i just wanted to say :thanks: to binky1,maryAz,and Hypermommy for wishing me a happy birth day. I'm so sorry all that we haven't been on for the past few days ( doesn't include the 13th) but our computer was acting funky so my dad had to fix it :badpc: i hope you all understand and I'm :cheer2::cheer2: :cheer2: ing for the 1 year count down :) this is for the nana lovers:banana:

I know I can't be the only one, so who else is playing the 'what will I be doing exactly one year from now' game. Will you be lifting weights 12 ounces at a time? Strolling the decks? Enjoying a show? I have been busy practicing for the first two and can see myself doing exactly that for most of our ship-board time. What about the rest of you guys?

Um, YEAH!!! Of course, everything this week will be "Next year at this time, we'll be........"

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!!!!

Your Countdown Time is 0 years, 11 months and 29 days.

Your Countdown is also exactly 364 days.

Your Countdown is also approximately 8,736 hours.

Your Countdown is also approximately 524,160 minutes.

Your Countdown is also approximately 31,449,600 seconds.

If we change it to weeks from today - 52, I will be at breakfast maybe. Didn't have to pack 'last night' and get to STAY ON THE SHIP. Sorry, at some point my grinning may stop, or not...

Today is the first day of hunting season here in Michigan. I heard a shot earlier. Deer have been very active all week - except for the one I ran over on my way to work the other day. YUKOOOO. The semi headed the other direction got it first but there was absolutely nothing I could do about it other than what I did. Didn't hurt my car so I am grateful.

I am going to finish my spring cleaning this weekend - just won't tell you what year the spring was in! The bedroom just keeps getting the door closed and that is going to come to a halt today. Except I make such a mess in the meantime. And I guess I can now pack my summer stuff away without any worries.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Love the countdown!!!!!! And am actually loving all your references to not having to pack, get on board, etc, etc. Personally, I think that Mousemom11 should recruit you to make sure we have a wonderful location set up for our Dismeet on Sat! Y'all could decide on the location before we go and then it could be up to you to go stake it out and make sure no one overruns OUR spot! I'll let you two decide if you want to work that out.

I guess I should be careful with thoughts like these, though, huh? One of my DISbuddies accused me (jokingly) of stalking, since I seem to have taken over the thread or something. Hope y'all don't mind but whenever I have ideas I'm just so used to throwing them out there. :cool1: :rotfl2:

Sorry to hear about the deer. Glad to know it didn't mess up your car. I've seen what they can do to cars and it's definitely not pretty.

Yeah, spring cleaning! Love that thought (and no, I won't ask what year). :rotfl2:

I've got to get busy creating a few kits. I'm so far behind I'm sure I'll be here at the computer all day working on this. Good thing I enjoy doing it! :rotfl2:

Can't leave without leaving these for my girls, though.

I would be more than happy to stake out a spot for a DIS meet so offer up suggestions and I will do it. I will take my direction from Mousemom11. Places in my past cruises have been Deck 10 above the Goofy pool, back by the drink station on deck 9 and in the Promenade Lounge. I am up for any other options or suggestions as well. We have a bit of time (yeah, just a week or two :lmao: ) to decide.

For what it's worth, my thoughts (yes, you can all go to sleep now).

Deck 10 sounds great. Promenade Lounge worked great on our last cruise. I would think Deck 9 by the drink station would get a bit crowded and it might be hard to tell who's with us or whatever.

But those are just my thoughts for what they're worth (and in this economy who knows how much they'll be devalued). I'll leave it up to you and Mousemom11 (and I sure wish I could remember her actual name ;-))

My thoughts on Pros and Cons -

Promenade Lounge is typically not crowded at all but, it is inside (the only advantage to that is if it is raining in my opinion) but, no crowds sure is it.

Deck 10 - there is a spot aft on the starboard side - I think that is correct - that would be out of traffic but, if it is raining or if it is hot, there is no shade up there, there or anywhere on deck 10. But, if we met above any of the pools, again, children could be swimming.

Deck 9 - I had really thought that was an odd spot but it really worked out well, especially if we had parents with kids in the pool as they were right there. We were "inside" the walkway and other than it was a tighher spot, it worked well.

So, we will be doing WHAT on our Sunday on the cruise? Do we know the ashore and aboard times for CC Sunday? I read a few trip reports and saw that they had an early ashore and aboard time (like midafternoon, 2:30 or 3:00 maybe). My plans for CC include the bar and my favorite drink (konk koolers) and probably Serenity Bay.

Sounds like paradise - as we have SNOW out the window this morning. The deck is covered and most of the grass. I am so not ready for winter.

Enjoy your Sunday - I get to take youngest DS back to college (Alma), and work more on that "spring cleaning" project which I didn't do to well with yesterday.

OK , Gail you talk about hitting a deer. :scared1: How about a deer hitting you. Two weeks ago that"s what happened to me on my way to work. :sad2: It knocked off the right side mirror and dented the back door. This Wednesday the car goes to the shop. One less thing I have to worry about. And the spring cleaning hasn't stopped for me yet. I feel like the cruise is three months away not eleven. There is not enough time......:yay: :woohoo: :yay: ( Kim )

Glad you are OK and your car wasn't too bad. My DH had a deer hit his car - totaled. My oldest DS hit one last November - totaled his car. They make such a mess - which sounds very cold but what else can I say. I just wish they would stay out of the road!

Just got home from taking Drew (youngest) back to school. The weather and roads were a bit "dicey" on the way down and good (except for maybe 5 miles) on the way home - glad to be home though. And I even saw a salt truck - or maybe sand. Hope we don't get much overnight. Is it spring yet???

A year from now we will be at Sea.....
The girls we be having a blast in the clubs and I will be in a lounger with a DOTD in my hand.... :cool1:

Back to reality, have to go unload the dishwasher

Um, yeah, save me a seat (oops, forgot, you're not supposed to do that:rolleyes: )...

I'll do the snack run.....

And now back to reality, unloading the groceries and changing the beds ..... where oh where is my cabin steward?!?!?!?

Yeah, I'm gonna be right beside you too doing EXACTLY the same thing.

But for now I guess the best we can do is put our backs against the dishwasher and listen to the sounds of the rushing water and pretend it's the waves lapping against the side of the beautiful ship.

It's funny to read on this thread about snow and how cold the weather has been. It's down right HOT in Southern California. And with the wild fires, the air quality has been awful. We celebrate DD's birthday yesterday at Pump It Up and all the parents were so thankful to have a fun place INDOOR for the kids to play. We live about 3 miles from the beach and 30 miles from the fires, but the smoke from the mountains have migrated. We even have ashes in our backyard.

OMG - I hope that you and yours are safe and sound. Stay indoors (I would be the snow member of this group and am following that same advice, just different reasons) and out of that smoke. I can not even imagine... Prayers to everyone.
