We like Country Inn and Suites.
What we've done is just to book a room and bring a twin sized air mattress. Works like a charm every time. The kids think its a blast to sleep on an air mattress anyway.
For the life of me, I don't understand why hotels, cruises, etc. still think of a family in terms of 4. The next step up...which is usually suites...are so proportionally pricey that it drives a family of 5 away. It amazes me that their marketing departments fail to see all the business that they lose because of this. Certainly there can be some middle ground between a regular room and having to get either a suite or two rooms.
