101 Ways My Son Entertained Himself at WDW--The Last Day--New 11/18

Hs,I also found a great book to 'teach' with at Epcot- it was the Declaration of Independence, only each phrase is illustrated with a picture of the meaning,so the kids can get a feel for what it really means.... and it was the cover price too- whoopee!
Disney doesn't overcharge if the price is already on the item....good to know!:rotfl:
I have a habit of buying books wherever we go anyway, they're my favorite souvenir!
I also bought my ds2 a cute storybook about Mickey and his little bear having a day in the MK...so cute......:lovestruc

Coral Reef is a neat place isnt it? :thumbsup2 The bread is awsome, somthing about the butter I think,. We had a booth just like yours, What did you think of the soup? I was expecting something more chunky, andnot that creamy. I forgot about the fish guides!! I had ordered a diver with a Happy 40th Birthday sign for me..(why not,i figured no one else would?:) ) and the personalized menus,,really cool!
Buzz if you go in Oct, do the menus as a surprise, the kids will love it!!

What do you mean by personalized menus???? :confused3

How I've missed checking the updates I don't know!:confused3 I think the name change threw me. ( At least that's my excuse anyway! ) But anyway I'm back in (whether you want me or not muah ha ha ha ha!!!;) )
So I've just read your trippie part and FINALLY got caught up. I have to say your kids are adorable!!!:goodvibes And I love the names!!!

I totally feel on you on how us Texans don't do the cold. THis weather we've ben having has been tdriving me nuts and I'm so glad it's starting to warm up!!! From the comments you've made on here we are not too far aprt maybe a couple of hours. I live north of Houston. About an hour and a half from the medical center!!! 2 Hours when those people decide they HAVE to go eat lunch or go home!!! HMPH!!!

My DS8 has those looks that always seem to get noticed also. He was chosen for quite a bit which actually helped his brother out. Cause then they would notice the WISH buttons. \

Coral Reef looks so yummy!! And Fish ARE food!!! In fact I think I will bake some Tilapia for supper. you've got me hungry!!!popcorn::

Can't wait for more!!!!!!!!

When we were done shopping, I paid for my book and C paid for her glittery turtle that she named Squirt after Crush’s littlest turtle.

Hmm........I read this the days the boards wouldn't let you post anything!

--I'll remember to try and circumvent the DDP speech if possible!
--Coral Reef looks great--we may keep it after all--just don't like lunch there for DDP. And now we probably won't get a fish guide cause people keep taking them...:rolleyes1 ;)
--What's Israeli cousous?? (sure I spelled that wrong...)

Glad this went well for you all!:thumbsup2

I don't know why everyone thinks it's the butter, but I'll go along with that... :confused3 I love all bread, so you know I ate it up! :rotfl: The soup was the best!:lovestruc

Gotta love husbands - mine tries to do this too. What nerve!!!

I'm really glad you enjoyed the Coral Reef. We are going there for our birthday dinner in a few months and I've been spying the Mahi Mahi on the menu. It's good to read a nice review.

Looking forward to more!
I think you'll enjoy it. We'll definantly go back.

We enjoyed the Coral Reef when we went last year. I thought the highlight was the tank tho for sure. I def think i'd so it again if on a dining plan but otherwise its too expensive! I'm glad you guys liked it!
That's why I love the DDP. I didn't care how much it costs or if everyone ate their food. It made things so much more relaxing. :cloud9:

I am sooo glad to hear how much you enjoyed the Coral Reef. We are going it Monday next to the tank too. :thumbsup2 Sorry bout the "speach" about the appitizers & TIPS. Not looking foward to that part. :sad2: I hope they go back to the complete prepaid meals.
I would like them to go back to the tips and appy included too. I tried to do an appetizer instead of the dessert, but they wouldn't let me.

We love the Coral Reef.
We always have the best servers there.
On our 20th Anniversary they wrote Happy Anniversary in gold on our chocolate wave. We didn't even ask them too. Server found out it was our anniversary and had them do it.
Love the Mahi Mahi and the Tuna
The couscous is great.
Sea Turtles are my favorite animal so I of course get very excited when the turtle swims by.:yay:
This is always on our list of places to eat.:thumbsup2
How sweet! :cutie:
I wish we could go more often. It was a special place, for sure.

