Just curious if there was a cut off time for when people can sign up. I am excited to start getting my gifts together already and not sure how much to buy. Also are their any type of rules to this... i.e.... give gifts one time, each night, certain amount of gifts... any detail we might need to know when purchasing items.

Sorry just a little excited to get going...

Grabbed a Palo dinner on line last night. We decided not to do a CC cabana for this cruise as our group has dwindled, so it would be less of a 'party' ;). I think half of them were gone in the first ten minutes!

.

My booking window opens up on 8/12...should I assume all of the cabanas on the family beach will be gone? :sad1: I saw you mention 9pm in one of your posts...is that the official time that the system will allow me to start booking like crazy. Is that eastern time?

12:01AM Eastern, which was 9:01PM for me...pacific time.

Don't assume anything about the cabanas, if they are all gone just keep checking every once and a while. I think people grab them up and then rethink the cost, or the rest of the family/group doesn't think its a good idea...anyway some come open over the weeks before the cruise.

Good luck!

Anyone have any experience on how the weather is in November? Are the water temps on the ship and at Cataway Cay warm enough for swimming?

Also, in looking at some pics in trip reports from mid November of last year it seems that the ship may have some Christmas decorations already...could that be?

We were on the Wonder 11/4/04. I don't remember swimming in the pool, but I remember snorkeling at CC; it was chilly, but doable. It also POURED that day, so it was a bit chillier overall. I think they might have been putting the tree up as we were getting off the ship.

I've done a couple of cruises around my birthday (11/7) and holiday decorations have started going up during them. I wouldn't be suprised to see the big tree in the atrium go up during this cruise. Usually the gingerbread house isn't completed, but started and the smell is HEAVEN!.

Castaway Cay, however, is not decorated until Thanksgiving time.

Pools are heated so they're never an issue. CC may be a tad 'refreshing' when you get in, but generally you can acclimate quickly and stay in for a good while without turning blue! (Was never a probelm for this girl who learned to swim in Lake Michigan!!!)

My family of six will be on the 11/10 cruise. Me, DS6, DN10, DN20, and my Mom and Dad. We have adjoining family oceanview cabins on deck 6 -- I don't remember the cabin #s at the moment.

This is our first Disney cruise and very first cruise for my two nieces. We are all very excited. I had booked the trip for just myself and my son, but then my parents joined in, soon followed by one niece, then the other. We're now maxed out in our cabins, so I think this is it.

We were originally planning to spend the five days prior at WDW and then finish up our vacation on the ship. However, the airfare was just astronomical. JetBlue's fare to fly home on 11/13 was $500/pp -- that's just ONE way!!! We just couldn't swing it, so we switch up our trip. We are now flying in on 11/9, spending the night at Best Western, and then after the cruise, spending a few days at WDW. It shortened our trip by a couple of days, but saved A LOT of cash on airfare.

My son is so excited about participating in the kids' activities. The kids sections look amazing -- I may not see much of him over the three days. :lmao:

I plan on booking our next cruise while onboard -- I hear the prices are pretty good.

I am surprised to see your Jet Blue prices so high... I am on the East coast as well and my flights were about $100 each way pp. I used Delta on the way there and Jet Blue on the way back.

We are on deck 6 as well :)

The cut off date will be September 29th (6 weeks before the cruise). Other than that there are no rules - you decide who you want to gift to, when you want to deliver and how many gifts you want to give. The amount you pay is completely up to you - some people go all out. For us we do one gift for the adults in the cabin, then one gift for each child. For the three day cruise I would plan on delivering the first or second day so everyone has time to pack their treasures.

Thank-you... I have already started picking out goodies!

We usually do this - you save 10% off the cruise, plus a smaller deposit, and also you receive on-board ship credit. We booked one we we were on the Alaska cruise for next June out of New York, but will have to move it as we just booked Aulani for our 25th anniversary. Many people just book a dummy date as far out as they can get it and change it when they get home.

Welcome back - hope you had a great cruise!

It was incredible!!

Day 1: me and my family were at the terminal and we got boarding pass 9. Well we said it is my b-day and the cheack-in person gave us boarding pass 2! What a great day to start it off!

More coming later tonight!

Would love to join in. First cruise with 2 DD ages 11 and 6. I emailed my info.
Thanks for organizing!

We have a final number of 59 attending our wedding on Castaway Cay!!! We have two couples in our party celebrating 20 year anniversaries. I am getting very excited to see the Dream in person and GET MARRIED!!!:bride:

Calling all fish extender participants....

Just looking for cute ideas for age and gender groups that I am not familiar with... I have two girls 7 and 4 so a little clueless when it comes to boys especially older ones and the older girls. I could shop for days for the little girls :rotfl:

I have been started to gather some things here and there and have been trying to look for different ideas.

Anyone that wants to chime in whether your in the fish extender or not would be awesome. A few hints with some names wouldn't be bad either.

What is your kid into :thumbsup2

Thanks!
