but was more about the thrill that someone thought of me and brightened my day. Maybe that'll help?

Good morning,
MCO Hyatt to Port to POFQ
I need your help!! I was going to book with Southern Elegance because they gave me the best quote way back in May but now they are telling me that they can't pick me up from the MCO Hyatt until 10:30. That would get us at port at around 12 (cause we'll be making a grocery stop) - this is too late - I'd like to be there at 10:30.....

There will be 8 of us (4 adults, 4 kids) so it definitely not worth it to use the DCL transfers. I know it would be cheaper to rent cars but we really don't want to drive..... any suggestions, PLEASE??!?!???

Thanks!!

Lisa

Have you considered driving? We always that that route as it is less expensive and we are in control. Budget is in the airport (some are not and I don't like having to get on a bus to get to the rental location if I can help it) but I am not sure about Avis. Both Budget and Avis are at the port and have shuttles to the ship. Then maybe you could keep your other two legs with your towncar service.

I used a towncar service once and for the life of me, I can't remember what it was called but I will think hard and let you know. They were very good and prompt when I asked for pickups.

Happy Friday everyone. I am off to the grocery so I don't have to go over the weekend.

Do you need to make dining changes or Palo reservations? If not, there really is no reason to get there that early. Last year we stayed at the Hyatt and got to the port around 11:30 using DCL transfers. This year we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and the DCL bus doesn't even pick us up until 11:45. That gives us time for breakfast at Chef Mickey's in the morning. If it is important to you to get there early though, I would rent a car.

Denise - I guess I won't feel too much like a slacker mom. This will be DS's 3rd 7 day cruise THIS YEAR! The kid will have logged 21 days at sea between his 3rd and 4th birthdays (with 3 days at Castaway Cay). Whenever we ask him where he wants to go, his answer is always "BIG CRUISE." I'm just wondering what he is going to expect next year! I can say that cruising with a 3 year old is the best way to vacation for all of us. Our cruise in May was on Carnival (swine flu bargain at $623.00 total for 3 of us on a brand new ship in a Spa Balcony stateroom 7 days to Victoria/Vancouver round trip out of LA). It would have cost us more to stay home! Why doesn't Mickey offer us a deal like that?

I think I'm going to bribe the old woman across the street to make my FE. She is actually an awesome seamstress. She makes high end draperies in her garage for a living. I think she can handle a FE. Now, if I could just figure out what to put in the others.....

Yeah, we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge the night before too. See you
there, or at least on the bus.
I am thrilled that we have extra time in the morning, gonna enjoy the pools:thumbsup2.

Gotta figure out if we are gonna do the Very Merry :santa:Christmas party at the MK that night or not. We have done it twice and loved it.
or we might go to Epcot.

Tough choices right!!:goodvibes

I'm one of those "first to the port" kind of people...:rotfl: I've already got my PALO reservations, etc. and I know I'll be waiting around to board. I just won't be able to relax until we are there and I can start my vacation.... (does that make sense :confused3??)

As for car rental - too much stress for me. I know it's cheaper but I've already organized everything else for this trip for both families - I don't want to have to do this as well - hence, the car service.

Thanks for your input though!!

Try asking for some car service recommendations on the transportation board.

2 months from today we will be flying to WDW.:banana::banana:

While it totally sucks that summer is over and the days are getting shorter, at least we'll be doing Disney in November!!

We're heading to Great Wolf Lodge for the weekend with some friends. I'll definitely be getting my exercise by repeatedly climbing up 6 flights of stairs to get to the top of the water slides. :crazy2:

Becky - you have an awesome time at GWL! I have never been to one but there is one less than an hour from here - could be I need to give that a try.

Lisa - I sent you a PM with the name of the car company. Good luck finding a replacement.