MMMM....Coral Reef. We also loved it even though we were full already when we arrived to restaurant...but we tried our hardest to eat it. I  their au gratin potaotes...the broccolli was good too! I also  the lobster soup...though I did try the chocolate wave minus the brandied cherries and did not think it was as good as what everybody on the DIS had raved about. Of Course I was also stuffed to the gils (no pun intended) and it just was too dry. I expected it to be moist cake with chocolate flowing out in the middle when you cut into it. Oh well...overall we liked Coral Reef and would try it again if we ever go during a time where we would have to buy the DPP ( We went for Free Dining last year) and while we liked the plan...it was way too much food. We would normally not eat that many sit down meals and we thought the counter service was lacking. Though with the new DPP I would rather them either give you the choice of appetizer or dessert.
Stuffed to the gills! :lmao:
I agree: too much food at TS, but not impressed with CS meals. :confused3

Glad to hear the Coral Reef went well!
:thumbsup2

Did you see the shark in the tank? It and the turtle were big hits, along with 2 divers that swam up early on in our meal. From the pic and description we may have sat in the same booth as y'all did :D I will certainly be going back there the next time we visit the World.

...and yes, we 'borrowed' a fish guide and 2 coasters for our collection of memorobelia too ;)
They must be used to people taking the guides. If they weren't paper, I wouldn't have taken them.
I don't remember seeing the shark... :confused3

We are close! We're a little north of SA. I have a friend who just relocated to 15 minutes from MD Anderson. I haven't been to Houston since my teens when we went to Astro World! :lmao:
Sorry about the name change. I was told I needed to change it and then it just seemed to fit.

Couscous is like little pastas. It's "eh".
The fish guide is paper, so that means you're SUPPOSED to take it, right? :rolleyes1

Turns out, we should all listen to Jo. She was right about the fast passes, and Soarin’ totally honored them even though I show we returned after our hour window on our Fast Passes. Guess who got front row again? That’s right, US!

Look who found something to do to waste time after Soarin’. What a sweet boy.

Next up: Canada!

The buildings in Canada were beautiful. I wasn’t sure what we were supposed to see in Canada, but I knew I wanted to hear Off Kilter play. We headed to the stage area and tried to find something in the sun.

Here’s one way A entertained himself in Canada—playing on the wall with his sister.
WaitingforOffKilter2.jpg

While K saved seats, B & I walked over to a little stand and looked at the merchandise. We saw a stand for hot tea and coffee, so I asked K if he would stand in line with B while I played “red light, green light” with A and C. I also bought time with candy lollipops from the dump shop after TOT. They came 6 in a pack for $3, so that was a pretty good deal, if you ask me.

OffKilter.jpg

Finally, Off Kilter came out and started playing. We really enjoyed the music. I was cracking up because the tall guy with graying hair was totally “rocking his kilt.” He was thrusting and jamming it up. I think it was the cold breeze he was getting. K and were just dying.
In fact, when I told K I was writing about this part, and pulled up the picture, he asked “What’s that flask thing hanging in front of his kilt for? To hide his Kilt Teepee?!” He had me crying I was laughing so hard.
He’s really a funny guy. I told him he needed to get a user name and add his thoughts to my posts, but he said he’d rather just tell me. So, he’s funny, but lazy.
Kidding, honey! Love you! :lovestruc

Turns out, we should all listen to Jo.
Can you now tell my family please :rotfl2: And I can't believe you ever doubted me :snooty: :rotfl2:

Guess who got front row again? That’s right, US!
Woohooo great seats again!

I wasn’t sure what we were supposed to see in Canada,
There's a new 3D movie I think :confused3

:rotfl2: Oh and it's called a Sporran, you know like the one the vicar was wearing and got caught in my dress :rotfl2:

You're first! :cool1:
I was so cold, I didn't have much patience for looking around outside in the countries this day. I wish I could go back and do it on a warmer day. Can I have a do-over? :thumbsup2

What's a sporran for? Whiskey?

We're the opposite, well the same kinda, it's sooooo hot in August that we too don't explore too much :rotfl2:

What's a sporran for? Whiskey?
Because Kilts don't have pockets it's for anything really, money, keys etc and yes probably a hip flask of whiskey :rotfl2:

Off Kilter Rules!!! I had a DIS meet at Off Kilter in December with ncsjodi & ncseric. They got to meet the stretchy shorts.

So, did you totally love them? Did they play for 15 minutes or a half hour? They do both. The half hour set is obviously the best.

It looks cold but at least the sun was out. Whenever it's cold, I crave Crown Royal... :scratchin Hmmm... cold here right now...

I know what Buzz is gonna have! ;)
We missed Off kilter all 3 trips,:headache: first two, i had no idea they exsited, last trip, I made a point to look for them, they werent on the times guide anywhere, no signs at the stage, and nobody knew anything at the closest kiosk,,,o-well,,:confused3
Great pictures HSM! Canada is beautiful!! :flower3:

We stayed for about 3 songs, I think. I wanted to make sure we got a certain amount in before we left for dinner.
That dude was totally jammin', though. What a crack up. I appreciated his enthusiasm.
