Oh, that sounds soooooooo wonderful! All we're getting is cold (well, 53 is cold for us) and overcast with a bit of rain this morning. Boring and bummer!

You are invited for a visit - sending it your way would not be a good idea, I have been in Florida when it gets icy and you have no way to move it out of the way and take care of things so whenever, you just let me know. We are getting 2 - 4 tonight and 5 - 7 tomorrow. Grocery store for me tonight and I hope things clear up in the afternoon so we can get to Alma.

From reading some of the current trip reports that travelled at the same time as we will be next year, I think they may actually be going up while we are on our cruise. Wouldn't that be great!!!

Hi all. Just checking in with some random thoughts that have been keeping the tiny pea spinning circles in my skull.

I am sure that DCL SHOULD eliminate fuel surcharges. With the price of a barrel of oil back below 50 bucks (lowest in 3 1/2 years), I don't see how they can justify continuing to tack on an EXTRA fuel charge. If it is still part of your bill, ask them to remove it!

I also wanted to organize (move over Hypa) all the cigar smokers for a group puff up on deck nine after stopping in Grand Cayman. Some of the best cigars on this side of the world are legally sold in several shops along the tourist strip near the docks. On our other cruise I was living the life swigging champagne and smoking Cuban cigars that Tues. night, and thought it would be fun to do it again. Even though we are on a 'beer' budget this time, I do plan on burning a few while keeping my soft sided rolling cooler nearby. I expect to be there after second seating dinner, around 10 pm. Anybody interested in stopping by to join me?

Oh how I wish it would snow here, even though this ex New Yawker sure doesn't miss shoveling or driving in it. It is more of a greed thing with me; I still have a couple hundred dollars worth of split oak firewood lying around that I can't seem to sell. Still left over from LAST year. I guess I sold too much last year and most everybody I sold to still has leftover wood. I'm sure a few inches of powder would fatten my wallet. For some strange reason folks here see little need for it when the evenings low temp of 35 or lower happens only 20 or so days a year. But gosh, I do love Florida weather!!

More snow here - KC, you are more than welcome to come for a visit as is anyone wanting to see snow. If it keeps up, there will be no trip to Alma as they don't keep up with the roads on the weekends, no fun in that.

We have no cigar smokers here but will participate in the FE, white elephants and would love to do a secret mickey again.

I have to go do laundry so if we do get out this afternoon to Alma, my "dress jeans" will be clean and dry.

I'll get KC to nail down a time and place and post something on our board about it. Sounds like it could be fun. But then again, maybe this would be a good time for our "girls night out" and let the guys have their cigars and brandy ... oh, that's right... it's beer. It was Rhett's people that would retire for cigars and brandy. And, of course, Scarlett would be not taking a nap. LOL

As for the snow visits, if I thought I could get away with it (in terms of cost and time off from work) I'd be right there on your doorstep tomorrow! Hope you'll be posting some pictures in our gallery for me to drool over!

I will see what I can do. We have decided not to go to Alma for the soccer banquet - we are now in the middle of a winter storm warning and travel is not wise since they don't really plow on the weekends - or much anyway.

OK, back to pre-decorating cleaning.

Well, we weren't charged the fuel surcharge in the first place so no extra $$$ for us. DARN!!! But I must say that DU was EXTREMELY helpful and communicative. I didn't even ask them about it and they sent us 3 e-mails keeping us up to date, etc. Great customer service!!

Um, glindamood, aren't you supposed to clean up after you decorate?!?!?! My front hall is a sea of blue Rubbermaid tins, spilling over with decorations and tiny little bits of garland all over the floor. And to top it off, I'm still in my pj's.

It's cold and snowy here too - Hypermommy, if I could, I'd send you some!!
