Jimmy is going to Catholic School in September, there is no way I would send him to public school here in Philly

I wasn't fond of the public schools in CT either and we had thought about Catholic schools (course we moved)....but it's hard to get in if your not Catholic.
My entire church in CT home-schooled their kids and had a neat coop they wanted me to join, but I was working FT then so would have been tough.
I have always volunteered a bunch at my kids schools (I copy papers and shelve library books a bunch--yes, great use of my 4.0 from VT! ). But it keeps me "in the know" about what's going on and that's important!

Eeek! I don't even want to talk to my kids about their own parts, much less what happens when a cat is neutered! Our puppy was snipped in December, poor little guy.
That's cool that she has an interest and can help at the vet to find out before she decides if it's the thing she wants to do with her life.
When our debt is paid off, I told hubby that I don't want a bigger house or better car, I want to give my kids options by letting them take different classes and seeing what they love. I want to invest in their future, you know?



I tease. My mom said She didn't know how I was going to teach my DD when I wasn't such a good student myself. Thanks, Mom...

But, Janet, what about the Fresh Prince of Bell Aire? West Philadelphia, born and raised... Now he's a mega super star with cute kids, lots of money and a sweet wife!

When people say debt free--does that mean no mortgage? Cause we keep buying and selling so much, I think that would be hard. I have 1 more car payment till no payments on them (of course, now the repair bills start).....and I make a policy to never pay any credit card interest.

And the Fresh Prince had to move outta Philly cause it was too dangerous "...I got in 1 little fight and my mom got scared...." SING IT!

He told him his name, and that we have 3 little shells. Crush said, “Yeah, I have 78.”

It has cool facts on each page too. I was impressed that the book was the same as on the cover, not marked up.

All of my kids names weren't super common when I picked them. They've become a bit more widely used in the last few years, though.

Guess what? My MIL called last night and told us she has to have surgery on your Bday. She has an aneurism in her brain and they have to go put a stint in. Apparently they go through the groin now, though so it's less invasive. That'll be a stressful day!
