1000 Revervations per hour?

I called today to see if I could move some of my ressies up (I'm going 12/23 - 12/27) and I couldn't move anything up. The CM told me that they are booking 1000 reservations per hour during Christmas time. Could that possibly be true?

I would not be surprised as it is Christmas at WDW and it is very busy. I went one year at that time and said never again...too crowded. But I do understand people going then, it is such a special time at WDW...everything decorated, people shopping, just so festive.

When I booked 2 more ADRs the other day, I got 2 confirmation numbers, the 2nd one about 15 "higher" than the 1st. So assuming it took the CM a minute to check my date/time and enter our info to get a confirmation number for the 2nd res, I guess that means 15 other ADRs were made during that time. (Does that make any sense? )

Anyway, at 15 a minute, that's about 900 an hour, so I guess your CM was right!

I don't doubt it. DRC is open for 13 hours - that would be 13,000 reservations in a day. Some families don't do sit down, some will do one, two or three...so I'd not be surprised if that was correct.

Oh...I would be actually surprised if they were doing 1000 now - since Christmas is very booked. But a couple of weeks ago, maybe.

Don't forget, you also have Itinerary Planning Offices, Guest Relations and Lobby Concierge booking dining as well.

Heck--when I make multiple ADR's on a normal day, by the time I get to my second restaurant, my confirmation # has gone up perhaps 30-40 digits. And that's only in a few minutes!!

I could believe that. We tried last week to get something for a dinner and everything was full. We just show up early and have gotten a seat quickly each time.

This is kind of surprising since their haven't been many Christmas-time choices in a while.
