1000 - Something Special - Please Read

I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR MY 1000 POST - SO HERE GOES.

I HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH ALL THE MAJOR PIN BOARDS AND HAVE BEEN GRANTED PERMISSION TO DO SOMETHING SPECIAL.

THANKS TO PINHOOK, THE PEACHIDENT, HE HAS GRANTED ME PEACHIDENTAL PERMISSION TO USE HIS LIKENESS ON A VERY SPECIAL PIN.

I HAVE CREATED THE PINHOOK FOR PEACHIENT PIN, MODELED AFTER THE BELOVED MICKEY FOR PRESIDENT. IT HAS AN AMERICAN FLAG ON IT AND A LIKENESS OF OUR PEACHIDENT, AND IT IS A LIMITED EDITION OF 250 PINS.

IT IS A GREAT LOOKING PIN AND WE ARE ASKING A SMALL DONATION OF $5.00 FOR THIS PIN WITH ALL THE PROCEEDS GOING TO THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY. MY HOPES ARE TO RAISE $1000 AND DONATE IT AT THE RELAY FOR LIFE IN JUNE HERE IN BALTIMORE AT THE ESSEX COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

SO MANY OF OUR FRIENDS IN THE PIN COMMUNITY HAS BEEN TOUCHED BY CANCER. SOME ARE GOING THRU A TOUGH BATTLE RIGHT NOW. MY HOPES ARE THAT THIS DONATION WILL HELP TO FIND A CURE SO NO ONE ELSE HAS TO GO THRU THIS DREADED ILLNESS.

SO HERE IS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO. SEND ME A CHECK MADE OUT TO THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY WITH YOUR DONATION - AND YOU CAN GET AS MANY PINS AS YOU LIKE.

DELIVERY OF THE PINS IS EXPECTED IN ABOUT 4 WEEKS. THE PINS WILL BE MAILED TO YOU BY FIRST CLASS MAIL AS SOON AS I RECEIVE THEM. YOU WILL ALSO GET A RECEIPT FROM THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY FOR YOUR DONATION. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO SEND A LITTLE EXTRA FOR POSTAGE AND HANDLING THAT WOULD BE FINE, BUT IF NOT, THAT IS OKAY TOO.

I AM EXCITED ABOUT THIS PROJECT AND I KNOW ALL THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE ON THE BOARDS ARE VERY KIND AND GENEROUS.

Today when I came home I had a pile of little white envelopes filled with checks and money and pin requests.

Thank you everyone - people are requesting 5 pins at a time and sending way more money then pin requests.

Thank you so much - I knew I could count on you guys.

My daugher is in the process of changing all the computers around. When I can find my desk, I will let everyone know how we are doing towards our goal of $1000.00.
