Okay, bare with me... I'm new at this. I have a bunch of questions that don't relate to one another so feel free to answer ALL or ANY of these for me. Thank you ahead of time for graciously taking the time to walk me through...

First, my family will be traveling in AUgust 2008 (it is even a surprise for my DH!- see I understand the acronyms now).

I made a split reservation- booked five nights at the POP and one night at WL. Does Disney move my things for me? Do I have to be there for the move? (because that would kill one day of park visits)

Also, I was told that because I made technicaly two reservations- I could only do the park tickets plus dining for six days instead of seven- because technically that is how many days I am staying at the POP. If I wanted the seventh day it would be extremely more money because I would have to purchase a one day ticket plus dining for four people (instead of adding on a seventh day to my six-day pass) Do you get it? Has this happened to anyone else?

Another question? Can I ship a package ahead of tiem to my hotel room. I wanted to surprise the family- maybe send a nice package for each of our two kids to have in the room ahead of time. Is this possible?

And... really I am sorry for the length... I am a bit of a control freak. I like to have EVERYTHING planned ahead of time. If I have free dining- do I still need to use a personal credit card to hold a restaurant reservation? I have the first date that I can make food reservations (February 5th) Is there a secret way to make it sooner?

K. One more thing. Is there something special I can do for the kids (using the concierge) when we arrive or at a park? I have been looking through the posts and can't find exactly what I am looking for. I don't exactly know what I am looking for.
Thank you again for your help.

Disney will move your items for you. You don't have to move them or stay. Check at the front desk for the procedure.

Can't answer this one, have never done a split stay.

Yes, you can ship things ahead. Ship them to your attention care of the resort and I usually put my arrival date and confirmation number on the package also. You can find the direct resort address on www.allearsnet.com for sure. I think you should arrange for the package to arrive no more than 5 days before you arrive. I think I read that somewhere.

Don't worry about the questions...I'm a complete control freak and even put aside money for known expenses! Ask away.
Special stuff...there are quite a few things you can do. You can have a cake or dessert stuff delivered to the room. We always plan something special for our daughter. This last trip was an Illuminations Firework Cruise. One suggestion is to call your resort direct and speak with a concierge and ask them what special type things are available at your resort.
Feel free to PM if you have any other questions.

1ayou don't have to be there. Pop will pick up and deliver - just make sure you leave good instructions. you won't get your luggage until you call bell services once you arrive in your WL room.

2aYou can't split a package. So yes. What I would do is not use the DDP on your arrival day. Pop is fairly reasonable priced. so just use cash or cc at POp for that first day. You need to buy a 6 day ticket - which you can do - just remember you need the Pop Id to get into the park and for DDP. So you would need to keep up with WL and Pop ID that last day.

3aYes you can ship a package. Not a problem. just be sure to include your reservation number, date you are arriving, your name, and resort plus the resort address.

4aI think for the princess you still need the Credit card - tell them you have DDP and see what they say. the other places don't require a CC.

you don't need to go through concierge - order it through one of these places
