I already have my ressies, but I went on disney's site today to see about an ugrade, and the place is completely booked! Not a room to be found - even under the "general public" rates. Does this mean it will be wall to wall people that weekend?

The NJEA convention, which causes Jersey Week, in combination with Veteran's Day, means 2 days of school that week for Jerseyans. They will most likely inhabit WDW from Nov. 5-11 or 12th, if they decide to stay the whole weekend. That could be a reason. :)

End of Jersey Week, last weekend of F&W, Festival of the Masters, Super Soaps Weekend - yup, we're talking gridlock!

And happily, I'm going to be part of it  !

KC :sunny: (also insane enough for her next trip to be the week between Christmas and New Years!)

We'll see you there from the 10-15!! We've gone the week between Christmas and NY and I really don't remember it being that bad, except for the 4 hour wait on TT on NYE. Have a great time!

Did you wait the 4 hours to ride TT? That is just crazy. That is when you know you are a dedicated WDW ride rider.

LoL. NO!! There is no way that I would EVER wait that long to ride TT. It's not THAT good! That was the posted time when we went to see what the wait is. Needless to say, we did something else with no wait, like El Rio de Tiempo! :lmao:

Hey, I'm a Jersey Girl, too, back in the day! And don't tell everyone our secret, that those of us in the 'know' get to the parks at rope drop on days like that, collect FP like crazy, ride lots of rides first thing, then happily use our FP later in the day. Nothing is as sweet as strolling up with an FP to a ride with a 4 hour wait (and that's what the parks are like on NYE, by mid afternoon!).

See you in the parks!

Just be careful that the park you want to spend NYE doesn't close before you get there! We spent it in Epcot, it was fab! I'll see you there, sporting the LGMH!!

It could also be your choice of dates specificly, as in length of stay.

That's why it's never really good to go by Disney's website - it's notoriously inaccurate. So much better when you get a live person who can actually help.

While they may very well be booked, try searching for a longer stay with those dates inside. You will probably see that you can book. The Disney system will often reject a three-night stay, but will accept a seven-night stay.

If you did it online, you are SOL. If you do it on the phone, a smart CM would book you the 7-day trip just to get it booked, and then take off the days after - voilla, you have what you want.

The website only tells you what it wants to tell you, and even then it's just not always accurate. I am a firm believer in technology, and do things on the internet all the time - banking, etc., but when it comes to a WDW vacation it's just not worth it. Besises this issue, you can't make changes to online ressies very easy (you have to make a double deposit), and it's just an all around pain.

Call Disney, maybe they can help.

Oh COME ON! The weekend I decide to go, in what is supposed to be a peaceful quiet month, will be jam packed???????????

Take heart, it's not as bad as you think. For instance, yes, Epcot World Showcase may have crowds because it's the last weekend of F&W - but not early in the day, too much, and the crowds will be there to eat, not ride rides, so you may be OK there. And the Super Soaps weekend crowd doesn't care about rides at all, and will only be at MGM - stay away from the Hat and from the autograph locations, and really, you should be pleased with the crowd levels. Festival of the Masters is at DTD. MK and AK don't have anything in particular going on, and so should just be at regular weekend levels.

You'll be fine, you'll see!

We will be arriving on the 11th. There's a lot going on that weekend, but I think we'll be OK since we're not planning on going to the parks on our arrival day and doing MK on the 12th.

We'll be there the 9th-14th. Plenty of rooms to be had on the boardwalk all summer long so I waited for a promo. Big mistake nothing to be had at the Boardwalk or monorail hotels. Booked at CBR which I have never been to but have had nice stays at CSR and POR. Don't plan on spending much time at hotel anyway. Weather was beautiful last year and crowds were much more managable than when we have been there over the summer. F&W and Super Soap are crowded but OH so much fun. :goodvibes

We are doing MK on the 12th too. See you there!

:stitch: Which days are Super Soap scheduled for at MGM Studios? If someone could let me know, it would appreciated. Thanks so much!

I'll be there 11/9-16 -- I really hope it won't be too crowded. It's DH's first time & he hates crowds. Glad I booked months ago, I'd be stressing if I couldn't get a ressie. We will just have to stay away from F&W and Soaps.

Hey does anybody know about the week of Jan5-Jan13 2007. We usually go early May and its busy but bearable. Will this week in January be slower, Busier or about the same? Please Help.

You will feel like you own the place...it's truley about the best time of the year to attend. Bring a sweater for early morning and evening adventures.

Jersey weekers here too. I would agree with NewEngland Disney. I just added a day at the Poly and the website said nothing was available and I called not only did I get a room I got a pin code rate!

Sometimes you have to ask to receive.

Thinking that after the weekend (12th) things should clear out a little.
Good posts though, thanks for alleviating some of the crowd anxieties.

See you all Nov 9th-16th.
