I guess I better update the spreadsheet.

Thanks!!!!!

The article even says, the additions will be ready "Next Summer".

Oh yeah... I don't think it will affect us... just thought it was something folks would like to know. Sorry if I made it sound like it would affect our cruise.

I'm leaning towards a facial, since I have a massage every 2 weeks already.

Oh yeah... you're not spoiled rotten or anything getting a massage every 2 weeks!!! :rotfl2: So what justification did you give DH for that? Clue me in.... I need to work on KC for this. Every two weeks, huh? Ahhhhhhh, sounds mahvelous!!!

So how did it go everyone? Did you get most of what you wanted last night?

I'll be posting an update of our Double Dip Delight activities soon. Have a few more things to get from the Pixie Dusters and then I'll have all my little ducks in a row and can post. By the way, y'all buy these ladies a Drink of the Day at some point... they're working their tails off so we can all have a wonderful cruise and hang out with this small town of friends we've developed on here over the past few weeks.

I'm heading to Orlando today and from this point forward won't be able to check the thread but in the morning and in the evenings. If you need something right away, send it to my email address and I'll try to remember to check that on my phone at lunchtime. I have to make myself go cold turkey on the checking of the thread or otherwise I'd be on it all day long (I'm addicted to y'all!) and I don't think my new boss would like that very much at all.

I'm planning on checking into the hotel, then driving to the job and back so I can make sure I know how to get there. Then it's off to Downtown Disney and the Earl of Sandwich for a bite to eat. I'll probably wander around DTD a bit and get some pictures... y'all let me know if you'd be interested in seeing them. I don't know if I'll go as far as Pleasure Island. I'm still so bummed about them taking out the Adventurer's Club! But then again, it's probably like a sore tooth.... you know you shouldn't mess with it but you have to. So I'll probably head that way too.

Okay, enough of my rambling. This isn't getting me on the road, is it? :scared1:

Good morning everyone! I hope that you all had a great weekend. It was pretty quiet at my house - I did end up having Nick and his wife plus Ben for dinner last night so no leftover chili for me.

Denise - safe travels. I would love to see pictures of whatever you take. And good luck tomorrow too. First days at anything can be very exciting along with being very stressful.

Palo ressies - those that have already signed up, don't worry about brunch (providing I am successful with the private dining room). And if that doesn't pan out - you always have another shot when you board.

Can you believe that it is August 31st? Where did the summer go? I heard on the radio this morning that there were parts of Cadillac that had frost this morning. I had 34 degrees but no frost. While fall is maybe my favorite season - I am not ready just yet for it to begin.

Have a great day everyone!

We booked through the Dolphin Discovery website on our own. None of us used Disney because it was a lot less $. We booked the Dolphin Encounter for our girls at 1:00 p.m. It was easy. I'm sure we will all grab transportation in a group if possible. I think the tentative plan is to go to Chanakanab in the morning (not too early) and spend the day there before the Dolphin Encounter. Hope this helps!
Susie

Yup, that's exactly what we did too and plan on doing...probably get off the boat at around 10:00 a.m. ...

Hypermommy - safe travels and have a great meal at the Earl of Sandwich - it's one of our favourites....

First timers - there will still be reservations on board for Palo - no worries...

Taking DD8 to the Jonas Bros. concert tonight and then tomorrow is her first day of school - hopefully she won't be too much of a zombie tomorrow morning!! :rotfl:

Cheers,
Lisa

It's Happy Day here!!! Kids are back to school and peace and quiet descends upon the household. :woohoo:

OceanQuest (ages 11-13)
Male = 1
Female = 5

I showed this to DS10 and told him he'd be the only boy in OQ with a bunch of girls. He is obviously still a 10-year-old with respect to girls... all he did was turn red and growl at me. Y'know, I FINALLY figured out why my father bugged and teased me so much when I was growing up... because it's FUN! :lmao:

KC - what do you mean you don't understand that logic - I get it! Perfectly logical.

Sorry, but I have to show male solidarity and go with KC and the other men on this one. Ask any man (especially a married one) and he'll tell you that "female logis" is an oxymoron. (ducks and runs from Denise and Gail).

