Hello fellow Dis'ers
Just off the Magic today. Miss her already. Where is that darn sad icon?? Our 4 year old had a blast but sailing with our 20 month old was a bit challenging. Looking forward to her going to the Kids CLub for this one. We are in a cat 6 on deck 6. Did not get Palo ressies this time but I had an awesome pedicure in the spa. I am also a big planner and loved the fish extender exchange. We came home with an extra suitcase full of fun stuff. Looks like a great group!!

DDs 5 and a half and 3 at time of cruise-Dh coming too!!

Hi Mary,
My friend (4campers) just got off the Magic today also. She was over the top with excitement to tell me everything...she said that everyone in the dis group was great and fun to get to know! Looking forward to planning this one with everyone!

Welcome MaryAZ,
We travelled with our DD 18 mos. last time and yes, it was a bit of a challenge too. I got paged while we were at Palo that she was having a meltdown in Flounders so I raced down there and then had another mother peek in the door so she wouldn't see me :rotfl2: . By that time she had settled back down so I raced back upstairs to finish off my Cosmopolitan - in our picture I'm looking a little flushed!! I am so looking forward to her going to the Club (she'll be 4 at the time of sailing).

Can't wait!!

Welcome Mary!

I was not so brave as you. My youngest were 5 on our first family cruise. My boys still can't seem to make it through a show without falling asleep and forget about pirate night. We went with late seating for dinner this time(I would rather they miss dinner than miss all the shows) They will not take naps--tried that.

We booked this too! So far we have five friends going! We have a sister pair, and Mom / daughter pair, and a very fabulous friend!:cool1:

We are all first time Disney cruisers. So so excited.......

Welcome disneydizzy2,
Your first disney cruise - you are going to become addicted!! :lmao: :lmao:

By the way, the planning is half the fun!! (Right, sandiegosusie?!?!)

Cheers,

We are already having a girls planning night tomorrow! I ordered the Passporter's Disney Cruise Line and can't wait to read it. We are having margarita's and watching the Dsiney Cruise DVD at my sisters house. Jeez! What will we do for the next year and a half!

Um, yeah, let's see... you'll think about decorating your door, making door magnets/cruise signs, think about fish extenders, how to plan your Palo reservations, thinking if you'll spend money in the Spa and of course, if you are anything like me, keep checking back here to see if anyone has posted something new.....

Can you tell I suffer a little from OCPD (obsessive compulsive planning disorder)?!?:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Have a margarita for me!!

In another thread, someone was joking about how they thought it was a little absurd to be planning for a Aug'09 trip - I guess we won't tell them about us!!:cool1: :cool1:

Okay - chiming in - I'm disneydizzy2's sister who will also be on this cruise and it is my first cruise ever! Only you people here can imagine how excited I am.:woohoo:

My first thought when looking at the Disney cruises was how much I wanted to go to Castaway Cay--so when we saw this double dip, we were hooked:banana:

Our friends are climbing aboard, we might scare them with magnets and fish extenders, but hey, we two are the Disney nuts in this group and they will just have to Disney up! We've actually got some of them pretty Disney minded already (they just got back from DL and loved it)

Looking forward to being a part of this dis group!:cool1:

Welcome, dzy76!
I saw your posting on another thread and I was going to invite you to come on over but I see you figured it out for yourself!!

Yes, we can get a little over excited but really, there's nothing wrong with that now, is there?!?:rotfl2:

How was your margarita night??:drinking1 :drinking1

Cheers,

lol Some people book trips 2 yrs out. DH is already working on door magnets for this cruise. We also have 6 kids so it won't be the first time someone thought we were "absurd"

Thanks binky1. Our evening was fun, got more drinking and laughing done than cruise planning. Did manage to watch most of the free Cruise DVD from Disney. Our friends just got back from Disneyland so had to watch a slide show of their pictures, it was great. We love Disneyland.

What are the door magnets for? Are they actually magnets? Are the doors metal? Gees, I'm such a cruise rookie!

Drinking and laughing are always good!!

The door magnets are one way of identifying yourself as a DISer and also another easy way of finding your door.

I'm making a bunch. My BIL and his family are travelling with us so I'm making them some too. Things like First Family Cruise, pirate mickey heads, etc.

Check out this thread and you'll see the kind of stuff that people put on their doors.

I can make some for others but you'll kinda have to live with what I make (cause I'm not THAT graphically inclined). Send me a PM if you are interested!

Ok. Starting to get the picture:hyper: and it looks like fun! I'm not overly creative, but I bet my sister and I could come up with something fun over the next 15 months! Thanks for the offer to help binky1. We'll definately call on you if we need to!::yes::

Hi!!! We're coming!!!! We couldn't resist the siren song of two days at Castaway Cay along with only half the deposit being due right now!

It's me (Michelle, 37 when we cruise), my Mom (Vicki, 58 when we cruise) and my aunt (Eve, 53-ish).

Welcome, welcome - see I told you we wouldn't bite!!

Have fun planning!!

Cheers,

Someone had asked about posting pictures... You want to upload the pictures to Photobucket or some similar program (I've found photobucket easiest to use).

For Photobucket, once the pictures are in, you can resize them and one of the options is for messageboards. :) After you've saved the resize, click once in the field behind "IMG Code" - this copies the code needed. Then, in your message here on the Dis, just right click and paste:

Voila!! Picture in your post!

(and for good measure - a picture of us crazy people joining y'all on the cruise! Vicki on the left, Michelle in the middle and Eve on the right)

I hope this info helps!!

Thanks for the info!! I can't seem to get the logo a nice size - I'm going to keep working on it.

You 3 make some fine pirate wenches!!

Cheers,
Lisa (aka Binky1)
