11/13/04 Eastern Cruise only We Did It

Suse, I didn't mean to imply it was your fault....just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and yours. I am SO happy you are all ok. Must have been very scary.

It was a blind man who decided to turn right in front of me from the opposite direction
Only in Mt. Washington would they allow a blind man to drive!! You better vote wisely on 11/2, get someone in office who can improve the rules of the road!! ;)

Vicki, I know you weren't implying anything. I was just whining. And it didn't happen in Mt Washington. It happened in Louisville. Daggon IDIOTS:crazy:

I just hope the fool had insurance.

I've had 3 car accidents since I got my license 1000 years ago, and not 1 of them has been my fault.

I asked John yesterday if somewhere on my car it says, "HIT ME"

It seems like everytime I buy a brand new car some idiot decides to destroy it withing the first 5 years.

I guess on the happy side of that I'll never have to drive an old car:rolleyes:

Maybe its time for "Rent a Wreck".:p ;)

Hope you are feeling better!:D

Counting down!!! After the Magic leaves today, it will only leave 2 more times without us! Whoo Hooo!!!

Thanks Ralph, that makes me feel better. At least it's not just me.

Ok, my doc box is inches thick. Tell me what I'm supposed to do with it?!? And please refresh my memory...all five of us can use raised seal birth certificates, right? I was going to get us all passports, but at $45 a crack, that's a lot of drinks!! :teeth:

I'll start reading while I await an answer...:rolleyes1

Vicki - All you need is birth certificates with the raised seal. Not sure how old your DD's are but if any have are driving "adults" need a photo id with the bc. Just a thought.
HTH

Man, now I am freaking out. I know all our birth certificates are originals, but i'd better run upstairs to make sure they have raised seals.... :worried:

We finally decided what we're going to do in St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Not sure if anyone remembers me, but we are travelling with our 19month old and our son who turns 7 on 11/13.

We prefer not to do excursions and just do our own thing. In St. Maarten we are going to take the ferry across to the beach. We'll spend a few hours there (and I plan to have my bag packed with a few All Hands on Decks and chicken tenders!) and then head back to the ship.

In St. Thomas, we are getting a day pass to Frenchman's Reef. We'll take a taxi over there and just relax. We will have access to a guest room, which will be nice. Depending on time, we may do the tram. A friend who lives on Peter Island (right near St. Thomas in the BVI) suggested the submarine tour, but our little one is not big enough. Next year!

I'm really getting excited!

aaaaagggghhh. major panic attack. Couldn't find Josh's birth certificate in the lock box with all the others. Finally found it in the filing cabinet.. Whew.

BUT...there's no raised seal on John's birth certificate!!! It is his original certificate, even in the original envelope with a 1963 postmark!!! Is this going to be a problem??? Some counsel, please!!!! :faint: :scared1: :confused3 :worried:

Jen, You might better call DCL. When I talked to them they said it had to have an original raised seal to prove that it was state issued and not a copy. If you live in the same county as where he was born, it is real simple to get one. Just have to go to the health department and wait while it is faxed over. Mine costs about $12 and took about 1 hr of my time. HTH

PoohJen, Adisneymama, House of Princesses, Suzpasq, if you can't find a birth certificate or need a raised seal copy, just do to www.deptofvitalstatistics.com , ans...me of the lock if anyone needs them.:earsboy:

UUUGH, can I file my petition for a crappy week and desperate need of a vacation? I have two dogs roc and adonis (hence the screen name) who went out last night and killed me a skunk. They were even kind enough to bring it up onto the porch for me. God Bless Them. So, now I'm headed home with an arsenal of cleaning products to try and de-smell my dogs and my house. Not as bad as car accidents and scratched eyes but, annoying as heck. I'm sorry I didn't take time to read everyone's posts but, hope all is well and I'll check in tomorrow. (Didn't want anyone to think I was just whining and ignoring everything else. )

I thought I knew where my birth certificate was a few years ago when we wanted to go to Canada. I was wrong. I ended up ordering a new one. Depending on the state it can take quite a while if you don't pay the extra fees to expedite the process. (for and out of state request.)
I am so sorry for everyone who has been having accidents lateley.
I hope things are going well now for you.

My friends dogs got skunked a few years ago. It was awful.
They stank, Her house and pretty much anything fabric in it stank.
She was told that certain feminine hygiene products were good for getting out skunk smell from pets.... She got some odd looks from the folks at the store when she bought like 10 of them, and tomato paste!
3 weeks from today we will all be on the ship!!

:smooth:

Oh geez, I don't check for a few days and y'all go out rammin' cars and killin' skunks! Some wild kruzers. :)

Susan I hope you are ok...I bet it was scary. Glad you got your new car!!

Rocadonismom, really sorry to hear about your skunk...that can't be fun!

Ok, well, we're all packed and ready for stateside travels! I have all the kids' cruise stuff packed in one suitcase. DH and I will have to re-pack when we return home. And, I'll have to make a Target run...ahhhh, Target, how I miss it. :) My bank account doesn't though!

Only 6 more days 'til we land in PA!!!

Have a great Sunday! :earboy2:

LOL Carolyn that really stinks. (pun intended)

I think I would rather deal with my car being totalled than 2 skunky smelling dogs, yuck.

Heather we are both doing ok, just bruised, stiff, and sore. But we'll survive and should be A OK before vacation time.

Are you more excited to be coming back to the states or going on the cruise? Can you compare the 2? Have a safe trip home, I don't think any of us can take much more bad luck before vacation time gets here.

Well there is a bit of good news today.

Despite the stressful week, and improper eating during all the stress. I LOST 2 LBS::yes:: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

That makes 13 total so far. Have I passed you Jeanna? LOL

Hey Vicki, John said we're both leaving home on Nov 7th. You said last night that you won't drive all the way thru. Which makes you getting there Nov 8th, same as us, and the ride will be open to the public. We will get to ride it before embarktion too. We can compare experiences.

And gloat to Jen about getting to ride it before her. (evil laugh)
