The Palo Brunches went extremely fast. I wonder if the allottment just went that fast, or Disney held out more than usual? I'm going to try in the morning to see if I can change it.

If anyone DID get a 10:30am Brunch, hopefully we can link to yours and book the big room in Palo.

All done! We got everything that we wanted. :woohoo: A palo brunch reservation and a couples massage.

No Palo brunch here... none were available at all. Only dinner was left. I went ahead and grabbed that. I'm gonna keep trying to change it and I don't know if we'll end up keeping it. We'll just see.

I did get the zipline for EM#1, but I had to put KC on that ressie too as the system wouldn't let me do it without an adult. It's only another $75 we have to come up with. Hopefully the Fla resident rates will come out on this cruise before long and we can get that rebate from Mickey.

Got the Wild Side booked for the kids. I'm very proud of EM#1. He had sucha great time with this last time and he's bound and determined that he's going to treat his brother to this since brother's now old enough for the Stack. I'm so proud of him.

Well... it is what it is... and what it is now is time for bed. :scared1: G'night all!

Well, I decided to use Apple Safari, and I was on, but all Palo brunch for Monday was gone. I got brunch for Thursday at 11 am. 10:30 was showing avail, but when I clicked it wasn't anymore. I snagged a dinner as well. I decided to splurge and also a reserved a couple cabana massage for my birthday. I can't believe Monday brunch was all gone. I was in by 12:01 and I thought it was moving fast, guess not.
Hope everyone got what they want. I'm off to bed.

Drats! I kept getting an error message regarding the number of people in our party...no matter what I did it wouldnt let me snag a brunch! We did get a dinner, but not the time I wanted. No problem with spa or nursery. I will just have to get to the ship early so I can be first in line for palos.

I was on really fast and they did'nt have any 10:30 brunch open at all. ?

I know it will all work out.

Good night all and I hope you got everything you wanted!
Cynthia

WOW What a relief!
Being in England I had to set my alarm for 4:30 AM to make sure I was up and ready to go by 5.
First thing I tried for was brunch of course and was able to get an 11:00 on monday. :yay:
It's always so hard to pick which night to do Palo dinner though. You never want to miss any of the regular dinners. I decided on wed which I "think" is Pirate night. Although the new menu still looked good it looked as thought it might have been my least fav of the 7.
Here's to hoping you all got your wishes and if not...you'll still be on the MAGIC! :yay:

I wonder if that had anything to do with why I didn't even see a brunch available for any day whatsoever... maybe with only 2 of us eligible for Palo the system it decided it wasn't going to tie up a table?

Update:
You know that might just be it. Because I just went back in there to check reservations and it shows Brunch and Tea as "reservations unavailable" and Dinner as "Reservations available for parties of 1 or 2".

Oh well... like I've said all along... if we don't get Palo for Monday brunch then there's always the Lumiere's Luncheon on Thursday (?).

They probably had a very few. I too could only reserve for parties of 1 or 2. I got on at 12:01 and the only option left was for Thursday 11 am. I did grab, and we'll try to change for Monday on board. This still have dinner available this morning. Wasn't I supposed to be sleeping in? DH went on the patio to read the paper, so I heard the kids when they all woke up and he did not guess I'll go get them breaksfast.

I'll go in and update spreadsheet with what I got later on. Have a great day everyone.

I too logged on at midnight. I got everything I was requesting (Did not try Palo at all....) now I have a few more questions. Has anyone gone on the Fury catamaran sail/dive in Cozumel? I would love to know if we should stick with our res. or switch to the 3 reef dive in Cozumel. Also, does anyone know exactly which night Pirate Night is? My mom and I were debating between Wednesday and Thursday. I am too lazy to search through my scrapbooking things to find our past Navigators.........:cool2:

I seem to remember it being Wednesday, but that's just a memory and you know how that can be -- especially with me! :rotfl2:

Time to get ready for church... think I should pray for Palo?

So TD#4 formed in the Gulf of Mexico yesterday. Looks like it's going to head west of us but you never know with these things. I'll be watching the weather today and getting my own personal weather man to watch it carefully too. He's amazing with weather and usually pegs the forecast much better that the meterologist.

It's Wednesday-the day of Cozumel. Can't help you with excursions. The only one we have ever done was the horseback riding. Last time we just had lunch at the restaurant we liked and walked around and got the almond tequila my DH likes. Last time we were there we still had to tender because the dock wasn't ready from the hurricane. So, it took awhile to tender back and forth.

