101 Ways My Son Entertained Himself at WDW--The Last Day--New 11/18

Thanks!
Do you have Aiden? :confused3
All of my kids names weren't super common when I picked them. They've become a bit more widely used in the last few years, though.

Guess what? My MIL called last night and told us she has to have surgery on your Bday. :sad1: She has an aneurism in her brain and they have to go put a stint in. Apparently they go through the groin now, though so it's less invasive. That'll be a stressful day!
Yep we have Aiden but it's not that common! So sorry about your MIL hope it all goes well

I told Ab that we just picked the first name in the baby book! (It really was Abigail!):lmao:
:rotfl2:

I was named after a haircut. :sad2:
Yeah right  :rotfl2:

Love the kids names. I'm all about different names and the spellings are really cool too! They are some cuties!!!!

Thank you! I wanted their names to be disctinct if you look at them. I picked boy/girl names for the girls, then changed the spelling so you can tell they are girls. Being a former teacher, I knew that mattered.

Thank you. We went to lunch at her restaurant. She's planning to go to a wedding the Sat. after her surgery. Then she said she'd be working after 2 weeks, even though the surgeon said it's a 6 week recovery. :sad2:

Your children are gorgeous and you picked out lovely names for them.

your children are beautiful. Love their names as well.
Thank you both! :thumbsup2

Aiden
Baylie
Camryn (pretty popular name--Cameron Diaz!)

So next one is ???

My MIL named her kids from TV shows:
Daran=from Bewitched (changed the spelling)
Tara= Gone with the Wind (the house, not the woman :sad2: )

I told Ab that we just picked the first name in the baby book! (It really was Abigail!):lmao:
No way! :scared1: I can't handle another kid! I'm the "D", remember?
I got Baylie from Bailey on Party of Five. I loved it for a girl. She would have been a Chase if she had outdoor plumbing. :lmao:
Then I got Camryn from Camryn Manheim on The Practice. She would also have been Chase. :confused3
Then I just got Aiden from a baby book while the girls and I were at Barnes and Noble for storytime. (Why buy the book, right? :lmao: ) I ditched Chase b/c it didn't go with K's grampa's name (which is now A's middle name).
I can't remeber what his girl name would have been. :confused3

I love their names too!

I would have gladly shown her some Jersey 'tude for ya:hug:

You know people's sense of entitlement just amazes me. It' sone thingif no one is waiting , but c'mon. You just know what these kids are gonna be like as adults:rolleyes:

I have yet to do Crush at WDW, saw it at DCA and loved it. It's amazing how they do that!

And what was that about Buzz eating dolphins:mad:

That kid deserved to be punt kicked out of the way! They were jacked up looking kids too. They had cRaZy eyes!
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: j/k
It was really rude and my kids were told that they may each have one turn, get the certificate mailed to our house, then let other kids have a turn. I may have said it extra loud so the lady could hear me. 'Cause that's about as brave as I get... :headache:

I liked Camryn on The Practice too! :thumbsup2 Smart lady!

I had named Ab "Matthew Alexander" cause my maternal intuition KNEW it was gonna be a boy (and my doctor would not do an US after 8 weeks :sad2: )

So when she was a girl...we picked Abigail......and saved the boys name.
5 months later, my SIL named her boy "Matthew"
(in hind site, she didn't know I liked the name, and I never had any boys anyway, but STILL!) :lmao:

And I use my loud voice a lot........"YES, SWEETIE THOSE PEOPLE ARE TAKING A LONG TIME BUT I'M SURE THEY'RE DONE NOW" And being 5 foot tall, I just duck down when they look back! :rolleyes1

Meet my oldest child

:wave2: Hi Baylie!! I love your name!

Loved your last two updates and your children are adorable.

Thank you! We had fun at the show and I can't wait to go again!
C's my sweetie. She's rarely in trouble and so fun to be around. :lovestruc

Yep and he tried to tell us it was a very popular name in the UK forgetting I read his TR :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That is so funny!!! I thought she was joking! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey!

HSM, the wife posted my 3rd grade report cards on my trip report and it had my REAL name on it. Hollis :headache:

Ohhhhh! I must have missed that detail. I'll have to go back and look using your handy dandy links on the first page! :lmao:

Okay- I'm posting my update now...

When we were done shopping, I paid for my book and C paid for her glittery turtle that she named Squirt after Crush’s littlest turtle. We paid the $1 for the Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund, I asked the CM where I would find the Coral Reef. It's around the back of the building. Bummer- looks like we’re going back into the cold. We quickly walk around the building and check in. We were asked to wait in the lobby and we sat down on the benches. We began checking out our purchases, but were quickly taken to our seat.

We had a neat little booth that faces the big fish tank. We were handed our menus and a Fish Guide we could use to identify the various fish in the tank. I wanted to get fish of some sort since I love seafood. Sorry, fish ARE food.

C obviously loved the bread appetizer.

I ended up choosing the Mahi Mahi served over Israeli Couscous and arugula with honey soy glaze. I also ordered a cup of Creamy Lobster Soup. I chose the Bailey’s and Jack Daniels Mousse, although I’m not big on chocolate.

Side note:
Yes, I know appetizers aren’t on the plan. Yes, I’ll pay for it and our adult beverages separately. Being on the new 2008 DDP was only annoying because you had to go through the hoopla at every meal of them re-explaining that appetizers, adult beverages and TIPS are not included in the plan anymore. Okay- Got it. Now, bring me my deep blue martini!

I thought the Mahi Mahi was really tasty. I had never had couscous before and although it was good, I was a little freaked out but the texture of it. The lobster soup was so tasty. I stupidly offered K a taste and he said what he always says, “Just save me some.” I hate that. I didn’t really want to share, I was just being polite. Take your taste, and back away from my soup, mister! But, I was a good wife and saved 1/3 of the cup for him. He also gave it a thumbs up. The dessert was okay in small bites. It was really rich, so I wasn’t that into it. I left most of it.

K ordered 8oz Strip Steak with potatoes au gratin and broccolini. His steak was yummy and he said his broccolini was the best he ever had. For dessert he chose the Chocolate Wave without cherries. He seemed to like it, but it was too chocolately for me. :confused3

B (who is considered an adult on the DDP) ordered the Chicken with jasmine rice and chicken broth. She ordered the Chocolate Wave without cherries for dessert. She enjoyed both.

C ordered carrots and celery, chicken strips and a sundae. A ordered carrots and celery, mac-n-cheese and a sundae. They both ate and enjoyed their meals. :thumbsup2

Our server, Holli was really attentive and gave us the best service of the whole trip. We never ran low on anything. She was great. :lovestruc

Every once in a while the dining room would buzz and we would look up to see the Green Sea Turtle swim by. It was the big excitement of the meal. We would totally go back to the Coral Reef next time we go to Disney. It was a family favorite. And, yes, I “borrowed” the Fish Guide & a coaster for my scrapbook! :cutie:

Meal total: $134.61 ($18 for soup and martini)

We had a neat little booth that faces the big fish tank.
Score :thumbsup2

Did he do that at every meal? :headache:

We loved seeing the turtle, apparently just before we sat down the turtle had been resting for over an hour right by our table!!!

And, yes, I “borrowed” the Fish Guide & a coaster for my scrapbook! :cutie:
You didn't :rotfl2:

Isn't cous cous just a diced spaghetti noodle? :confused3

I've never eaten at Coral Reef... :scratchin

Come to think of it, I'm not even sure exactly where it is! :confused3

Looks good though! I'll check it out in October.

Question: What KIND of adult beverage. :hyper: What exactly is a Deep Blue martini?
