11/10/11- 3-Night on the Dream

Exciting! Hopefully my docs will come in this week!

Can't wait! My son's countdown calendar reads 1 - 1 - 1! One month, One week, One day! He is beside himself! Of course I've been beyond excited since 2 -2 - 2!!! :lmao:

My 4 kids have NO idea we are going. I have been keeping this secret since February and it is killing me. I had to run into the laundry room to do a little jumping up and down. It is getting harder now to keep everything hidden. There are lists of things to buy/make/pack on my desk. Luggage partially packed hidden in my closet. I cannot wait to see their faces when we are nearing Port Canaveral and they realize what is happening.

Got the docs for one room today. Did the online registration and we have a noon check-in time. Have to start trying to figure out how I'm going to fit everything into the carry-on suitcase and still have room for souvies!

Since we are less then 40 days out from the sail date:cheer2: I think this is the best time to ask questions about the ship. If you have any questions ask them. This will be my 7 cruise with Disney. 2 on the dream.

OK...I have a "how do you get there from here?" question:
The printed out deck plans I have a very old (got them while on the Magic in Jan of '09 when I booked this cruise) and they have a few blank spots (like Remy is just a blank white spot because they hadn't even announced that there would be a Remy yet).

We will be staying deck 6 aft (very convenient to the kids clubs and the adult lounges). The deck plans do not show a hallway running all the way down Deck 5 and it looks like the only way you can access the kids clubs is from the mid-ship elevators. Is this true? Just seems insane that the deck 5 aft cabins can't walk down the hall to the kids clubs!

I noticed that also on the deck plans. Before I was assigned my Deck 5 aft cabin I asked the Disney resv agent the same question. I was assured you could walk alongside the kids areas from aft to midship to foward. Just along the outside of the area, not through. Make sense?

I hope this is so. I really do not enjoy the ships with decks that you have to go up to get down mess. . . pirate:

We'll be seeing you, Jackie - there's 6 of us in 3 of the aft deck 6 verandahs!
39 days, woohoo!:woohoo:

Does it have the lower celing like on the Wonder/Magic? I think that is so cool. Deck 5 on the classic ships is one of my favorites to use for getting from one end of the ship to the other.

about the same. the regular levels that do not contain that many staterooms are a little higher. The levels that have only staterooms a little lower.

I have started to pack some things... we don't need our bathing suits in October in Vermont so those are getting set aside in the suitcases :)

The days are dwindling and my excitement is turning to anxiety :rotfl:

I just want to make sure I have everything thing done and make sure I have enough spending money (only 4 paychecks left :scared1:)!! :lmao:I don't want to have to scramble the night before we leave to try to get everything done.

4 Weeks!!!! It is getting so close...who's packed already?

last year i was so worried about luggage weight and just being excited that when we got to Disneyworld i had only packed one outfit for my son. to avoid this, i've already packed his suitcase! So he's ready... I'll wait till the end for myself

BUT Fe's are already shipped to my cousin in Orlando.... yipee... :thumbsup2

Oh dear! That sounds just like something I would do! :rotfl2:
Haven't actually started the packing, but making lists! Pretty soon I'll need a list to keep my lists in order! Geesh! :rotfl:

Can't wait!

I was on the Dream in April and stayed in Deck 5 Aft cabin 5664 and absolutely LOVED the location. It is very quiet and easy to access all locations. Yes, Deck 5 does run the length of the ship on the port side and is easy to get to the kids club from Deck 6 Aft. You can take the elevators or stairs down to Deck 5 and walk down the port side, it is a lovely walk.

We are sailing on the Dream again Nov 10th, but are staying with friends on Deck 8. I will miss that extended balcony!!!!