So, this is the time I get tense thinking what things I don't have ready now. I guess this is a good time to take inventory on stuff from last year now. I usually have a large ziploc with all our important docs in there, need to update with current policies and such. I usually have a bin together of hurricane supplies, but emptied it b/c we needed a bin for cub scouts camping. We're on the water, so we are usually the first ones to evacuate. I agree when you say you don't know what's going to happen with those hurricanes. We were all set to evacuate last year for 6am, but 5am advisory came on and said we were going to be fine. That's the one that cut across and hit the Daytona area I believe. We have had a couple of close calls, but you guys in the panhandle have had alot. I went thru most recently Katrina and Wilma. My parents went thru Andrew. I had left the day before to go back to college.

Anyway-enough hurricane talk and back to cruise planning.

Good morning all,

Thankfully we did well with ressies last night, although there was something funky going on when I first tried to do Palo, right after midnight. It kept telling me there was something wrong with the number in my party (as someone else in a previous post said). It then kicked me out for over a half an hour, and I was really getting worried I wouldn't get anything at all. I had my computer on with 3 tabs open, and DH had his Apple Safari going on his Mac. Between us we did get the Palo times, spa times and excursions we wanted. (Hypermommy: we got Pirate Emma into the Wild Side on Sunday, and she's really looking forward to it!)

Given all my good fortune in the wee hours of this morning I should have gotten my lazy self out of bed today for church but I'm not worth much the next day when I stay up too late, and I just couldn't be up, dressed, fed and out the door by 7:15 a.m. -- but I did do an awful lot of praying last night/this morning, so maybe I made up for it a little bit... Oh well, we don't miss often... Sounds good, right...? :guilty:

Have a great day everyone!

I went on the Fury Catamaran Sail and Snorkle in Cozumel in 2007, if that's what you were asking about. I was very happy with that enterprise - clean, professional, and the trip was a good value for what we paid, IMO. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about it.

Yeah, I slept in this morning too. I logged in at 12:00, and all the brunches were available except the Monday at 10:30. We were planning on going Thursday anyhow, since we wanted kind of a romantic brunch, so I picked up the 10:30 on Thursday. I got the tea, and dinner. I booked our Tulum Ruins tour, along with the snorkeling in GC, and a couple of spa reservations I wanted as well. I was a very happy camper last night, but I'm sorry that it didn't work out that way for everyone. :sad2:

Has anyone been bold enough to book at noon return flight out of MCO? I'm checking the Jet Blue fares, and I'm tempted....can't choose between that and our last hurrah night at AKL, which I've already gotten a pretty good rate on.

You take care Fivepin. I usually joke and make light of the whole hurricane thing but I have a healthy respect for the power involved in these storms.

Cool!!! We got the kids on TWS on Sunday. 9:00 AM. They're gonna have a blast.

Great. I talked to my DH and he is definitely interested, so let us know what you find out. He will have his own snorkle and mask, but will need to rent the rest of the gear.

I vote for the Make Mine a Double.

Here is the additional info provided by Aqua Adventures: "The 40us include tank, bcd, regulator, weights and snorkel gear if needed. A divemaster will be with you at all times. There are no set schedules for diving, that is why it is better to make reservations in advance. The price is for 1 tank; the second dive would cost 21us. Thanks again and let me know if you want to go ahead with the reservation."

We were on at 9:01 (thanks to our friend's Palm Pre that worked at the campsite) and the website gave me a choice of brunch, tea, and dinner. I selected brunch at 11:30 on Monday (closest thing to 10:30) and waited, and waited and waited. About 4 minutes later, it came back saying it was unavailable. So I went back to the main page and the only thing available for dinner?! So disappointed but at least we had a dinner reservation. Sure glad we didn't drive 30 minutes to a wifi hot spot and not get a reservation!

I've sent you a PM about this.

The biggest issue with MCO is the security screening lines. They are pretty long in the morning. On our last trip we left the ship around 8:30 and were at the airport in plenty of time for a noon flight if we had one. We also took the Disney transportation and used the on-board flight check in so we didn't have to handle our luggage and had our boarding passes. The boarding passes are delivered to your stateroom the night before you get off the Magic.

We actually got a day room at the Hyatt because our flight was at 5pm. That allowed us to swim at the pool (the kids got a kick out of the airplanes flying above) and have a private place to chill out.

Our flight this trip is a 12:50, my plan is to try to get off around the same time and go straight to security since we are going to do the on-board check in again.
