Kids going back to school next week, but why do I feel so down????:confused::confused::confused::confused:

bad vibes,my bad:guilty::guilty::guilty:

Congatulation's Denise,:cheer2: This is what happens when your gone for two day's you come back with 3 new page's and excitement. I hope you enjoy this job and we will see you on the dbl dip in just 2 months. nc money's aunt. known as Tiggggrnc. I'm packed and ready to walk out the door.

Because the kid's will be in school, and back to the old stuff mommy I need this and that run me here and there. And the house will be empty for a bit.

Are you as excited about the CA residence discount when the Magic move to LA in 2011 as I am? Although not crazy about the Mexican cruises, but if the discount is awesome, I'd just go and stay on the ship!!!

I would love to see a CA resident rate when she moves out here! However, I'm with you, Mexico cruises are not on the top of my list...now if it was a special sailing to Alaska or Hawaii, I would be all over it!

Who's all booking while onboard? What's the process exactly? Can you book for friends and relatives?:surfweb: Finished FE gifts for all the kids this weekend. Moving on to the adults and teens. I did make several extras...:lmao:don't you think we may still have more people join?

I was just over on the Boatswain's website and did not see about the free transportation. Can you point me to where it said that?

Although, public bus is only a few dollars, It's a few block walk to the depot from the pier, and I am very slow. (That's how I'd get to 7-mile beach, too, if I was going there. Buses run about every 15 minutes in that direction)

Nativeway is a good company. My dh & the other husband in our party went with them to Stingray city in 2004 and had a blast!

For the Free Transportation go to the website and click on Experience in the first box, then click on Purchase tickets. The sentance with the Free Transportation is right under where they say 20% off. Hope this makes sense.

Thank you! Perfect sense. Musta been the one button I didn't push, lol.

Booking oh board is easy peasy. Talk with the booking agent on deck 4, or fill out the form and drop it in the box and she will call you within a day.

You CAN book for friends and relatives, and they will get whatever the current offer is (for example shipboard credit). You need their exact names, birthdates and credit card information. Category of cabin, and cruise they wish. Their credit cards *will* be charged the amount of the deposit.

If you wish to use a travel agent, have the agency name and address and Disney will transfer it to them for you.

I notice on the Secret mickey page in the spreadsheet many people seem to read Dan Brown, James Patterson, John Grisham. My DH does also, plus Jack Higgins and some other guy. any interest in a book exchange?

Clive Cussler is a great writer with many sea adventures too!!! I personally can't put his books down till the end.

I love the others you mentioned too.

Good taste!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info lindababe...I think we are going to book another for 2012! I don't know how to function without a trip or two on the back burner! I think we are doing a book exchange, one for adults and one for kids if I remember correctly...someone jump in. Who's in charge?

OK, I'll have dh pack the books by those authors. He just finished a Cussler, too. We're going to need a wheelbarrow for the luggage. TG We have a van:rotfl:

Thanks for the encouragement. I agree, empty house, except dog & cat, fish. but I love the pets
And the cruise is so desperatly needed by us.:dumbo:, no vacation this summer. It rained all June & July up here.

To set the record straight, IM stay at home dad. I was forced to retire when I hurt my back. I sometimes sub at the school or volunteer for something.

I get to stand at the bus stop with 10 other Moms and the conversations are hilarious, but I make a bee line home when they start talking about the latest episode of housewives or dancing with the stars:eek:.
I do all the mom stuff, driving here, there, everywhere, Lunch,Homework, Dr. appts, etc. Plus I cook too!!!
But all in all we feel blessed that we are lucky enough to have a parent at home for the kids.:littleangel:

Irish Belle is the 9-5 er, actually 8 till hopefully sometime before midnight.:sad1:

So I guess she needs the cruise most of all:flower3:

No worries. It probably is the kids going back. The last year I had to purchase crayons, scissors, glue and all that sort of thing, I was thinking yippee - my last year of having to do that. So, that next year I was in the store and on my way to purchase something totally unrelated, cut through that aisle and the gates opened - cried right there in Meijers! Had to leave without whatever it was.

It is the unexpected things that always get me. I didn't cry and Nick's wedding - but I did at the rehearsal. Just goes to show how truely wacky I really am.

The news on Secret Mickey's has finally arrived. Sandiegosusie and I have talked (well, typed) and this is what we have come up with.

1. SM is open to adults - assignments will be made ladies to ladies and the guys to guys.

2. At least three deliveries should be made with a total $$ amount to be spent around $35.00 (that is total for all gifts).

3. Hypermommy added a tab on our group spreadsheet - if you wish to participate, please fill out a line and add anything you think helpful in additional columns. Better yet, if we have missed something, let me know and I can add a column specifically for the subject.

4. Those of you with guaranteed rooms, please let us know once you get your cabin number. Those that choose to upgrade at the port, call my cabin so that I can get the info to your SM.

5. The cutoff for participation is 10/20. That will give us time to make the connections and let everyone know who their SM is by the end of October.

6. The "reveal" will take place at our group lunch in Lumiere's on Thursday. If you can't attend, please let your SM know who you were.

Well, I think that covers it. Any questions - please let me know. I can't wait!

Please don't forget to sign up for Secret Mickey's (think Secret Santa). And, those of you that already have, take a quick look out on the spreadsheet as there are several new columns on our tab.

Check your fares - we saved $20 today because of a fare drop. You receive the difference back as funds available for future purchases.

Good luck!!

Good Morning!

LOVELY day in the neighborhood! DH has gone for a bike ride, I went to the gym already.

Happy Day, all!

Kev-
My DH is a SAHD too! He's awesome with the kids. He also cooks and cleans way better than me. I'm good at dialing the phone for take out. I think he's probably a better SAH parent than I ever could be. :) Where in CT are you? I lived near Manchester (near Hartford) for a few years. And my best friend is in Tolland (near UConn). We're in a suburb of Atlanta now. My DH can't wait to meet another SAHD, they are very few and far between here also, definitely mostly women.

I'm one too! But only for today, and only because I'm lazy. (next job starts tomorrow). But I'm living it up today, for sure :thumbsup2.