I love the Konk Koolers that are on CC - the ones served at the bar by the family beach are the absolulte best! David drinks whatever the drink of the day is but since I am not so in to bananas and pineapple juice, it is more difficult for me to drink those. I do like 'Fun on the beach' as Disney calls it - or anything with peach schnapps in it.

I'm pretty much a "bring me the Drink of the Day, whatever it is" type. Last cruise, the far-and-away favourite of everyone was the Bushwhacker, so much so that the cruise became known as the Bushwhacker Banditos' Magical Cruise.

Got my latest issue of Disney Files magazine on Friday and there was a feature on Bay Lake Tower (our home DVC resort). Despite all the photos and articles I have seen on BLT, I finally saw a picture that totally blew me away. I never realized that the pool/hot tubs/waterslide at BLT were on the roof. Awesome!!

Have a great week, everyone!!

John

When I booked our cruise and requested a certain dining rotation they told me it would be A P L L A P L. Has anyone else heard of this. Is it possible he just gave me the wrong info?

Could be. There was a time when they doubled up in the middle. I do know when we cruised last October they changed ours mid-week but I am I forget how it actually went. Sorry.

Just remember the saying about paybacks John...just remember. And when you least expect it - there it will be. And as far as male solidarity goes, you may all 'solidify' all you want - it won't do much good. I have been married almost 30 years and he can come up with some pretty lame excuses for purchases as well - at least he gets to accompany me on the DCL trips. And that is not a lame trip I might add.

And what is in a Bushwacker??? Sounds interesting.

Thanks!!!!!

That's easy Denise! I have a bad back to begin with, plus when I get really stressed out my back gets worse. And who is it that causes most of my stress? He Who Shall Remain Nameless, of course! So I get a massage every 2 weeks as a proactive way to keep my back from going out! :rotfl::rotfl:

Safe travels to you. Good luck with your new job. Wouldn't it be nice to just be able to pop over to DTD for a bite to eat and a bit of shopping. Sigh. I'm so jealous.

My DD11 is a tomboy and great buds with a lot of boys in her class. If your DS likes to play video games and sports, then he and my DD will be great pals.

Well, I gotta admit payback sure is a #%^&~. irish Belle caught my dusting off the stairmaster post a few pages back and needless to say, it wasn't pretty:sad2:.

All I'll say is, The couch was pretty lumpy last night:headache:

OK - I will behave now.

I thought I heard that pirate night might be Grand Cayman day instead of Cozumel because we leave port earlier. Isn't that what happened on the last double dip?

I think that Pirate Night is always Grand Cayman night as Cozumel can be a pretty late night - we were there until 2:00AM the last time we were there. If the crew has received "good reviews" they get some extra time off (for good behavior).

I'll have to let Dale know that. He is big into video games of any sort (we have a PS2, Wii and computer) and has turned into a HUGE baseball fan. In fact he was just in your neck of the woods. DW took the kids on a 3-week vacation, which included visiting her aunt and uncle in Birch Bay, WA. She took DS on the Amtrak train into Seattle and the two of them went to a Mariners game (and I am sooooo jealous).

And it looks like our daughters are the same age as well. Sarah will be 8 at cruise time, and Dale will be 11.

We have a Wii, XBox, DS, and computer. Does Dale like Pokemon? Both my girls are huge fans.

What a neat trip for them. I hope they enjoyed Safeco Field - it truly is one of the best baseball stadiums in the country IMHO. We were just there for a Mariners game in July and we got to see Ken Griffey Jr play that day. Can you believe he legged out an infield hit? Well, OK, the 3rd baseman bobbled the ball, but still!

Welcome back! OK, no disrespect meant here, but how does one forget about an upcoming Disney Cruise? :rotfl2: King Charming will want to know whether Mickey paid you a personal visit to collect his money. :rotfl:

If you'd like to catch up on all the group activities that we have planned, use the link on the bottom line of my signature. Also, we have a Google Workbook to collect information on everyone who is participating. You will need a google account to access it. If you don't have one, just set one up. Then PM me with your google addy and I will send you a link to the workbook plus a link to the meet's private website.

Very cute! I love the pocket fabric.

There goes my plan to have Palo on Pirate night. Oh well it'll still be great.

Ooohhh!!! It's so pretty and fancy!!! Just beggin' for the cool treats we're bringing to put in it!
