Does anyone have a recommendation on where to buy FE? I am hopelessly bad with the sewing machine, so making my own is not an option. I checked Ebay - there's only one seller and I didn't like any of her designs. Help anyone?

Ebay would have been my suggestion but keep watching as I have seen different people list theirs. Also, watch in the dollar store type places to see if one comes up - the original was purchased there I think. Mine was made by someone on our 11 night southern on the Wonder several years ago. Someone crafty type person needs to come up with a pattern that can be put together with fabric glue for all us non-sewers.

Pig-n-Ford races? Is that like a greasy pig catch?

It's an interesting concept. The Fords are built on Model-T chassis, with the crank start. They line the Fords up at the starting line and the drivers stand up against the far wall of the track. On the near wall of the track are bins that contain....small pigs. On the go, the drivers run across the track, grab a pig, run back to their Ford, crank start it, jump in, and drive off around the track. At the end of the first lap, they stop in front of the bin, put the pig back, pick up another one, crank start the car, and drive off for a 2nd lap. They do 3 laps. First one back at the end of 3 laps and gets his pig in the bin wins. FYI, no pigs were harmed in the running of the race. :rotfl2:

I wouldn't begin to know how to create a pattern for it but I did use hot glue with mine and I'll tell you one thing... at the end of the week, the thing was coming apart in places. I went down to guest services and borrowed a stapler and made it work for the rest of the cruise.

I guess fabric glue is something different? (see how much I know)

If it helps, I'll get it out this weekend (been asking KC to do that but he knows I have to do the project instead) and measure it and put together some directions on how to make one. Not that I really know what I'm doing but I can fold fabric into squares and rectangles and I can be a demon with a hot glue gun.

I bought mine from a fellow diser through ebay. I think a bunch of ladies have bought from her. Let me find her info and I'll PM you.

Thanks for the offer but I know I'm not even going to ATTEMPT doing it myself...

Cool - thanks!

I have a new problem... our family is camping next weekend. That means no internet access when reservations opens on Friday night!!! :scared1: DH said the closest internet hot spot is 30-minutes away. What do you think? Make that drive or wait til Sunday night?

You're asking US whether or not to make the drive to make your cruise ressies??? I'd guess the vote would be 100% yes.:rotfl: So, here's what I did back in June when the camping trip started on the same day that Southwest released their November flights.... I sent them without me and made our flight ressies. It really was an easy decision since this 50 year-old body does NOT sleep on the ground anymore. By golly, I have EARNED the right to sleep in a bed. I told DH that he needed some daddy/daughter time and mommy needed some alone time. :cloud9:

So, back to the matter at hand. Can you give your login info and reservation list to a good friend and have them log-in for you at 9 pm and make your ressies for you? If you have cell service out there, then they could call you as they log in and you can talk them through it and make sure that you get what you want.

Am I confused? I thought ressies opened SATURDAY night at midnight pacific time? NOT that i'm getting up for them. I'll either get what I want on the ship, or I won't.

There ARE directions for a fish extender made with fabric glue, but if you really CAN't make one - which I don't believe for one minute ;-) - maybe search for "locker pockets" or locker organizer. You can always decorate it Disney style.

It's really not that hard. I'm not trying to convince you or anything but believe me, if I can do it, anyone can. Susie Homemaker I am definitely NOT!!! :rotfl2:

Well, in addition to the reservation making issues that MouseMom spoke of there's also this thread to consider. I can't even begin to iMAGine what traffic on our thread will be like next week. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I thought it was midnight eastern, not Pacific. It was the last time I needed to make ressies anyway. Because I will be napping and getting up about 11:45 tonight to get the computer warmed up etc. to make our Ahoy St. Croix ressies.

I bought mine from there from "Gradysmommy". She a fellow diser. I'll post the ones I got from her. I had to keep checking to see if you had stuff for sale. She was great at custom making them. I had done one with a friend with a beauty and the beast theme, and that choice wasn't listed on any of her auctions. I asked and she did it.

I know on the FE thread there are some instructions-sewing and non sewing versions I believe. I can totally relate-I can't sew. Maybe the non sewing version. People say it's not worth the $25-30, but for someone like me who can't sew and would have gotten so frustrated, it worth saving my insanity.:)

I'm going to try to find out for sure. My computer will be on and ready to go. My son will not like hearing all the tapping away. (The computer desk is in his room) I'll be drinking coffee or whatever it takes to stay awake. Last time I didn't stay up, and got up at 5 am-I didn't get Palo brunch. That is not happening this time. I was able to get the brunch onboard once I went to go see my buddy PJ.
Still gotta make my final payment on Monday with my TA. I waited for the credit card cut off so we would have another month of float time.

Thanks everyone for popping into the workbook and making the relevant changes for your family. I can't imagine how difficult this would be to manage in an "old school" way. Thank goodness for Google docs! LOL

Wonder what kind of equipment you get when you go reek snorkeling :confused3:confused3 Sorry - I will go fix that as it was me. Duh. And honest - I had nothing to drink before that either.

I am 100% certain that the DCL reservation system opens up for shore excursion/Palo bookings at 12:00am on the east coast and 9:00pm on the west coast.

Glad that is resolved. I am sure that is what I did last year (get up at midnight easterm) to book our ressies.

Bet you spell better when you have a drinkiepoo or two, huh?
:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1

I'm listening to MouseWorld radio and guess what song just came on? "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad King"! (at least that's how I sing it) Maybe I'll make up some new lyrics before we get on the cruise -- make up some new lyrics to Disney songs and do them for kareoke!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Usually my fingers just get ahead of each other but that was the wrong finger on the wrong hand. No, most everything gets worse after a drink or two, not better.

I normally am just a reader to these threads but I just wanted to thank all you for just making me smile! :) You guys are great! I love to think that there are others out there who live to make plans for the cruise. Note: I am only on page 75 of your wonderful plans but from what I read so far everyone is going to have a blast.

My family is looking forward to the double dip as on our first cruise (March 2008) we didn't get to go the Castaway Cay due to high winds.

Mousemom11 - I take about 11 books for a 7 day vacation and you are welcome to mine anytime. However, my romances books are trend towards historical.

I guess we'll just have to find out together, won't we? :rotfl2:
